Spiders could be cleaned out every time paying customers leave. I would pay the same price for a local hotel & have a much cleaner room, be able to heat or cool my room by controls & a breakfast for free! Local restaurants close early so eat when you get the chance because finding even a convenience store nearby just isn't going to happen. Just put a little effort into maybe some local information, how to warm the room, how the door locks work, etc. Make sure your cleaning staff actually do cleaning! Finding someone's toothbrush on the floor of the bathroom just isn't cool folks! The bathroom was just plain nasty, with the showerhead spraying every which way, a never scrubbed shower floor & mold all over is the worst. The curtains over the window that holds the air conditioner, was so thin, people in the park behind the building, could see right through them. You people in your suburban city setting around the other side of the lake should be ashamed you put so little effort into what could be a really cut memorable place to stay. I have seen (you people from over there) do this before. You think everyone else should be responsible for your investment & you won't make any changes by seeing firsthand just how bad they are. Some people call them "Slum Lords". I let you know of these issues & no response. Good going!

So, it's right by all the shopping and restaurants. It's even walking distance to the grocery store if you need to pick up a few things. It's located in a small neighborhood, at the end of a quiet street. -The interior design is absolutely amazing! It's such a cute gem of a place. It's so farmhouse chic... with fluffy blankets, adorable pillows, candles, wreaths... and just everything to make it perfect! The second you walk in, you 100% feel like you're home! The interior design of this house was my favorite aspect of staying here! -Some awesome things... there's an indoor fireplace, essential oil spray for the bedding, a fully stocked kitchen, an upstairs little hidden attic... and then bikes and a pool to use in the summer! The lots are large with tree coverage but still open area to pick up Starlink. Tammy (#1) is very nice and provided us with very useful information. The next day when power was on went to the office and met the sweetest person in the world, Tammy (#2). She is such a joy and amazingly helpful. We are staying for a few months before winter hits and she gave us all the details about the place and woodland park next door. We got keys for our own mailbox and a trash can for trash pick up weekly. This place is definitely a hidden gem for anyone staying monthly. We come back through this area every year, so this will be our first choice.

I just couldn't get enough of it. It was breathtaking from the outside with old world charm. Inside was elegantly decorated. It had exposed brick and rafters (at the very top) which made it warm and inviting. The seating is so comfortable with everything from cozy couches to comfy bar seats. I took pictures after dark too as the outside is lit so nicely and really shows off the architecture. A great experience and an awesome addition to Valpo. I can't wait to go back!
