Dan looked at ring with lupe and stated he had a better instrument in back room. Dan was gone close to ten minutes,came out and offered $5,000...We had an appraisal from a Massachusetts Jeweler years earlier for $13,000+ so we returned ring to safe deposit box. Recently when selling some jewelery, we had the ring looked at by a fifth ave. jeweler, and he stated that Bigham's was a good offer...which begs the question! what transpired 3yrs ago in that backroom at Bigham. Tried to discuss the matter with Kathy (the owner) but it appears that either she is not getting the message,or she doesn't care. Recent telephone conversation with Dan did not resolve the matter.
