I wanted to find good quality leather shoes what I can wear all day long. I saw Dune at Piccadilly, and it looked like a good quality footwear store. I chose not too high very beautiful professional looking shoes. I paid £80 for it. I don't mind to pay higher price for better quality, however after wearing it for about an hour I was very disappointed. It was not comfortable at all, did not support my feet well, made my toe bleed and my knee hurt in only an hour. Next morning I took it back to the Dune shop, where the cashier lady and the manager were not happy about me trying to return the shoes. They told me that the bottom of the shoe is marked so they can't take it back as they can't resell it. I don't even understand that argument as if you take back shoes that is impossible to wear why would they want to resell it? Have I bought a shoe what someone wore and returned for its bad quality already? Anyway I understand that the manager was just doing her job so in mind that I will contact their head office I started to walk out of the store. When I was at the door I remembered that I may need to have some kind of evidence that I tried to return the shoes so I walked back to the cashier. At the cashier the manager and the other lady could not see me returning and they were criticizing me and said that I have been lying about where I wore the shoes. (They asked me if I wore them on the street and I said that I did not, I only wore them indoors.) They didn't see me there so they kept on guessing where I went in the shoes and what else I have lied about so I addressed them and I asked them for a complaints book, I wanted to complain about their behaviour and the way they treated me. They said that they have nothing like that, so I was not able to complain. I called their head office, where they confirmed that they won't return shoes if they can't resell it and they apologised for their staff's behaviour. They gave me an option to send the shoes to their head office to get a secound opinion if they can resell it or not, but if the shoe sole has marks on it they won't be able to give a refund or a change. So I throw out £80 and received shoes what I can't wear and very bad customer experience. It was my first time shopping at Dune London and I won't ever go back there again. In my opinion they sell bad quality with bad customer service, and they don't care if their customers are satisfied or not. read more
