Pumpkin spice coffee cake donut: 5 stars. This was delicious. No detractors to this donut whatsoever. Cinnamon roll: 4 stars. Pretty decent. Comparable to some of the better donut places out there. Lots of cinnamon flavor. Great crunch. Vanilla cream custard cronut: 5 stars. Raspberry on top was lovely. Custard was delicious and well spread across the donut. Creme brulee: 4 stars. Donut was moist. Cream was good but not much of a crunch on the outside. Raspberry on top gets 5 stars.

While they weren't the best donuts I've ever had and some of the unique flavors were a miss, I'd rate them an overall 4.5/5, and am happy to round up since the lady at the counter was nice and sweet, which is always appreciated when frequenting a small business like Chin Up Donuts.

If I hadn't noticed initially, I probably would've given it to a customer as I've done before. My drink was tasty: refreshing and a strong honey flavor, which I love. It was beautiful with the lavender syrup(?) on top. The donuts were a nice variety and I didn't expect so many, so that was a pleasant surprise. I really liked the cinnamon sugar (classic), creme brûlée, and the seasonal cinnamon roll. The blueberry and the chocolate sprinkle ones were great, too. I got the peach cobbler cupcake, which was almost $7, and for that price I was definitely expecting more. The texture was honestly so strange. The outside was dry and crumbly, while the inside had this really dense, gummy/doughy texture. Somehow it was dry and doughy at the same time. There were actual pieces of peach in it, but I could barely taste any peach flavor. Overall, it just didn't have much flavor at all. I'm not sure if it was specifically the flavor I chose or if it's because I'm not really used to vegan baked goods. I can definitely appreciate that they offer options for people who are vegan, have allergies, or have certain dietary restrictions and still want to satisfy their sweet tooth. But for me personally, the taste and quality just didn't justify paying almost $7 for one cupcake. The customer service didn't really help the experience either. Since it was my first time, I asked the girl at the front what their best sellers were and what she recommended. I was genuinely trying to make conversation and get some guidance on what I should try, but she wasn't very helpful or engaging. It honestly felt like I was talking to a wall. Overall, it's a cute spot and I appreciate what they offer for people with dietary restrictions, but between the price, texture, lack of flavor, and customer service, it just wasn't for me.

Right next door to OHSO and owned by the same folks (hence the name, Little O's). The patio was pretty full and we were quoted a 30 minute wait, so we decided to order takeout and grabbed one of the couches available. This ended up being a great option as we got to chill outside and not worry about being served. It's next to the canal and I saw a lot of bikes on the racks. My friend ordered the Snatched: toasted croissant, smashed avocado, egg whites, tomato slices, arugula, feta, pesto, side of fruit. I got the chilaquiles: corn chips, red and green enchilada sauce, fried egg, crema, cotija, pico, cilantro. Since we don't drink alcohols, we ordered from their classics menu and chose the morning brew: vanilla & macadamia nut cold brew w/ cream, served cold and the Camelback chai latte: chai tea with white chocolate, salted caramel, & vanilla topped with whipped cream & cinnamon, hot. Last thing we ordered was the Cookie Monster mini donut: chocolate frosting, blue sprinkles, cookie crisp. Our food and drinks were delivered in a bag with plastic utensils. My entree, the chilaquiles, were pretty good. Most of the chips were soft already because of the sauce but there were a few crunchy ones on the side. It was flavorful with all the ingredients and I easily finished it. My chai was good, more on the sweet side but I liked it. The donut was yummy as well. Even though we weren't being served, one of the employees came by to check on us which was cool. Overall a chill spot for brunch! I'd like to come back and try different items.
