I'm new to the area from Southern California, so I was pretty excited to try Dutch Bros. I wasn't disappointed. Their specialty drinks are a bit too sweet for my tastes, but their plain lattes are solid. The folks working at this particular Dutch Bros. are always friendly and quick - which is nice because sometimes the line extends to the street. If I'm completely honest, I (just slightly) prefer the coffee from Brown Cow, but my partner prefers Dutch Bros, so we end up here quite often. I will say that their rewards system is pretty decent and I really appreciate how easy it is to tip from the app since I rarely carry cash. *UPDATE* (10-22-18) The White Mocha I had today was disgusting. In fact, the last drink I had there, German Chocolate, was also bad. I would avoid this location. *ORIGINAL* (7-7-17) They had the music so loud that the girl had to keep asking for our order because she couldn't hear us. It is not professional to have blasting music that your customers may not enjoy. That is putting the EMPLOYEE first and the customer second. I like Dutch brothers as a company but I have been going to this one off and on for about 4 years cause it is on my way to work. I will often go out of my way to get coffee from a different location because this one fails at the following. 1) consistency - the same drink rarely tastes the way it should. 2) charges - I have been charged for a larger sized multiple times. 3) miss informed workers - I have been told multiple times by the employees at this location. Great coffee. I liked getting a gift card and getting 10% off. Spent 18 and got a 20 dollar gift card. Works for me.

The employees are great, everyone was very sweet and made my coffee well. What I have a problem with this specific establishment is the continuous sexual harassment that has been done from the upper staff (shift leads). One male employee specifically always seems extremely uncomfortable while with the girl shift lead. I believe her name is Amy, and there needs to be something done about this. I will never give my money to this specific establishment due to the blatant ignoring of sexual harassment. All the other employees are fantastic and always brighten my day, she is the only issue I have. This needs to be brought to attention, and I will make sure to let everyone I know to never give their money to a company who does nothing to protect their workers from sexual harassment. No one should feel uncomfortable going to work and this is unacceptable. Hopefully something is done about this, because this will negatively impact business. read more

We went to the DB near Lowes in Albany just before 4:00pm on Sunday. We pulled in behind a car that was already at the window. A girl with straight blonde hair was leaning out the window talking to the guy in the car. No problem, we assumed the guy was just waiting for his drink and the barista was conversing while he waited. We were definitely seen, and we waited and waited and waited as we watched them visit. After several minutes the guy in the car just drove off...with no drink. We literally waited so that they could have a conversation. She was more interested in chatting with him than doing her job. After being shocked at such a lack of courtesy we just drove off. read more

It was 4:50am and I pulled into the drive through. I did not realize that they did not open until 5:00am. I was greeted with a super smiley and genuinely kind person. When I asked if they were open she said something to the effect of "I would love to get you something to drink - what would you like?" She did not make me feel bad for getting their early and it was not awkward at all. I ordered a simple americano. We chit chatted - she asked how I was, I told her the story of my father being in the hospital - she genuinely listened. I offered her my credit card and then I think she attempted to run it but then handed it back to me and said not to worry about it. She said she hopes my day goes well and I could tell she truly cared. I have worked in the service industry for 25 years and I felt compelled to say THANK YOU to Emily for sharing her kindness with me when I visited Albany last month.
