She entered the room and didn't even introduce herself so I didn't even know her name for this review until I got my patient paperwork. My primary doctor referred me to Orthopedic & Spine Institute concerned that I have spinal arteritis. I told this to Greenhalgh and she just scoffed and said that I was too young to have such a problem. I'm 41 with quite a few deteriorating illnesses since childhood there is nothing "too young" but my body or condition. She didn't ask about the background of my medical condition or family history. When I told her about the neuropathy in both of my legs she looked at me shocked and said "you had diabetes??" opening my patient file would have shown her that fact, my generational diabetes is the first thing listed in my patient folder. She tried to A1C shame me when I told her my A1C is 7.6 then back tracked when I told her my A1C was 14.8 and I've been working hard to revert my A1C. She told me my problem would go away if I loss weight and exercise. -Again- because she didn't ask me anything about anything she would have known that I work out everyday already and go to Physical Therapy for my frozen shoulder and am already at my target weight goal. I'm already the smallest and most fit me of my life and the back problem came after. She never examined me physically she only looked at the x-rays and she said that it showed that my spine bones are deteriorating but apparently the solution for bone loss is to stop being fat She told me I was too young for back problems at least 4 times and that I just need to lose weight at least 3 times. Complete waste of time and money. I went to see my primary today and told them everything and they're referring me to a pain management specialist and a different orthopedic place. It's too bad because I already go to UMC Orthopedic & Spine Institute to see Dr Iman for my frozen shoulder and he's great. I was really excited to finally be seen about my back problems and just throughly disappointed in Angela Greenhalgh lack of skill and treatment. It just goes to show that one bad apple can ruin a whole tree because I never want to go back to this establishment.

We were referred here by our friend who had Dr. Ong do his knee surgery. We had our first…read moreappointment with Dr. Ong today. We were thoroughly impressed! We went to a different office previously and we wished we would've started here. From the staff to Dr. Ong himself, what a difference from the other office! I will share our experience so hopefully I save someone else some hassle. I will update this review with his knee surgery results periodically. Any negative reviews I saw about this office, were about the doctor's bedside manner. We actually LOVED his straightforward bedside manner. We aren't here to find a bestie. We need a knowledgeable doctor that knows his stuff, who will perform a detailed surgery with incredible results. Upon leaving our first visit with Dr. Ong, my husband expressed how much more confidence he has with Dr. Ong than he ever felt with the other doctor. He didn't get the car salesman feel like we did at the other office. We didn't feel like just a number ( or just a dollar sign $$$) but we actually felt this office cared. My husband has a complete ACL tear among other knee tears. His work won't let him go back to work until he gets his knee repaired - which would be great IF he was getting paid. His FMLA only saves his job for 3 months. Trying the other office first, they wasted FIVE WEEKS of his recovery time with only an MRI to show from it. Next I will compare Dr. Ong's office with Advanced Orthopedics. ONG'S OFFICE: You call- and just imagine, someone answers! OTHER OFFICE: Waiting on hold for 30 minutes before you go to voicemail OR worse yet, waiting on hold 30 minutes before they hang up on you so you have to wait ANOTHER 30 minutes. ONG'S OFFICE: He listens to what happened to cause your injury, answers your questions and then gets down to business. He does a thorough exam, explains your findings while showing your MRI imaging and uses a knee model to give a detailed explanation of what's wrong and what needs to be done. OTHER OFFICE: You see two other trainees before you see the doctor. The doctor comes in, tells a joke. Touches your knee and stays they'll start working on prior authorization. ONG'S OFFICE: "We'll have this request in by tomorrow. My name is Myra if you have any questions..." OTHER OFFICE: "It's not turned in yet. We'll get that done within the next 7-10 business days for a prior authorization request." ONG'S OFFICE: "Where would you like your FMLA paperwork sent to? I can CC you on it as well." OTHER OFFICE: "Your FMLA paperwork will be completed in 7-10 days. We don't email paperwork. You'll have to come pick it up."

Ok, wow He must be really busy today. He offered me an injection to see if it might help as I was still working. That didn't help but for a few days. Made another appt, and mind you my co-pays are $55.00 each visit. 2nd appt, he gave me a different type of injection. That too didn't help too well, but a little. I'm 67, and knowing I need a replacement, as he told me last visit that's the ONLY thing that will really help me, I made a 3rd appt to get it going for the surgery. MY MOUTH FELL TO THE FLOOR WHEN HE TOLD ME I HAVE TO WAIT 3 MONTHS AFTER INJECTIONS TO GET THE SURGERY! He never..ever told me this! I was now off work on disability. I started to tear up a little, I was shocked he didn't tell me. I told him, you never told me this!! His reply was...It's pretty standard knowledge. Well...obviously not as I didn't know! Asked him what am I supposed to do now, I'm off work. He then just shrugged his shoulders, saying..I don't know. Shrug your shoulders??? How unprofessional can you get? As I'm now twiddling my thumbs for 3 months, I found a different Dr, but after 3 months are up, I'm not getting and type of disability payments from my work for 30 days, then my long term disability kicks in. 30 days with no pay!!! I can't afford that. But I'm stuck!! Had he told me before he gave me those injections, that I would have to wait 3 months, i would not have had the injections, because my main reason for seeing him was to get the surgery over with, as I'm not getting any younger!! He doesnt take the time to educate or inform his patients about anything! Didn't say if I should stay off my knee, do I walk, do exercises, use ice, use heat...maybe physical therapy. Nothing!!! Just prescribed me medication. Horrible on giving us the time we deserve and tell us what the hell is going on!! Now I get an email from his office as he's no longer in practice. I wonder why. Dr Carr Big mistake, after reviewing my X-ray he decided it was a little fracture,no need to set. Dr Carr told his nurse or MA to fit me with a wrist brace. instructed to wear it if I remember 4-6 wks and not to use the L Hand I followed all instructions perfectly to the T I guess I am too old - er ,no need to further ex - ray the wrist is deformed ,always hurting its my dominant hand since the Right has advanced carpal tunnel Now I've lost ability so write altogether ,apply make up,eating publicly with utensils By now having to brake and reset is totally out of question d/t advanced age and CV condition. Sadly I think of Dr Carr several times/ day ,when the use of hands is required . When it comes to joint replacement Dr Carr is great, but if you have any fractures be careful and do your research

On surgery day, he even moved the incision site a little to avoid my hand tattoo! He's pretty awesome! I did have some issues because my surgery was near Christmas so my sutures should have come out in 5 days. But I was scheduled for 12 days post op to get them out. I ended up going to urgent care the day afyer Christmas and got out on 2 weeks of antibiotics because it got infected and a couple areas tore and made a hole. Even the urgent care doc said those stitches need to come out ASAP! Stitches came out Monday, even the tech was saying they were left in too long. Oh well. Besides from the scheduling mess up, the fact I'm not in constant pain is wonderful! Thank you Dr. Laroche for helping me!

Horrible cumbersome technology as well. 1) After reading about possible solutions to physical problems with your joints, it is apparent they are going to do the bare minimum in order to keep a low risk management profile. The lawyers run this place, not the doctors. 2) They want you to check in ahead of time via internet. Ok fine. But instead of a questionnaire where you check a box about cancer, diabetes, etc and hit submit at the end (like MOST doctors), you have to answer each question individually with a slow tedious dropdown with lots of clicks and processing time in between. Prepare to spend 45 mins. Again, its all about legal risk management for them. 3) They have more questions than the average doctor and frankly most of them are not relevant to your condition. Risk management. 4) They require you fill out the same tedious questionnaire and upload your insurance and driver's license EACH VISIT. I repeat EACH VISIT, even it if was just a week ago. Most doctors just want you to verify your contact information and emergency contact. Not them. 5) Additionally, they want you to show up 30 MINS BEFORE the appointment to "CHECK IN", even if you have already done with their tedious website and were there a week earlier. ***THEY WILL NOT SEE YOU OTHERWISE***. 6) So you get there and check in 30 mins early, but they make YOU wait at least 30 mins past the appointment before they call you back. So a full hour of doing nothing. And then you will wait another 15 mins before the doctor finally shows up. 7) They will NOT see you for more than one condition per visit. If you have a problem with your knee and your shoulder, they require you make separate visits with the long check in process despite the burden on the patient. TONEDEAF.

Our problem with this place is the office staff. Dr Monroe wanted an MRI before scheduling the surgery the nurse said she was going to to to get a rush on the insurance approval because my husband is currently out of work. I called the next week and the woman on the phone was very condescending to me. She wouldn't even check to see if the referall was ready and just told me that I will receive a call when it is. After not hearing from anyone for 3 weeks I finally called again. The woman I spoke to said the referall has been ready but they didn't know what imaging center we wanted to go to. She said she would look it up with insurance and get it sent over to the center we are approved for. We finally heard from the imaging center and they tells us he can just walk in. My husband waited 3 hours to be told that there was a miscommunication and they were told he needed an xray instead of a MRI and that for an MRI the soonest appointment is in 2 weeks. He finally got the MRI and I called Dr Monroe's to get my husband in for a follow up. Now the next available appointment isnt for almost a month! I asked to be put on a list in case someone cancles and asked if I could call in the mornings to check for cancelations. Again got met with condescending attitude saying if I'm on the list I'll get called. But from experience with this office I am not taking this chance. It is very clear that the office staff here doesn't have much care when it comes to their patients.
