Not quite sure how this scammy, shady dealership has a 4.5-star rating when all they do is scam people. They sold my dad a lemon (a Ford F-150) for $18,000, and he has had NOTHING but issues with this piece of junk. Not even four months of owning this garbage vehicle, and the transmission goes out. I have heard now from others that this dealership knowingly sells vehicles with mechanical problems and now my dad, a VETERAN who is also disabled and on fixed income, has to eat $18,000 and/or get a new transmission that could cost up to $7.5k. Awful business. Buyer beware. Seriously. Go anywhere but this useless place. (PS: They then had the audacity to respond to my Google review and LIE and say that they offered my dad to bring in his truck for a diagnostic test -- which they NEVER did. So not only are they scammers and shady, but they're also liars. Guess that tracks!)

We are disappointed with our recent experience with Germain Honda of College Hills and the handling…read moreof our 2017 Honda CR-V service concerns. In December 2025, our vehicle was serviced at this dealership, including replacement of all fuel injectors. Several months later, in July 2026, the vehicle developed significant performance issues and became disabled. The dealership diagnosed the vehicle with a head gasket failure. After reaching out regarding our concerns, it took approximately two weeks to receive an initial response from the dealership. Given the seriousness of the situation and the potential cost of the recommended repair, we expected more timely communication and a more thorough explanation of the diagnosis. We requested documentation supporting this diagnosis, including any available diagnostic test results, technician notes, inspection records, or other information showing how this conclusion was reached. We were advised that no additional records were available beyond the customer invoices/receipts. Our concern is not simply that a mechanical issue occurred, as we understand vehicle failures can happen. Our concern is the lack of supporting documentation and explanation provided for a major engine diagnosis, especially given that the dealership had performed significant engine-related work only months earlier. We believe customers deserve transparency and clear communication when faced with a costly repair decision. We would have appreciated a more thorough explanation of the diagnostic process and supporting information behind the recommendations being made. We hope the dealership improves its documentation practices and customer communication so future customers can feel confident that major repair decisions are supported by clear information.

I purchased a used truck from Chevrolet of Wooster, and within a day, the Check Engine light came…read moreon. After running a diagnostic scan, I found clear evidence that the dealership erased an existing error code before selling the truck. Here's the proof: Mileage at dealership: 74,277 miles (as documented in the sales contract). Mileage now: 74,767 miles (only 490 miles driven since purchase). OBD scan data: Shows the Check Engine code (U062F - Lost Communication with Coolant Pump "C") was cleared exactly 490 miles ago, meaning it was reset right before the sale. Only 7 engine starts since the code was cleared, proving the truck was barely used after the reset. The Check Engine light reappeared at 74,510 miles - only 230 miles after the sale, meaning the problem wasn't fixed, just hidden. When I contacted Chevrolet of Wooster for an explanation, they completely ignored my messages. Instead of addressing the issue, they chose to ghost their customer after knowingly selling a truck with a hidden mechanical defect. This is dishonest and unethical. If you're considering buying a vehicle here, I strongly recommend getting an independent inspection BEFORE purchase because their "inspection" clearly doesn't disclose known problems. I am attaching photos of the odometer, my sales contract, the OBD scan results, and my unanswered messages to the dealership so potential buyers can see the facts for themselves. Avoid Chevrolet of Wooster if you value transparency and honesty.

I discussed the situation with them after getting a run around I accused them of selling me a lemon they said they would do a combustion test and that to bring the car back every 1,000 miles after the third and last time of bringing it in they said they didn't see the paperwork for all 3 tests and they need to do the test 3 more times after the 4th combustion test they said it's burning less oil and I said That I never heard of a car healing itself and the 5th conbustion test they said it's not burning any oil. I argued that the car healed itself completely. They gave me a complete run around. Every time I took the my car in they treated me like a fool, unprofessional, lieing, mocking and severely uncaring. I have never experienced such dishonesty and unprofessional business in my lifetime. One day all people working there from the sellers that sold me this horrific vehicle to the maintenance men from Supervisor down will stand in front of God and give an account of their dishonest business practices for gain. My experience with Wooster Chrysler was piss poor…read more I visited Wooster Chrysler on 12/5/20. NOT a good experience. We are in the middle of a pandemic and at least one customer was without a mask. Salesman Richie Fontes, who happened to be the guy I was dealing with in emails prior to my visit, also was not wearing a mask. The guy in service who showed me where the bathroom was and an employee who actually came into the bathroom were both maskless. The dealership itself is small and cramped. Mask-wearing should be strictly enforced for everyone. When you see behavior like this, you know why we are experiencing a huge spike in Covid. And to be honest, I just didn't get a good vibe there anyway. My experience dealing with salesman Richie Fontes was terrible. The guy started out ok during the initial phone call but then got upset and flustered when I asked for clarification on the rebates. A few days later he sends me an ALL CAPS email whining about my decision to wait on a deal they put together and actually remonstrating me for not finalizing by a specific date. I think Richie forgot that he is just a car salesman and it's not his place to question customers' decisions. Internet manager Dave Heath sent me an email with the numbers but when I sent him a follow-up email, he never bothered to respond. I happened to be in Wooster doing other things when I decided to visit the dealership to take a test ride in the Jeep I was interested in. Richie Fontes was there. I told him who I was and he couldn't have given a shit less about me. Didn't offer to sit down with me to see what he could do to finalize a deal. Just mumbled some bullshit to another employee about the numbers already being on paper somewhere and the deal is the deal and then walked right past me like I was garbage. Very unprofessional and very low class. Based on my experience, I really can't recommend Wooster Chrysler or Richie Fontes. Fair is fair, so i'll give the owner of the dealership credit for agreeing to give me what I wanted for my trade. But what's the point when every other aspect of my experience dealing with them was negative. You're not gonna sell a 40k Jeep by sending rude emails and treating a customer like dirt. Do yourself a favor and go to Fred Martin in Barberton. I've always had great experiences there, and Lisa Allison is the greatest salesperson in the universe. She will go out of her way for you and treat you like gold.
