We had a large job with the new purchase of our home-- the yard and landscape had not had any attention in at least a decade and it was our plan to replace all of it! We knew that we would not be able to take on the entire job all at once....and would need to do it in stages. Few companies were interested in working with us at that level, Enter Burt and Landscape Innovations!! He promptly met with us and discussed our goals. He took extensive notes and pictures and promised us a comprehensive plan along with a written estimate for work. We received a detailed email shortly thereafter and we contracted for the work. Burt and his team arrived promptly (as weather permitted) and he worked diligently to complete the work as we agreed on & in the stages we required for budgeting. His work was completed on time and was always above and beyond both in scope and quality. We could not be more pleased with Landscape Innovations. Our only disappointment is in not having MORE work done.....but we know when we do we can count on Burt. We highly recommend him and his company!

He doesn't mince words when it comes to your landscaping always striving for perfection. I've been a client for 4 years. Burt landscaped our entire front yard, correcting water drainage issues, improving our irrigation problems and laying zoysia sod. He also gave my family advice and helped us get started on our retainer wall that he did not benefit from financially.

The goals were to be to be cost-effective, satisfy CO requirements, and create a foundation I could build upon. Also, I didn't want generic, bland landscaping. I wanted something that was native and useful - things that Community Foodscapes also value. The result was an herb garden, beauty berry bushes that provide berries for animals and can act as a "bug spray," and quick grow rye to prevent erosion until I can come up with other plans. They also did some hardcore work that helped with water management. I'm very pleased with the work and highly recommend.

Edit to address concerns raised by the proprietor:…read more Communication and thousands of wasted dollars are my issue with the company. I stayed in frequent contact after the grading was done, especially because I was distressed watching the work literally wash away in the summer rains. Had photos or a site visit been requested in any of those communications, I would have complied promptly. When photos were requested, I supplied them nearly immediately. And as for the scope of work, I legitimately had no idea what the initial quote included. I stressed to the company I had zero experience with a yard of my own, so I asked for guidance about what I should do on my property. There was apparently a massive communication gap. We don't know what we don't know; that's why we hire people. I stand by the review.

The very first time I wrote this review was about 6 months ago he seemed very nice and affordable, but he lacks customer service skills badly. I contacted him about cutting my grass like a month ago, he gets back an entire week later and apologized. So I decided to give him another chance and contacted him yesterday about cutting my grass today and he said he could cut it. He called me today and I was busy at the time couldn't answer it. I text him and no response so unprofessional and he never came by today like he said he would. I believe he doesn't care about lower paying jobs like $50 and under because I have a small yard that he charges $45 for, but he shouldn't ignore his lower paying customers just because he might have gotten a bigger job somewhere else. Very unprofessional and very rude to ignore a past customer. Will never contact him again. Don't use his services.
