Explained this, was quoted verbally, charged upfront for the service (this came in handy for them later), service was completed, but installed several inches below ground level with no visible cover and they left. When calling to ask about this issue after the technician left, they stated I should have asked for a detailed quote upfront and had them scope/measure the depth onsite first, because the tank was at a depth where an above ground riser would have stuck 3 inches above ground. They said they "assumed it was the proper depth" when quoting me over the phone and not admitting their mistake- and even claimed they had explained this requirement upfront (which they did not). This is a clear example of taking advantage of the customer to get the job and trying to bait them into an upsell- because they tried to upsell me grading of the lawn to make the riser proper depth. Worst of all- they blamed me for their upfront quoting mistake. My only mistake was trusting them to quote/complete the service properly. Will not be doing business with them again since they charged for a service that has no value/did not accomplish what I requested.

I think $250 an hour is an unacceptable rate to charge for a simple task. I'll be sure to not use them again.

I encountered an issue when my septic system was blocked and backed up into my basement…read more LaPierre's was one of the only companies I could find in the local area that would pick up their phone after hours, and could actually give me some straight answers. I wasn't sure if I had access to the tank due to ice, and this is the only company that assured me if I had the lid handle exposed we could get to it. I requested to know how much it would cost for an after hours call (Saturday), expecting the price to be near double normal rate, to which the operator responded "an extra $25". When the problem turned out to be more severe than initially expected, the responding technician would not accept any payment, despite the 30+ minutes he attempted to clear the obstruction with the regular pump truck and metal bar. The responding technician offered to come out the next day (Sunday), despite the fact that his wife was actively going in to labor. I politely declined and requested we schedule for Monday instead, due to his situation. He showed up with more advanced equipment first thing Monday morning, and had the problem resolved within an hour. In addition to quickly repairing the problem, the technician took the time to explain the intricate workings of the system, proper maintenance, and steps I can try to take on my own to correct an issue before calling someone (This instance was severe, I would not have been able to correct without a professional). Excellent experience, and I hope that I can find a similar company for all my home needs.

LaPierre and I do not know each other, but they helped me the same day I contacted them. In an afternoon, two people dug the line, with a small back hoe, replaced the pipe and used a load of sand, removing the junk off my property. They then seeded it. The invoice was very fair.

Instead of taking responsibility, the company blamed the issue on "old pipes" and has been completely unresponsive to my repeated calls and requests to speak with a manager. To make matters worse, after causing thousands in damage, they had the audacity to send me a bill for hundreds of dollars. This business has shown a complete lack of professionalism, accountability, and customer care. I strongly urge anyone considering Zoom Drain to look elsewhere.
