My son has had his car in this place for over 3 weeks for an electrical problem, he keeps getting the run around like the mechanic that's working on it isn't here today, or we have other cars to work on besides his, good God people your there to service cars and make the car owner happy, this place is a rip off, going to cost a fortune if my son ever gets his car back. I called to schedule an appointment on Saturday after realizing my alignment may be out of wack. Two days later I realized it had just been snow and ice built up in the wheel wells but still brought it in to be looked at. The service was fast, professional and friendly. I was given the facts from their diagnosis and made a decision on how to proceed without feeling pressured. I also appreciate that I wasn't upsold on wipers or anything unnecessary. In at 10, out by 11:15 for an alignment at a decent price & a reasonable 6 month/6k mile warranty. Unfortunately, I tried to have it looked at Saturday when I noticed it in Bradford, PA but couldn't find a shop open. The six hours Dunn is open on Saturday was enough to get my business. This isn't my go to Dunn Tire but the service and experience was familiar. I would recommend servicing your car here. read more

Called for a quote at the Olean store for an oil change for my vehicle. I gave the person the exact make and model. The quote was ~ $54 for para-synthetic oil and ~$84 for full synthetic. I made the appointment, asking for the para-synthetic. I picked up the vehicle and the bill was ~$124. They did not put in the oil I asked for and charged way more than the quote. I was then told the quote was for 5 quarts and not for my vehicle - NOT what I asked for. Never again - I'll go elsewhere. read more

Went to get a simple wheel alignment and as i drove it out the shop I couldn't make a right turn because the alignment was so bad. Then backed up with an 8 point turn to take it right back. When you turned the wheel the opposite way it hit the wheel well amd tire scaped along it lmao!!! I parked went inside to tell them and mind you i just paid $79 two minutes ago and they made me feel like i did something lol. I bought tires from here. They offer "free" tire rotation. I've gone 5,000 miles for my first tire rotation. Now when I call to get them rotated they say they are booked and can't get me in. I WOULD NOT recommend this business. I had a weird sound coming from the front end of my car and went in to have it checked out and before I left they handed me an estimate for near $1600 for struts . plates and ball joint. I was not happy and had another reputable mechanic check it to find it needed an alignment. These people are trying to get people in for non existent repairs.. PLEASE get another estimate or better yet go somewhere else. These people are RIP OFF ARTISTS! read more

Not a Tire Patching Place First off I went to this business with the hope of simply getting a punctured tire patched rather than replaced. The difference between the two being a $30.00 expense vs. a $200.00 expense (one tire). To put this scenario into more perspective though, the brief walk-around assessment done and conveyed to me in-no-uncertain-terms by the Dunn Tire associate left no other option for me [there] than to replace all four tires, at a total minimum cost of $800.00. Bear-in-mind with me though (if you will) the puncture was caused by a $0.02 screw lodged in one of my tires (not in the sidewall or within the visible cautionary vicinity there-of) and the ultimatum Dunn Tire provided was either at a cost of $800.00 or of being no help at all. The front-desk personnel at this Dunn Tire store seem to be more focused on shady salesmanship than they care to be legitimate or frugal-minded mechanics. This is the second-such experience I have had with this Dunn Tire location, leaving me compelled to leave such a review of this business (I don't devote my time to online reviews, I don't have time for it, but I was fooled once before). If you find yourself in a similar situation with these folks, leave and get a second-opinion! Go right across the street (like I did last year) and get it looked at by Monro Auto Service, who patched my tire after actually looking at the puncture. One year later, I'm still driving on it and laughing at the probability of a blow-out. read more

Scam artists. They try to charge you for stuff that your vehicle does not need and their prices are outrageous. $1000 for two new struts and sway bar links, and the vehicle did not even need the struts. These people should be put in jail. read more

I would not recommend Dunn Tire (Olean, NY). We are from Florida and visiting family in Olean for a week. Just before the trip we had the van looked over. Our FL mechanic told us all looks good, but we would need a new pitman arm, idler arm and alignment. We decided to drive the van to NY and take care of it there over our stay.... it drove fine all the way up. A NY friend suggested we go to a local mechanic who got us in right away (we were happy about that).. I will say, this mechanic did a good job with repairs....... however....... "forgot" to tell us that they did NOT do alignments (even though that was part of our request.. grrrrrrrr!)...I wasn't real happy about having to go to yet another mechanic. We were recommended now to go to Dunn Tire just down the road. Being that we were only staying in town for a week, we immediately called Dunn Tire to set an appointment for an alignment. Unfortunately Dunn couldn't get us in until he following week..This is my first mistake.. I should have looked for some place else who could do it earlier and maybe my troubles would have not happened.. but I stuck with Dunn since I'm not from the area and didn't really know where to go. So our appt day finally arrives. We have not been able to drive the van all week (the wheel was upside down and pulled off the road.. desperately needing that alignment). But we managed to get it to Dunn Tire for our appt. We told them we only needed the alignment so we could leave back to FL that day. About 30 minutes later, the Dunn mechanic tells us THEY COULD NOT DO THE ALIGNMENT UNTIL I GOT... (and I quote) an "LF upper ball joint, RF inner wheel bearing, RF outer wheel bering and RF whell bearing seal"... and it would cost an extra $293. .. Really??? Of course, we walked out in a panic because now we dont have a drivable van. We stayed another day and took our now broken van to one more auto shop in Olean. We explained our situation and asked for a second opinion on the new "problems" . THIS shop was booked solid, that day, but God Bless Them (!!) they sqeezed us in, anyway. An hour later, the alignment is done. They took a look at everything.. including the ball joint and wheel bearing.. . and you guessed it, all were fine. Dunn Tire lied to us!!!!.. why wouldn't they just do the alignment? . Maybe they are more honest to local folks, but I have clear evidence that they were trying to take advantage of us; maybe because we were out of towners trying to get back on the road. By the way... we are now we are back in Florida. The van ran great all the way home, again, thanks to one shop simply doing the right thing. read more
