I love Three Girls Vegan!…read more They've definitely gotten better service wise now that we're out of that 6-feet apart phase in our lives. Though, I vowed never to come back after a few poor visits a long time ago, I'm glad I didn't keep that promise. Now that the cafe is open to the public again, things are running smoothly and it's nice to be able to interact with the staff. The food here is AMAZING. I'm not personally vegan but the menu items can easily turn anyone into a vegan. I'm currently learning how to recreate some of these recipes. I live in NC so when we drive to CT, Three Girls Vegan is a must-visit. Some of my favorite options are: the "clam" strips, chik'n bowl with mashed potatoes (it recreates the KFC bowl really well), Caesar salad, eggplant pesto rolls, and the chocolate donuts. I love going in after picking up my to-go order waiting outside because their bakery section isn't on the online menu, so I might add a few extra desserts while I'm there. The inside is cute, minimally decorated, but welcoming. There are a few tables inside but seating is mostly outside. I always look forward to my next roadtrip to CT because Three Girls Vegan will always be on that list of places I need to visit before going home. Yes, there is a location in SC but I have yet to go.

A cake was included in my wedding package at SPI. With my hardcore addiction to chocolate, my wedding coordinator at SPI recommended that I try the Chocolate Devastation cake at Pastry Fusions. So my two MOHs and I took a drive down to North Branford on a Saturday afternoon to meet with Frank, the owner, for the tasting. He was such a nice guy who poured his heart into his business and let us sample as many different flavors as we wanted. Each sample had its own artful presentation. After many chocolate flavored cakes, we decided on the cappuccino mousse cake; three tiers of chocolate cake, layered with cappuccino mousse and cinnamon whipped cream, then frosted with chocolate butter cream. It was DIVINE! For the top layer, which I will have on November 8, 2015, it was the chocolate devastation flavor. As an added bonus, Frank provided the white roses on top of my cake. This act of kindness gave me one less thing to coordinate with my florist. Before we left, we just had to get those heavenly Maple Bacon Donuts! There was a line for the donuts! All I can say is yum yum yum!

Check out their website and social pages for the most up to date location. The owners Ryan and Matt are incredibly friendly and their enthusiastic smiled for coffee is contagious. The menu has coffee, tea, hot chocolate, espresso drinks, signature drinks, and monthly specials. While we were there, they were offering Beach Donuts (Clinton/Branford). The coffee is from their own roasted blends that they also sold bags of. Summit Sip, Honeyed Highlands, and Trail Mix to name a few. I order a monthly special called Stormy Mornin', a cold brew with earl grey lavender simple syrup and rose cold foam. I'm a huge tea and coffee drinker, this was the best of both worlds. Lavender is my favorite flavors for coffee. The coffee had a dark flavor and the lavender, rose lighten it up. It was also very smooth. My mom tried the Camper Coffee signature latte, Brown Bear. It had brown sugar simple syrup, espresso and oat milk. She loved it and said it tasted like molasses. I love that their simple syrups are house made and all the drinks kept the outdoor, earthy theme. The camper is adorable! I wish I got a photo, but there were a lot of customers around. It's very unique and projects a happy vibe. I can't wait to track them down again.
