They had a few attractive electric fires on their web site, so we checked the opening hours shown on the site and set off on the 40 minute drive to Shoreham this morning. Upon arrival around 11.00 a.m. we were met with shutters across the door and a hand-written note explaining the shop would be closed from 10-17 October. Having driven around for 15 minutes looking for a parking space, only finding one half a mile from the shop, then walking back to the High Street in the pouring rain, we were kicking ourselves for failing to spot the closure notice online ... except there isn't one. Is it really that difficult to put a message on the site's home page? Even when you phone them, you are just instructed to leave a message and wait for someone to call you back - no mention of the business being closed for a week. Our engineer says he recommends this company to all his customers. I don't think he'll be doing so any more.

Never use this place. The guy got all the dimensions wrong on my new fireplace, wouldn't refund…read moreproperly. Can't say anything good so won't say any more but like the previous reviewer I shall also take action. My advice go elsewhere.

My friend commissioned a fantastic coffee table from Paul Cox and he was so pleased with the finished product. Paul initially came to his house to measure up and find out exactly what my friend required and kkept him up-dated all the way through the construction of the piece. A long way from Ikea!

I would highly advise you to head to this shop before going to somewhere like Homebase as they have a much better selection here and the equipment is of a much higher standard. They cater for professionals as well as domestic gardeners too. We bought an excellent hedge trimmer for £80 and the staff were really helpful with advice and tips. They also had loads of hand tools and a really good selection of chainsaws which I'm saving up for next!

Found a fridge Via a really helpful young man (staff great) in Mish Mash.... being checked and cleaned and collecting tomorrow Saturday with a 3 month warranty...... full of lots of things not just fridges.... furniture etc.... Lift not working again, leaving less abled customers to cope with the stairs. Admin staff attitude to getting you change from a broken till needs very much to be worked on. Others might feel that this store is wonderful. Whist I agree tat the stock is really good...I'm not inclined to return as my last two visits have been terrible. Pleae Do visit if you have a spare 30 minutes to get served and get out......!!
