I had such a great time coming through this location the other day. I was with my mother in law who had been to Dutch Bros in other states and wanted to go so bad and I can see why! The service was so friendly and the kind girl at the walkup window helped walk me through the menu since it was my first time. I got the golden eagle with sugar free and it was good. I also got their coffee crumb cake too which was a nice treat before the beach day we had. Although I'm not from this area, it's a place I frequent. I wasn't aware DB was even being built so I was super excited to see it on my recent trip out this way. I'm generally a fan of their coffee & their customer service is always solid so I made it a point to stop by on my way out of town. I already knew what to expect when pulling up to their drive thru but it's always cool to see what seasonal drinks they're running at the time. I can only speak for their coffee but they also have a nice variety of other drinks to choose from. They offer teas, energy drinks, lemonades & chai beverages along with a few others. You can get your drink served hot, iced, or frozen/blended, as well. The banana bread drinks they were offering caught my eye this time around so I figured I'd try something new. I ordered a simple banana bread cold brew with cream, no sugar & no foam top along with one other drink, simple enough you'd think. However, when I got to the window my cold brew was loaded with all the sugary goodness like they usually offer it. I'm one to pick & choose battles so I took it for what it was because knew it'd be tasty at the end of the day. While yes it was tasty, it wasn't even close to what I ordered. Unfortunately, when you're paying almost $7 a drink something as easy as that shouldn't be messed up. The 2 employees I interacted with were incredibly nice & the service was fast, albeit a little inaccurate. This isn't enough to keep me from coming back but I just hope it'll be right next time. "You can't put a price on good ______ (blank)" is a motto I occasionally hear about multiple services. Whether it be: a fine dining experience, the local car wash, the mechanic you've known for years, or in this case your favorite coffee spot. Coffee in Pinellas County is like Tree Trimming services or your pool guy, they're abundant and generally are very competitive. Therefore, a new coffee place coming to town has to offer something of quality to compete or disrupt the market. Tl;dr - My experience wasn't the best. "You can't put a price on good coffee;" I'd like to think I can order better, more convenient coffee at a number of nearby locations. So, why wasn't it best? Speed. Operation. Price and Quality. First, Speed. Drove up at 6:20 am (Dutch Bros is open from 5:00 am to 10:00 pm). Waiting in line for about 8 minutes before ordering and took another 10 before getting my coffee and driving off. I ordered with a woman on a tablet, but when I got to the window the barista asked me "you got the nitro cold brew black, right?" Responded saying "yes, that's me." Then was asked "Are you sure you don't want any cream or foam on top?" I understand the desire to upcharge, but this saying "no thank you" didn't make this process any faster. Second, Operation. When sitting there waiting for the order to be complete, the barista started talking to a coworker about my order. The location has no store front and you can walk up to order or drive thru, like I did. The point being is I can see the entire operation from the drive thru window and all the equipment. So I can see the coffee being made as I sit in my car. They seemed friendly to each other, but ultimately I want my coffee at this point as it's now 6:35 am as I've been in line for 15 minutes. Wait no longer though, as the barista pulls out a can and pours my drink into it. Puts a lid on top, looks it over, spins it around, then handed it to me. Asked again "Do you want any sugar with it," responding with "I'm good, thank you" and drove off. Eighteen minutes to get a coffee they poured from a can, my order was made at the window in front of me, talked about, and finally handed off before handling the now 4 other cars behind me. If they make every order at the window as a car pulls up, I can't imagine what happens when it gets busier. Third and finally, Price and Quality. I paid $5.75 for this drink and I can't say this is anything better than alright. Dutch Bros coffee menu is expansive, but if the base nitro cold brew coffee (coffee made over ice and poured through nitro) is just alright, afterwards you're just paying for the sugars and syrups in my opinion. [Subtle notes of vanilla is the only derivative flavor I get outside of its black coffee]. If you're looking for coffee in a bind and few other options, give it a whirl. If you're looking for the something unique and worth the time to drive to - look elsewhere. I would not recommend Dutch Bros Coffee - 3/5 read more

This was my first time visiting this Dutch Bros Coffee and my experience was good. They have two drive up lanes with a sign telling you to pick the shortest line. The ordering process was pretty simple and pretty quick. I ordered the Annihilator iced latte which is espresso, half and half and chocolate macadamia syrup. While not at all low in calories it was definitely worth the splurge. My son got the banana bread iced latte and asked for no soft top which is a sweet topping, similar to whipped cream on it. Our order was ready very quickly and the staff were encountered were really nice. The reason for the four stars is they put the soft top on his drink anyway. Really?! I LOVE this place!! The drinks are delicious and baristas all have such great personalities. They really do a great job working the car line even during busy times. My fav drinks are the Rebel Energy Zero Sugar and iced Golden Eagle (Caramel). I do wish they had a better food menu but I still get excited for a DB trip. The most anticipated opening of the year, in my opinion. I've been living in Largo for 7 years and there have been a few spots that opened up but I was especially excited for this one! I love supporting my local coffee shops in Tampa and St Pete but I was so happy to have something just a few minutes from home. I was absolutely clueless ordering at first as there's so many options and things to substitute but I resorted to Tiktok to guide me and it didn't disappoint. Not only is there a normal menu but I was able to order off of the secret menu too. Anyways, the OG Grand Canyon breve was delicious and a bit sweeter than my average order. But It was a nice treat/pick me up! The drive-thru gets a little packed so I like parking to the side by Sprouts and walking up. Took less than 10 minutes :) read more

Came through Dutch Bros on an insanely busy day and was genuinely impressed. There had to be at least 25 cars split between two drive-thru lanes, and somehow the team worked it like absolute magic. Fast, efficient, and still friendly -- no small feat under that kind of pressure. I ordered the Golden Eagle iced coffee, and it was spot-on. The caramel and vanilla were perfectly balanced, smooth and flavorful without being cloyingly sweet (which I really appreciate). So many coffee drinks tip into dessert territory, but this one stayed true to being a great coffee first. Come here at least 2 to 3 times a week to get coffee for my husband and I. I have only had one instance where the coffee was not good and they made it right by giving me two free coffees for the inconvenience. They take your orders manually through the drive-through and every single person that works there has been incredibly polite and patient with each person. Dutch Brothers is new to our area and they have so many options that there's no way in a lifetime. You can try everything. You'll need a little patience because sometimes they are a little bit slow, but it is absolutely worth every second you spend. I recommend using the app because you can actually see all of the options they really offer and also become a part of their rewards program. Other than coffee, they also sell custom, lemonades, energy drinks, milkshakes, and a few snacks. I recommend the muffin tops. They're really good! I am so glad that Dutch Brothers finally came to our area. Truly, this is the only place I go for coffee anymore, and It will probably remain the only place. if you feel adventurous I wanna try something completely new and don't like it, let them know right away and they'll make you something else. Their prices are great much less compared to any other major coffee chain and they don't charge you to change to almond milk or oat milk like all of the others do. Amazing price difference from Starbucks. Love that. Mixed opinions on customer service. Some times it is outstanding, some times it is questionable. Today, the employee taking orders visibly leaned on a car and talked with her friends for a long time after taking payment and being finished with their order. Making us wait. We asked for extra caramel drizzle both in and on top and got barely any in the drink that comes with it to begin with. Meanwhile, the drinks the car ahead of us got were visible LOADED with caramel, drenched, the entire cup is made of caramel. I've been so excited to try this location, I always go to Dutch Bros in Gilbert AZ. When I pulled in there was a nice young lady that helped me with my order. She was knowledgeable and efficient. So now I pull up in the line and I was the 3rd car to the pickup window. The car that was at the window took over 10 minutes before she was able to drive away. A drink would be handed to her and a second later the drink would be passed back to the lady to remake it. Then another drink would be passed out to this customer and yet again she passed it back to the worker, a few minutes later another drink would be passed out to this customer. Guess what? Yes, she passed it back to the worker. I appreciate that that want to get the order right for the customer but, the amount of time that this took was insane. Why didn't they have this car pull out into a parking spot and let this long line go thru??? If this is how it's going to roll out this will not make it! I will not wait 15 -20 mins in line again and only being the 3rd car from the window.
