The bar area is very nice. You get a hot dog at the turn when you show your greens fee. Nicole is a great item and person handling that area. She is very personable and fun to talk too.

Leaks take over this place Monday through Thursday and they are abusionally slow and the management refuses to do Anything about it. I get it leagues make courses money, but they open up tee times after leagues and we pay too. And I'm talking they won't even do basic little things like have someone go out there and enforce ready golf. That alone would make a huge difference. I managed to get in six holes in two hours and 15 minutes today. If you choose to go on a weekday or during the weekend, this is a Great Course the greens are fast and firm and the course is always kept in great shape, although they are doing some pretty significant maintenance work around some of the holes it's still extremely playable. When there aren't leagues around this is probably a four maybe even five star public course. If you make the mistake I did going out and wanting to get in some golf on league nights (M-Th) it's a one star course, just go somewhere else.

Highland was a great track when it opened in 1925 but it has been enhanced as a golf facility since the LPGA came in 1989. What pro golf left was a first rate course and practice facilities. After the complete bunker and hole redesign 4 years ago the Ross/Hills inspired routing is playable and modern. This is the best kept secret in the midwest and I hope I'm letting the cat out of the bag. First Rate!

I've been golfing at Deme for years. I am a seasonal member. They greatly improved the course…read moreover the last few years. The greens are some of the nicest in the area. The drainage issues of the past are all but gone. This being said, this year will be the last year that they will seeing any of my money. The facility opens late (hour after sunrise) carts in by 830 (in June and July, that's an hour before sunset). They will gladly take your money at 630- 700, but give you the evil eye, or even yell at you when you come in 15 minutes late. There have been many other incidents I've witnessed and have happened to me that just shows that the family running this course have a lot to learn about customer service and appreciation.

For the money this is a great course. The food is good but they need to have more red Gatorade. Lol.read more

The course is very well maintained, from the tee box all the way to greens. Greens were beautiful and pretty clear of debris. Course flowed well. Beautiful clubhouse with plenty of drink options and great food. Has a wrap around patio overlooking 18 and the driving range. Can't beat the view! Also visited the driving range that provides a great evening view and look around the course. Highly recommend for any occasion of golf!

It was so bad I felt we were being harassed. There was a coney bar along the way and we stopped for about 3 minutes to get a couple hot dogs and a beer and he went out of his way to tell is we needed to tee off immediately. He wasn't friendly in any way and as the owner of a sevice business I would never allow my employees to treat customers the way we were treated. It took away from the great cause we were supporting and the fun we should have been having. He was a miserable person and shouldn't be allowed to interact with customers.

The fairways are very nice, and the greens roll the ball very well. The down side was the greens were very hard and because they were small, we had trouble on approach shots. The course has to many sand traps, and the sand was hard as a rock so you couldn't get out of them as you do with proper sand. I didn't like that nearly every hole had numerous sand traps on them, so if you didn't hit a perfect shot you were in a trap. The course needs a Ranger. Play was very slow, particularly the last 3 holes where a party of 7 drunk players were playing/partying together. That's right, a sevensome! So, I rate the Stone Ridge Golf Course a 3. The price to play gets a 5, the fairways get a 5, the greens get a 3, the traps get a 0, the lack of a Ranger nets a 0, and the experience gets a 0 because of the drunken sevensome. Will I play Stone Ridge again? No, there are to many nicer places to play.
