After 4 years of engaging with great staff and customers at the place, an unfamiliar female staff member, presumably management, approached me with the following abrupt, unprecedented demand: "You've been here three or four hours. Don't do that." I had arrived at 11 am, and it was just before 1 pm when she approached me during my Zoom call. Two hours. Quite the rude surprise. The rest of the staff have been so kind and, for four years, have never complained about my patronage, even when I stay for a couple of hours chatting with locals or working on my computer. Let me offer the following admonition: If you're going to play Christian music, act like a Christian. If you're going to run a business, exhibit a modicum of consumer relations acumen. Don't spring arbitrary time limits out of the blue. Post a notice if you'd like, but rudely approaching customers you've never spoken to previously with unprecedented demands is not the way to elevate your reputation But perhaps this is just one mendacious bad apple, oblivious to the importance of civil discourse. Long line but we moved fairly quickly. The lady taking orders was super bubbly and friendly! When I got up to the window the lady greeted me by name. They are still practicing COVID safety, and handed me my drink in a plastic holder. Service, 5 stars! The lemonade was delicious, but like with many places you pay a good amount for a heavily iced down drink. Next time I think I'll order light or no ice. Lemonade tasted fresh and my additions just added to it! Very good. Almost $5, a bit steep but as a treat, it was worth it. I'll be back and trying new drinks!
