We came here for Dinner on I believe the 8th 0f may 2025. in a Word. Bad! First off, when we came in the Place was Freezing Cold. it was Cold Outside. Inside was Freezing! We came around 8:00. I guess at 7:30 they Probably turn the Air down to "Meat Locker" settings to get everyone to Leave! So We get waited on. We ordered The Shrimp Cocktail. waiting waiting. So server comes over and takes the rest of our order. Fine. soon after she Brings The salads over. now I don't know about you, but I like (and the Proper way to serve) is The Appetizer comes out First. then the salad. then the Main Course. So we just barley started our salads when The appetizer comes out. Absolutely Ridiculous! Okay, okay. not a fine dinning Place, But still!! So then our Dinner comes. My friend ordered the "Chicken francese, it was the Weirdest looking chicken I have ever seen!! this was not chicken breast. it looked Like "Breaded Chicken feet"! was Horrible! I had The old stand buy. Eggplant Parm. Which was old school Eggplant Parm. Eggplant in an Oval dish with melted Parmesan on top. Wasn't bad. not much Flavor to it. Plus I had just worked out before coming here. so I was not all that Hungry to begin with. The sauce Tasted like Ragu or Canned sauce. Here though is the worse part! They Charge you 3.95% to use your Credit Card. Which is Illegal!! You cannot Charge More than the Credit card company charges them to process the Charge. (New Jersey State law) The Max they should be Charging is 3% I did some research (i haven't called the Credit Card Company up yet) from my research though. they most likely charge Dusal's 2-3% Once I get confirmation From the CC company. I am going to file a Complaint with the New Jersey Consumer Affairs Bureau. this is out and Out Fleecing the Customer and just plain greed! They need to Change this law. making it illegal to Charge Customers for using their Credit card. you want to charge 1 or 2% Transaction fee. Fine. Don't rip us off. hopefully there will be a "Class Action" lawsuit against business's that Over Charge like this. though I doubt it. there is no money in it for Lawyers, so forget about that. Hopefully NJ Consumer division will step in and do something. So, I will never be eating at Dusal's again!

Penne vodka dinner. You get bread and salad. You get enough food for 2 people and i still had a little left over. Salad is ok but bread dipped in sauce was delicious.

Dusal's has been my favorite pizza restaurant for going on... 20 years now. Anytime I'm home, it's my first stop. The service is excellent, the food is excellent. Dine in for a cute meal or take out-- you're good to go!

Overall really solid sub. Filling , as you can see from the picture. Fries were pretty good too. Definitely would want to try a bunch of other things on the menu

    Cheese slice

A delicious thin crust slice of pizza! I came in asking for just a cheese slice, I didn't see any on the counter but the man behind the counter made me one from scratch, I saw him kneading the dough. Took a bit longer but I was happy with my crispy and fresh slice. It had the perfect amount of cheese and the sauce was sweet and tangy, a wonderful bite of pizza. A lot of reviews mention rude front workers, just wanted to call out that I didn't experience anything untoward!

    Children's Penne Vodka

I am giving this restaurant 1-star due to the horrible service I received. I had a coupon for Dusal's (see attached) and was excited to try them for the first time. I called and placed an order during lunch time of a children's penne vodka and a chicken Caesar salad. When I presented the employee with my activated coupon, he said I could not use it. He then took my phone and read the fine print. He told me the coupon could only be used on entrees and that a children's penne vodka did not count. What???? Entree: (noun) "the main course of a meal." Then, he tells me that this coupon could only be used for dine-in orders. How was I suppose to know that when I did not active my coupon (which expires after a set amount of time) until arriving at the restaurant?? I was frustrated but did not continue going back and forth with the employee. I should've walked out right then and there and not taken the food at all, but I paid anyway and left. The food was not anything special and definitely was not worth the headache. The chicken for the Caesar salad didn't come in the salad; so we had to create the salad with the pieces of chicken they provided in aluminum foil. I will not be returning nor recommending this restaurant to anyone.

The strip mall itself isn't anything special, but the surrounding area is beautiful , and once you're inside, the restaurant feels warm and inviting. The food is fantastic, and the variety on the menu is impressive. The chef clearly knows what they're doing because every single dish we tried was genuinely delicious. It's the kind of spot where you can't go wrong: date night, dinner with friends, or anything in between. We brought our own bottle and had a great time. Our waiter was super knowledgeable, friendly, and patient. The staff even joked around with me when I forgot my to‑go bag, and yes, I absolutely took it home because the food is that good. I also appreciate that they don't act like offering takeout is beneath them; even the takeout bag was nice. I honestly wish my meals were this good every night. I hope everyone who works here is paid well and enjoys what they do, because they're running the place exactly how a restaurant should be run. It feels like a true community staple somewhere that transports you a bit and makes the whole experience feel special. Lovely all around.

We stood around awkwardly for way too long before anyone acknowledged us, and when they finally did, it felt like we were inconveniencing them by existing. Zero sense of urgency, zero customer service. The pizza itself? Hugely disappointing. For something branded as "artisan," I expected something special. Instead, the crust was burnt on the bottom and somehow still doughy inside, the sauce was overly sweet, and the toppings were skimpy at best. It honestly tasted like a frozen pizza trying to cosplay as fancy. Definitely not worth the price they're charging. What really sealed the deal was the owner, Tino. Instead of stepping in to improve the experience, he came off as a cocky prick who clearly thinks his food is untouchable. There was this smug, dismissive attitude -- like customers should feel lucky just to be there. Any feedback or questions were met with condescension rather than professionalism. If that's the tone being set from the top, it explains a lot about how the place is run. The whole atmosphere had this weird pretentious vibe, like if you don't "get it," that's somehow your fault. Sorry, but if you're charging premium prices, the least you can do is serve food that's consistently good and treat people with basic respect. By the time we left, we all agreed the same thing -- we should've gone literally anywhere else. There are way better pizza spots that cost less, taste better, and don't make you feel unwelcome. Hard pass. Won't be back, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

With many…read morespectacular reviews both online and through those I've spoken to in person, I had such high hopes that I was going to find my new go-to pizza spot, but I don't think I will ever return after this encounter. We dined in on a snowy evening when there were no other patrons in the restaurant. Very few stopped in to grab to-go orders, but we were the only group to actually sit and eat dinner here. Upon reaching the counter in search of a menu, our first negative encounter occurred. We asked an employee if we could see a menu, and he dismissed us quite quickly in a rude manner, telling us to look on the counter as if we were blind. No menus there, nothing was there actually, leaving us standing confused. Once he realized his mistake, menus were thrown onto the counter without another word spoken. During this time a family did walk into the restaurant to pick up a to-go orders, which was not yet prepared, leaving them to stand and wait. When we decided on our order and approached the counter once again, we were told we had to wait 5 minutes for them to take our order. Understandable if the restaurant was busy and the front of house staff were in the middle of doing something, but no - the person who told us to wait 5 minutes was just standing there, doing nothing. This employee was not actively making the other guest's order (as there was a back kitchen responsible for that), leaving us even more confused as to why we had to stand there waiting, face to face with the employee, who was just standing and staring at us. After a few minutes of standing in confusion, the other employee who we encountered prior began arguing with this one, in front of the guests waiting for food, leaving us in a very awkward position. Only after the employee was scolded by his coworker was our order officially taken down. Once we received our food we sat at the few tables Ninos had to enjoy our meal. Throughout our dinner the two workers remained arguing with each other, outwardly discussing staffing issues and leaving us to feel unwelcome. Upon leaving, we packed up our leftovers and returned to the counter in search of a bag to place our food in. When asking the staff for a bag, we were thrown a stack of paper bags and told to take what we needed. Since the bag looked to be on the smaller end, we asked if this bag would fit the aluminum tray of food that we had leftover, to which the staff replied "I don't know, go figure it out for yourself." The food was decent, the pizza was crispy but nothing to write home about. During the time we dined in the options for pizza were a bit limited (understandably). The penne vodka was just okay, we felt as if it was pretty bland and heavy on the cream. The best thing consumed here was the Philly cheesesteak - messy and cheesy in the best way, but also lacking flavor and could have used a sharper cheese or even some salt. The bread was fresh and soft, which would be great for other hero sandwiches they serve. With the food being mediocre and the service horrific, we definitely did not feel welcome when dining in here. Throwing items at customers seems to be a common activity here, along with dismissive remarks and constant arguing between the staff making you feel as if you've intruded on personal matters. If the service were better my group would have considered returning, but this experience has left a bad taste in our mouths overall.
