This area, I suppose you'd call it Sandyford, has fallen hard in the last few years. It was nothing a decade ago, it briefly roared like a lion (or perhaps a tiger?), and is now slipping back into oblivion. But among the empty houses and the skeletons of skyscrapers there are a few hangers-on. Microsoft has a big office here, and during the week their workers make a little buzz around the place. Outside of work hours the whole area is dead, but those few hours of activity are enough to sustain a few businesses.
One of those lonely outposts is a healthy Dunnes Stores. Given the nature of their clientele, they have adapted to provide a large selection of prepared lunches for the poor folks who work out here. But a little deeper in the store are all the groceries one would expect. read more
