Great spot. The menu has a large variety and you can tell it's all made from scratch. My husband had the club and seafood soup. The soup was amazing and the sandwich delicious. I had the homemade falafel. The pita was so light and the homemade garlic sauce so so good.

Last minute change in venue brought us to this brunch place in downtown Collingwood. It's the weekend so it was free street parking; regularly $1/hr with 3 hour maximum. Vaccination status was checked at the entrance and then we were seated at one of many booths. Service was excellent! We saw the co-owner (the real boss was the spouse & kitchen chef) of Duncan's working the floor. Aside: Duncan was the name of a cat that ascended to cat heaven decades ago. The homemade food was incredible. I really loved the large bowl of Hearty Beef Vegetable soup. My son had the Butternut Squash selection. Delicious sandwiches; Montreal Smoked Meat and a Traditional Clubhouse. A great Collingwood brunch experience!

On my trip to Blue Mountain and Collingwood, my friend and I visited these spots on our first day. ----- We began our journey in these 2 places.. The Breakdown: Duncan Cafe | 8/10 | $16.50 I got the Traditional Clubhouse sandwich and it was flavourful. The staff were friendly and I loved the interior of the cafe with paintings and some art. It's a cute spot to visit while in Collingwood. Follow @debeats_ for more food spots outside Toronto!

My partner and I spent a lovely weekend in Collingwood and went to Duncan's for breakfast. It's a cozy place filled with artwork, matching the small town feel. We both got a cup of coffee and scrambled eggs with sausage and white toast. The sausage was amazing and you get 3 good sized pieces! The eggs were great as well and we clarified with our server that they don't use any milk or butter when cooking the eggs (perfect for those diary free). The potatoes were a bit on the soft side for me and I would have wanted it to have more of a crunch, but of course that is a personal preference. The price point is also super affordable and the quality of the food is up there. Overall, an enjoyable experience.

3.5 STARS Came for breakfast on a Sunday with a group of 4 and a baby. The restaurant was busy with most tables taken both inside and on the patio. We were seated in a timely manner inside and given a baby seat. Our server was lovely: attentive and very friendly. We all ordered different breakfast dishes, which were served fairly quickly. We all agreed that our dishes were alright. Nothing out of the ordinary. Three of us order eggs benny and we thought they were too salty. Perhaps it was the hollandaise sauce. Overall, a cute place to have breakfast with average food.

I'm not in the Collingwood area very often, but I stopped by here for brunch on my way back from a weekend at Blue Mountain. We picked Duncan's while searching for brunch places based on some pretty good Yelp reviews. That being said, maybe with limited options in the vicinity, the rave reviews should be taken with a grain of salt. So we arrived around 11-ish with a large group of 8 people, no reservations or anything. The restaurant was able to accomodate us without waiting, but gave us two tables for 4. We asked to move the tables, but they said we couldn't because that would block the aisle, which was very reasonable. A few minutes later, they came back and told us that a table for 8 had freed up, which I thought was very considerate of them. Points for service here! I ordered the eggs benedict, which comes with peameal bacon on the English muffin here, so that is a little bit different from most places. I thought the eggs were pretty standard, but some of the home fries were a little bit burnt, and the peameal bacon was too salty. I tried some of my friend's steak, and thought it was a little bit too dry and/or overcooked, but then again, he did ask for medium to medium-well, which isn't really my cup of tea. I liked the vibe in the restaurant, which definitely felt like a small town, community kind of diner, with a bar at the back. The place is vibrant and fun, with lots of cool artwork hanging around the restaurant walls which are available for purchase. Verdict: Duncan's is a decent choice for breakfast/brunch if you're in the area, and the people who work here are very nice and accomodating. However, the quality of the food doesn't get any better than average, so don't set your expectations too high.

I came here with a group of friends and was just able to get a table for 8. They have a few tables for groups but tables of 4 are the best. Breakfast options are available but the diner gets busy around lunch. I really like how all the art on the walls are for sale - adds a distinctive taste to the cafe and also helps to promote local artists. I ordered a steak and eggs. It was very average in quality - the steak was slightly overcooked for medium. Good quantity as it is very filling. General consensus among our group is that it is a nice casual diner with average quality food.

Nice decor but food was okay. Wrap was average; western sandwich was average and the combo breakfast was little portion and average.

Not fall off the bone as they were the year before. Pulled pork - not good at all. Had a vinegar flavour and really disappointed. Brisket - incredible and to die for. Al least one dish was great. Fries and slaw were very good. Burnt ends - for $17 you got 5 pieces swimming in a sea of sauce. 1/2 were flavorful and 1/2 so rock hard and impossible to chew. Overall this is the worst experience we have had with this take out. We get takeout every year once or twice each time we are up in the blue mountain. May need to try a chain like Montana's next time as we were so disappointed this time.

Hungry Hangar is literally beside the Keppel International runway so it is a very cool place to watch small planes take off and land while eating. It's so popular with locals that the owners had to ask patrons to keep their stay to 1.5 hours so other customers can also dine with them. Sure enough, mid--way through our meal, a plan landed and taxied right to the window, parked, while the pilot hopped out and walked to the office building next to the restaurant. This is our first visit to Wiarton and we wanted to have breakfast locally. On a Tuesday morning, only two restaurants served breakfast. So glad we chose this one. We both love skillets and chose one with kielbasa sausage and one with thick slides bacon pieces. Our server was so friendly and helpful in describing the menu. We elected to have the sauce on the side; she was really open to meeting our needs. When our skillets came, they were literally medium-sized cast iron skillets, filled with crispy home potatoes, onions, bell pepper, loaded with meat and two perfectly medium fried eggs on top, with just the right amount of melted cheddar cheese. We thoroughly enjoyed HALF of our meals, dabbing our forks in the tangy, sweet sauce and sipping our very fresh decaf coffee. What a comfort meal. We boxed up our other half and will repeat this joyful meal tomorrow morning in our hotel room, though the ambience will not be nearly as entertaining. The restaurant was filled with locals, always a good sign. It's a rather small room with about 8 tables, so there is likely to be a wait on weekends. That's OK. It's worth the wait. The price was very reasonable, especially given the generous portion sizes. We will definitely be returning to try their lunch entrees. The menu looked wonderful, with many tried and true satisfying choices. Definitely out this diner in your list if you are anywhere nearby. And save time to hang around and watch airplanes do their thing.
