Especially if they couldn't even make sure my dress arrived on time. I messaged Miss Carole on messenger and explained my situation. She was able to get me in almost right away and she had my dress finished and ready to go within 4 days. I was very impressed. The price was very fair. I wish I had the extra money to give her a nice tip. But maybe when I do have the extra cash, I'll send it to her in a thank you card. She was very pleasant, her little shop was great. I love that she has her business at her home. When I went into try to finished product on, she came in and asked what I thought and she saw the smile on my face and I told her it was perfect and I knew it was going to be perfect because her reviews are wonderful. She was very pleased to know I was extremely happy with her work. If I could give her more than five stars, I absolutely would. I left my dress with her last Thursday (July 25th) and I picked it up on Monday the 29th (yesterday). For those of you who aren't sure whether you should go with her or not, please do. you will not be disappointed. She's had many many years of experience. I think she said about 60 years. They folded the cloth in and sewed it together. I thought they would be taking cloth out, but I have never had alterations done, so this was an assumption on my end. I tried on quite a few that I liked but nothing completely wowed me. Until Shannon took it upon herself to pull one for me to try on. It was strapless (which made me uneasy) but she added straps to give it that off the shoulder look I wanted. It was PERFECT. I am not someone who cries but this dress had myself and my group in tears. We purchased it THAT DAY. Fast forward to June of 2024 - I have lost about 80 pounds and get the call that my dress was in. Panic set in but Shannon assured me that it would all be fine. I went to try it on and of course it was about 5 sizes too big. I brought it to my seamstress July 6th for alterations and was told that it may not be doable and it if was it would cost me around $900. (My wedding is October 26th by the way) I gave the store a call simply to find out what the name of their sister store was as I was most likely going to have to get a new dress. Luckily it was Shannon who I spoke with and she was just as upset about the situation as I was. She told me she would call me right back. And she did. With the name and number of a wonderful seamstress who was experienced in this type of work. She also said she could POSSIBLY work something out with the sister store for a trade in for my dress. (That's not something they typically ever do but she would ask!) hey, the worst the owner could say was "no" at this point. So with no "good" option I made an appointment at The One as well as with the experienced seamstress. (Take a look at my review on The One by SBB's page to see how that went.) When I say I was completely BLOWN away by the kindness and generosity I felt by this store and its employees/owners, I mean it. They could have easily said "too bad so sad" about the entire situation but they are REAL people who actually care about their clients. In a world that is so harsh and cruel these days, it's hard to find that. I will recommend SBB to ANYONE that will listen!
