However, I hired them to repair sinking sidewalk and a tipping pool deck. The pool deck was able to be repaired using piers and footings, more than the original plan for a poly lift. The front sidewalk, which had been poly lifted several years ago was left with both ends of the concrete not able to be lifted to align to adjacent sidewalk and the middle of the concrete was raised and cracked. My only solution now is to cut out and replace the concrete. Adding insult to the whole process was when the bill was presented, the contract price was only good if i paid using my bank account. A credit card incurred a 3% fee - not unheard of, BUT NOT disclosed in the original contract.

Called to request a foundation inspection, as the home is 30 years old, we have some very minor…read moretile cracks, and do see some seasonal movement in door openings (mostly one upstairs one). Some brickwork is cracked around suspended arches and cornerstone decorative pieces (e.g. above garage doors) but obviously has been for decades. I specifically called Cornerstone because I wanted a serious contractor who does actual poured footings, not that stacked cylinder mess that could actually crack your foundation worse as they use your house for the jack leverage. Dave was on time, courteous and (given that our appointment was in the middle of the Viral Apocalypse) understanding that I was working from home instead of 'off' for the day of our appointment. We spoke for a bit, he outlined everything well and asked pertinent questions about my reasons for calling, then got down to work inspecting...and recommended no work be done at this time. I offered to pay a service charge but he said that wasn't necessary. We did follow up on the phone briefly (I was busy when he was finished) and I am strongly considering coming back to them for some drainage improvements here and there as precautionary measures.
