We were instructed to go upstairs where we would meet our daughter's bridal consultant. Jen introduced herself and let me tell you there is nothing unforgettable about her. From her welcoming presence, to her huge smile, and especially the way she made our daughter feel very special. Jen led us to our seats which were so comfortable. It felt like we were going to experience this bridal dress shopping in the comfort of our own home. In front of us was this large room full of mirrors, a pedestal, and curtains held open by metal tiebacks. Jen took her daughter and started looking at dresses. Jen asked our daughter so many questions. She wanted to know our daughter personally, so she could select the correct gowns. Jen assisted our daughter getting her gown on and she'd open up those curtains and it was like this grand experience. The last gown our daughter tried on was the most beautiful and perfectly designed for her. It's like consultant Jen knew that this was the finale gown. We explained to Jen that we had another bridal appointment at one of the chain bridal store. Jen took our daughter's measurements for the finale gown our daughter loved. Our daughter did not receive her bridal moment at the chain store and the dresses she tried on did not compare to her finale gown at your shop. Our daughter called your shop back and asked if she could come back and try on that finale gown one more time. Jen was right there to welcome us. Jen had our daughter in the gown with the veil and she grandly opened up those curtains and there wasn't a dry eye in the place. Our daughter said, "I say yes to the dress". Great service on a busy weekend day, and prompt email response even afterhours…read more I was pleasantly surprised when I came here for a holiday event. I had struck out at just about every high-end department store you can think of, and couldn't even find a decent to try on anywhere I had gone. Gipper Prom has a large selection, with most inventory displayed on mannequins instead of just on hangers. There's no lugging around 10lb dresses, you just write the style number and color up on a slip they give you when you first walk in, and when you're done, they bring it to your dressing room. And it IS a room, with a locking door, so no worrying about that big dress leaving you exposed as you turn around. They had several associates at the dressing room, ready to help zip, clasp or adjust when needed, and they make sure the walkway is clear for you to move about. Since most people do not go dress shopping alone, they thoughtfully have ample seating and complimentary water for the poor soul you may have dragged along with you. Seating is arranged several feet behind a wall lined with mirrors, each section accompanied by a platform and appropriate lighting. The platform is likely useful for any tailoring needed, but I just used it to make my significant other nervously rate me in each of the 10 or so dresses I tried on. The staff didn't pressure you to buy, nor did anyone look at my long list of dresses like I was wasting their time or making their life terrible for no reason. The people working were friendly, and the other customers and their guests were also all cheery. Dress shopping can be a nightmare - hot, cramped, nothing fitting the way you hope, sizing not available, etc. But not the case here - and the other women shopping seemed to feel the same as me. Customers were openly complimenting each other, and the entire atmosphere was very warm. I can't rate their ability to modify or make minor fixes to beading, etc. The dress I purchased was perfect without anything needed. Overall, I was more than impressed. If you're an adult, well - clearly we aren't going to the prom, but this is a great store for many other events including pageants, galas, black tie or formal parties, or any time you can get away with being a little "extra," or are in need of a good selection of floor-length, high-quality formalwear. They were amazing for both my stylish son, and my hard to fit body! They had a great selection of styles, they carry their own inventory in-stock, and the prices were very fair. It is a business where attention to detail is everything and they were so attentive- checking the sleeve length, making sure the pant length is correct, triple checking that all the accessories are there and operable. I cannot recommend them enough and am super happy that I have a great place to go to get my next tuxedo!

The standard of work between the Aurora and Orland stores is pathetic. The groomsmen who got their suits just knew a tie was present, they had no idea it was the wrong colored tie. We didn't figure out they were wrong until the groomsmen were getting ready and my husband asked one of the guys if he brought his own tie... They clearly didn't care enough to check the suits thoroughly which they are literally paid to do.... Prior to the wrong colored ties we were already upset we had to make a second trip the day before our wedding to pick up our suit orders that needed to be fixed due to pants with holes in the pocket, stains on multiple white shirts (including the grooms) and one order sent without the vest... So multiple people in the party had make extra trips to the stores the two days before our wedding because nothing was right the first time. All they offered in return for their HUGE mistake was half the money back for the two suits they mismatched the ties.... And the lady saying "she wanted to cry for me". At this point we should have all our money back for the lack of attention and effort put into their business when this is such an important day for their paying customers. Moral of the story this business did not make our wedding day any less stressful than it already was and if anything gave us more problems and stress. Also, looking at this picture literally breaks my heart considering all of the time, effort and money that was put in this day ruined by their carelessness. Update: now they are using our photo I provided in this review as their main picture. Such a disrespect to a customer they completely let down. This is the type of business they are running. But see for yourself how they couldn't even get our order correct for our special day!
