While the food and drinks were good, waiting 15 minutes in the drive thru each time (4 times in the course of 3 days) is insane.

I genuinely count down to Thursdays because that maple donut is THAT good. Newberry, please consider making it a permanent menu item because waiting all week is painful Fresh donuts, amazing flavors, and now I'm constantly craving Thursdays. Tik Tok made me do it and I'm glad I did it!…read more My co-worker recently had been seeing some videos about the food at Newberry Cafe so of course we had to make a lunch time stop to see what everyone was talking about. Newberry reminds me of your hometown bakery where everyone gathers in the morning for their donuts and coffee before heading off to work. Very much like many of the shops in the Bel Air area. The employees are super nice at Newberry. Really taking their time to provide great customer service to each patron that strolls through the doors. Although it was lunch time we settled on breakfast sandwiches with homefries. And I of course had to grab a donut because it's a must, and a latte. The breakfast sandwich was just what you would want to start your day, a savory piece of meat and cheese on a soft bagel. But the star of the show was the homefries. Cooked and seasoned perfectly, crispy on the outside and a soft texture on the inside. We both loved the potatoes. My glazed donut was divine, pillowy with just the right amount of glaze to not make the donut too sweet. The latte was a little to sweet for me, but I'm a little finicky with the sugar level in many caffeinated drinks. All the times I've ventured into Bel Air I never thought to stop at Newberry and I'm glad I finally did. I'll definitely be back to try more of their yummy donuts and breakfast sandwiches in the future.

I'm a sucker for a unique donut shop and this was such a good stop. (We were visiting Philadelphia…read moreand had our son with us who had not been to Delaware yet and wanted to get him into the state). The restaurant was not what I was expecting. I thought it was a little donut shop, but it was actually a full restaurant/bar. The restaurant didn't really seem to be open yet, but the donuts at back were fresh and coming out for the morning. There were so many options it was very hard to choose what to get. These donuts were special, in that they are brioche and very large and fluffy. We got an apple pie and strawberry cheesecake donut. We definitely didn't need two, but "when in Delaware" I guess? Haha! The woman at the counter was really helpful in our difficult decision and was very friendly and patient with us while we drooled over the donut menu haha!

The menu looked promising, but we'll never know. Unfortunately, we arrived at our 3pm reservation…read more The hostess was rude and didn't greet us. We immediately felt like we were an inconvenience. After we were seated, the waitress brought out our drinks. 1 1/2 hours later, she comes back with the promise our food would be out soon, then, one minute, then oh yeah they are plating the food. Then we spotted our waitress and a few other servers vaping as the kitchen door opened. The manager was checked out as we were speaking with him. Needless to say the service was awful, so we left. As I said promising, but their staff and customer service is a complete turn off. Eat well folks! Ps. My daughter did a Yelp review right after we left but somehow it's been removed...

I tried the glazed donut and the Biscoff donut. The glazed donut was unbelievably soft and fresh-everything you want in a classic donut. It practically melted in my mouth. It somehow managed to be light and airy while still having that perfect chewy bite. If you think a plain glazed donut can't be memorable, this one will change your mind!!!! I will never forget this first bite. The Biscoff cookie donut was just as incredible. It was generously filled with a fluffy, marshmallow-like cream that wasn't overly sweet, so the rich Biscoff flavor really shined. Every bite tasted fresh and indulgent without being heavy. It's also a seasonal flavor so it may not be there every time you go! My friend ordered the lemon donut. It was a little too tart for my personal taste, but she absolutely loved it and finished every bite. They also have an incredible variety of flavors, so there's truly something for everyone. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and they also sell coffee and other drinks, making it an easy stop for breakfast or a sweet treat. The space was pretty big. It was nothing fancy. Just a basic shop but the donuts are good that you won't be focused on anything else. If you're anywhere near Lancaster, do yourself a favor and go. NOW. I'll definitely be back and I'll be thinking about these donuts until then! I also asked and they didn't have any gluten free options.
