The waitress we had was very kind and welcoming and bubbly with conversation. My family were all very pleased with their food, which consisted of bbq wings, lemon pepper boneless wings, a Reuben sandwich and fries and chicken fingers and fries. The only negative I have to say is I ordered a Greek salad without feta and the amount of dressing and oil was beyond an acceptable amount that I wasn't able to eat it all or even half. By the time I ate through the top layer of lettuce the entire bowl was wilted and drowning in oil. So my advice would be stay away from the salad and just enjoy the heartier options.

This becomes an issue when close to ten minutes and multiple staff pass by with no acknowledgment. I went to stop someone walking by in order to get a table. To be fair, they were busy, but I'm not sure that warrants crickets at front of house. We were sat at a wet table that smelled of wet rag and at this point, seriously considered leaving. Being hungry and seeing how busy it was, we decided to stay. Our server was seasoned and friendly. Our drinks took a while and as we reviewed the ever confusing menu, we decided to order some alcoholic drinks. Drinks arrived and we had to step out front quickly. I found our server and let her know we had to step out, but would be right back. She said no problem. When we came back about three minutes had passed and our table was cleared. She brought us our drinks again and took our order. We ordered the crazy bread and the pepperoni pockets as an appetizer. The only thing crazy about the bread was the cost. It otherwise compared to dominos. The pepperoni pockets were very good! I ordered a spinach gourmet calzone and my partner got the sun-dried tomato pizza. The calzone was as described on the menu. That said, I longed for the calzones of NYC with heaps of ricotta, mozzarella and spinach sautéed in olive oil, onion and fresh garlic. What I got was essentially a cheese bread with a hat on. Chunks of unseasoned tomatoes, fresh unseasoned spinach and mozzarella cheese-that's it. No seasoning of any kind, outside of the charred taste that all the items had from the oven itself. The sauce had a sweetness to it and this also was just...a far cry from what I'm used to. He said his pizza was cooked well, but lacked flavor. They're in business a long time, so something is going right. However, for me, it missed the mark on all levels. At the end of the day, you go out to eat for the food, the food here was less than Sysco quality. We won't return.

He cooks his slices all his own beef rather than using a bagged product like many of the local places that serve Chicago style. You can taste the difference. The fries are all fresh cut on site, (sadly I can no longer eat root vegetables), but they look promising. He uses real Vienna beef dogs and Polish and has real pizza puffs and sausage or pepperoni. Basically it all sounds good. Being only 2 mi from home for me this is a great addition to the area. I hope he stays. From my first time I ordered an Italian beef dipped with hot giardinara and a Polish sausage Chicago style. It took what felt like less than 5 minutes for my order to be up. We talked a bit and I promise to give an honest review. The beef sandwich when first unwrapped did not appear dipped but it was deceiving. The roles he uses are softer and denser than most Chicago places use, to be fair we are in Florida. There was a lot of giardinara and it did not disappoint. I mean this stuff really brought the heat which was a bit unexpected compared to other local places. The sandwich was well prepared and had a ton of flavor. I will try it again. The Polish while good was nothing for me to write home about. On the plus side it was on a poppy seed bun and tasted good. And the minus side it was one of the smaller Polish and I prefer the bigger ones. Also there was no tomato available, which was no loss for me anymore as I can't have them, and I don't believe there was any celery salt. Next time I will ask just to verify. While not a five-star review, as I judge my actual Chicago quality, it was worth stopping and would be a good place to get a tasty meal for the entire family. Do yourself a favor if you are in the area and give them a try.

The second we walked in, the smell hit me like, "Cancel your goals. You live here now." Smoky, delicious, slightly illegal levels of good. We were greeted and seated by a super nice guy who said, "Patrick will be right with you." Two minutes later... Patrick shows up. Five minutes later... Patrick brings drinks. Ten minutes later... Patrick brings food. At some point I leaned over to Ross and whispered, "Where is the original guy?? Did Patrick eat him??" Nope. SAME MAN. Sir is host, server, possibly chef, and I'm 90% sure he rotated the earth slightly to speed up our service. Patrick sold me on the Prime Rib sandwich like a seasoned car salesman and I folded immediately. Ross got the loaded smokehouse sandwich because he likes to pretend he makes responsible decisions. The food came out fast and looking disrespectfully good. I blacked out somewhere between bite one and "I should stop." I did not stop. I have no regrets. My diet has filed a missing persons report. And let's circle back to Patrick--this man has the energy of three employees, a double espresso, and unresolved childhood dreams. I want whatever he's having. I would follow him into battle... or at least back for dessert. As The Terminator once said, "I'll be back." Mostly because I found out Patrick works Wednesday-Saturday... and apparently those are now my "nutritional delusion" days. Would 100% trust my GPS to ruin my plans again.

There is a sign that the lobby closes at 9pm. I went to the counter to review the menu. I noticed some of the "specials" aren't really specials. Example, large gourmet pizza and 12 wings special is $36.24 but separately, a large gourmet pizza is $18.97 and 12 wings is $13.19 which equals $32.16. Even an XL gourmet pizza ($21.56) plus wings is $34.75, which is cheaper than the "special". I went through a few of the "specials" and the same applies. The "gourmet" pizzas are even cheaper when you simple add on the toppings. I placed my order around 8:15pm. I got a large pizza (pepperoni and sauce), garlic knots, 12 wings (garlic parm) and 3 drinks ($1.60) a piece. They don't have fountain drinks. The total was $40.67. I told them I wanted it for here and was told they would bring it out to us. There is one tv in the dining area that played Nickelodeon. They have a paper towel dispenser on the wall near the kitchen entrance. That area looks like a bar area. That is also where the condiments are located. The Garlic knots came at 8:32pm, the Pizza came at 8:34pm, and the wings came at 8:37pm. All of the food was hot, in temperature. The pizza was great, no complaints! The wings were lackluster in taste. The Parmesan cheese overpowered the garlic versus them being complimentary. Additionally, it seemed like the Parmesan was just added on top versus the wings being tossed in them both. It didn't fit up to my liking for garlic parm wings. The garlic knots were huge and tasty. However, it seemed that the butter and garnish was only on one side versus all sides. Overall, it was a decent experience. The two staff present were friendly. I recommend ordering food from the menu versus using the "specials" if you really want a deal.
