Bar went defunct this past summer of 2026. Out of Business. Building was sold. Was fun while it lasted.

Service was fantastic the whole time. We were never left wanting for anything, and drinks and food came out at a perfect pace. We started off with drinks and the dill cheese curds appetizer. I was very happy that they had four ciders available, and I went with the pear choice, which turned out to be Magner's. The curds were fantastic, with loads of dill in the crisp breading. The curds had a perfect pull and squeak. My kid had the fettucine alfredo and rated it as "very good." (He also enjoyed the leftovers the next day). My husband had the smothered ribeye sandwich and requested no mushrooms. He had fries on the side. He said this is one of the best ribeye sandwiches he's ever had. I had the fish tacos, and wow, they were delicious. It included two tacos, and each one had two massive, very hot fish nuggets. The lettuce and tomatoes were fresh. I had my choice of side and went with coleslaw, which was good. Note that this is a brewery, but they had none of their beers available during our visit because they had just transferred to new ownership. Based on our experience, we definitely need to return when they have their own beers on tap again and then we can try more of their food, too!

Lots of memorabilia from long defunct breweries. My Bloody Mary was excellent as were my fish tacos. There are multiple options for pescatarians though probably a bit more challenging for vegans, which is not unusual in this part of the world. While we visited their onsite brewing was on hiatus because they need to be re-licensed after the ownership change. Looking forward to that happening!

Finally! Stopped in early Friday night to my 384th brewery w friends who are local. I mean I knew…read moreit was also a B&B but.... when you pull up?.... fer cute!! A few little yard arts, chairs, and plants...very welcoming! The B&B is on the left and the tap room is on the right, the garage, where the covered patio is. Co-owner Brenda was behind the bar. They had a good tap list, not overwhelming but enough to quench any palate. There was also a good list of guest taps, all Inbound. When Brenda mentioned she could pour me an "air" I responded... oh Lucid Air! That's one I hadn't heard in a minute! The tap room is very cozy and w Brenda also being a travel agent there is travel destination suggestions on the tap list. Mid visit the Brewer/co-owner, Ford came behind the bar. There was a decent selection of vinyl....not sure if they have a record player or it's just fun "decoration"? My friend gave me the explanation of the names on the shelving behind her. Again....fer cute!! I won't divulge it, go on & ask for yourself, I think it'd be funner hearing it in person from an owner! One friend opted for an Inbound beer. After having Brenda pour me a taste of Chubby Chipmonk Pale Wheat, which was good but better than a standard wheat beer since it's a Pale Wheat, so if you're looking for a muted beer, this isn't it, so go on and taste it. I asked my other friend f I could have a sip of his Bicycle Brown? There it is....that's what my palate is looking for! I opted for a pint of Bicycle Brown Ale... it hit the mark....as I still had a couple hour drive in front of me to the cities. Thanks Hoppy Girl for the delicious beer in such a comfortable & welcoming environment served up by a couple of pretty wonderful owners, cheers!

The second of the breweries I visited in Menomonie, WI was Zymurgy. I can't believe the quality of…read morebreweries they have in this town. It took me longer than I want to admit to order due to their extensive tap list and everything sounding good. I ended up getting a flight with some additional small pours to get a taste of as many beers as I could! Zymurnator IV: A Doppelbock brewed in celebration of their fourth anniversary. Where most breweries create cloyingly sweet doppelbocks, they lagered this one well creating a good balanced malt sweetness with a clean finish. Barrel Aged Talisman (2022): A Barleywine that they barrel aged for additional character. Tiny flavors of oak and vanilla meld with toffee, caramel, and toasted bread. A beautiful celebration of a barleywine. Marzanna the Crone - Vanilla (2023): A Russian Imperial Stout with Vanilla added. Burn sugar, coffee, and roast malt with a slight vanilla sweetness. Similar to their other beers it is well balanced with the adjunct not overtaking the base beer. Crazy Fingers: A Dunkelweizen brewed in the traditional German tradition. They use a German yeast train that creates the classic banana / clove aroma and taste, but with the darker malt flavors reminiscent of toasted bread and caramel. Think banana bread in liquid form. Afternoon Joe: A Blonde Ale with coffee added from Ruby Roasters of Nelsonville. Big bold coffee bitterness in a lighter bodied and refreshing ale. Very espresso / roast forward, which I really enjoy. We were a day early to their yearly Stout festival, but I made sure to grab a couple bottles of the different Lambics they add to go! ___________

New Riders of the Pilsner Haze: A New Zealand Pilsner hopped with Nectaron, Nelson Sauvin, and SubZero Hop Kief. The Owl Farm Experiment: An Experimental IPA brewed with Strata, Mosaic, and Galaxy. Tropical fruit smacks you in the face with citrus and peach coming in the next round. The Diesel Fitzgerald: A Dunkel using Midnight Wheat and Dark Munich malts.
