I have had Vera's Cleaning coming to clean my house every two weeks for the past 9 months. The…read morepricing seemed fair-- 2-3 individuals would come to clean for around 2-3 hours. I was even assured Vera would be doing my cleaning. And she did...for a while. In the beginning the results were "fine". Never great, never bad....just fine. (And the person who recommended them said the same when they made the recommendation.) Then suddenly Vera was not coming with the other cleaner(s), the cleaning was even more hit and miss, something was broken every visit but I was never informed--I would have to discover it myself--and one item was near $1k in original value. Like the other reviewers, Vera's cleaners began spending less and less time here, and sent fewer people (but continued to charge the same). When I tried to address these things with the man who seems to run the business, it often resulted in a lot of ballooned BS without any actionable results. I am not a difficult person, I am mostly flexible on timing even though I work from home, my home is not large, this should have been a pretty straightforward transactional relationship. The last text I sent trying to reset expectations on what needed to be accomplished was not responded to and instead they just sent one person to clean and she stayed for an hour--which is highway robbery. The simple requests via text (which were things they used to provide regularly but had stopped) did not happen. If you're looking for consistent and easy cleaning partners to support your busy schedule, save yourself the trouble and find someone other than Vera's. ...and please let me know if you have any suggestions, as I am now seeking new solutions! It's come to the point that they're not even worth continuing to keep on until I find a replacement....that should say everything you need to know.

After a while you couldn't even tell they had come to clean. They were paid $100 to clean for two hours and they were only spending an hour. They were being overpaid to not even do a decent job. After this discovery they were contacted and didn't make any effort to return the call for almost a month. She stopped a couple checks after a few weeks due to them having no common decency to try and resolve the issue and when they finally called Vera's husband made threats. I would highly recommend going elsewhere.

I am floored about how fanatically cleaned my place is now. They charged me a very reasonable rate for 2x cleaners on an hourly basis. Two very hard working women showed up and cleaned relentlessly, every surface in my house sparkles. I have a collection of rather fragile and expensive books, having called that out they were most respectful and gentle with my favorite possessions. I was already sold halfway through on going with them for regular cleaning, and they just kept going. I keep my place neat, but am very good at not seeing dirt on things like walls / cabinets etc.. and genuinely I didn't notice how dirty my place was... until they came! I have gone on cleaning frenzies in the past, but I have never in my life existed in such a clean space. I am thrilled with how my space is now, the difference is night and day. I have to use them for regular cleaning if for no other reason than I had no idea it was possible to have my house so clean! Seriously... check these people out. They kick ass! I keep finding new stuff they cleaned that would have never occurred to me to clean, and I continue to be impressed by their fanatical dedication to quality cleaning. Also, they didn't even ask me to write this review. They genuinely cleaned my place so hard I feel compelled to tell other people about it.
