So I moved close by recently and fell in love with Golly G. If you're looking for an ice cream shop…read morethat delivers bold flavors without overwhelming sweetness, this is the place to be. Their ice cream is a refreshing departure from the overly sugary options found elsewhere, allowing the natural flavors to shine through beautifully. Every scoop is packed with rich, authentic taste, whether it's a deep, loaded, or cookie dough or a superhero that tastes like real fruit rather than artificial. The texture is smooth and velvety, making each bite incredibly satisfying without being heavy. While the ice cream alone is worth the trip, the cinnamon rolls are an absolute must-have. Freshly baked, perfectly soft, and with just the right amount of cinnamon spice, they pair beautifully with a scoop of ice cream. The balance of warm, buttery pastry with cool, flavorful ice cream is nothing short of heavenly. Tip each month they have a new cinnamon flavor! This shop proves that ice cream doesn't have to be overly sweet to be delicious. Whether you're a fan of classic flavors or adventurous combinations, you'll find something to love here. And whatever you do, don't leave without trying the cinnamon rolls! Shoutout to the staff they are always so nice and amazing! They don't judge me for coming there's one a week

I drove all the way to Goodlettsville for coffee. I know. It was a Saturday in mid-Summer and I had…read moretime. I'd been to all the local, non-chain coffee spots in Nashville* and I wanted something new (to me). So, I took a look at my bookmarks, got in my car and drove north. Not being familiar with the area, I was a bit concerned to get off the interstate and drive on the winding country roads but when I got sight of the wooden store I knew that I was in for a treat. This isn't an artisan pretentious cup o'joe. This is fun, kitschy and given to those with a bit of a sweet tooth. If that's you, read on. I walked in and was greeted by a very nice young lady behind the counter. The blackboard menu is rather extensive so take your time to take it all in. Seeing that I was a bit overwhelmed, she offered some help and I took it. Before too long, I'd settled on a frozen (not iced) coffee with English toffee syrup and a lemon poppyseed muffin. I'd ordered it to go but as I turned to leave I noticed the covered back porch with its open air and multitude of technicolored chairs. Looks like I was staying for a bit. The frozen coffee was a perfect treat for a hot day. Blended to have just the right icy texture, the coffee and toffee notes equally acquitted themselves in my mouth and I grew more and more satisfied with every sip. My muffin was fine. It was perfectly okay (not a criticism) and paired well with my beverage (the star of the show). After finishing my muffin, I took a couple of more sips of my drink and started my drive back to Nashville. I left thinking that the location and (real?) farmhouse aesthetic made ACC a place I needed to experience in the cooler fall/winter months -- even if it was no longer new (to me). On your next drive north of town you should really drop in. It's worth it. *At the time.
