There is not a bad seat in the small theatre but our first row seats were particularly good. The acting was excellent and it was fun to see the expressions so close. If I were to read the play I would have thought it was good, but the acting (and sets and staging) made it great. We had a freshly baked cookie before the show and that was terrific also. My friend''s daughter, Dana was in the show as she is a comedianne. There were other comediennes in the show and I enjoyed the evening. We saw a few people leave because this one lady saved so many seats. We told the manager then they asked US to move to accommodate someone's else and then made a joke that "yeah you got to sit by people here" no joke lady. Also not a lot of leg room but you could purchase seats on the stage if you buy them early enough and you don't mind being ragged by the comic. They have drinks and it's not required that you have a minimum number. The entertainment was 4.5 stars. I like that they raise money for charity.

The evening featured several short plays, each about 15 minutes long, with a 20-minute intermission in between. After the performances, the playwrights came on stage for a Q&A session, which gave the audience a chance to hear about their creative process and ask questions. It was a wonderful addition to the evening. I'm usually away this time of year, so this was my first opportunity to attend, and I'm so glad I did. The tickets were also very reasonably priced, making it an excellent value for a night of live theater. I hope to make this an annual tradition and will definitely be back next year!

The talent was incredible both from the tap dancers and the actors on this vastly smaller venue in this residential area of Delray Beach directly on Lake Ida. From what I can see, everyone in the audience was clapping and cheering, and standing on their feet for this production. It's amazing how the small Theatre can attract such great talent and put on an amazing show right here in our little town. I love coming to Delray Beach Playhouse. I've seen several shows here and they have all been wonderful. The Theatre is very comfortable for the most part and parking is easy, and free in their private lot.

From unforgettable nights watching Black Sabbath, Red Hot Chili Peppers, ZZ Top, and Lynyrd Skynyrd, to many other incredible bands, every visit has been a special experience filled with stories afterwards. The acoustics are excellent, the venue is well organized, and I've never had trouble finding restrooms, food, or a cold beer or cocktail, even during sold-out events. Plenty of options. What I like is the covered seating area which is a major advantage, especially with Florida's unpredictable weather. Whether you're on the lawn or under the pavilion, it's a great place to enjoy live music. A bit of history makes this venue even more special. It officially opened on April 26, 1996, as Coral Sky Amphitheatre, with Bachman-Turner Overdrive (BTO) headlining the inaugural concert. The first song performed was the classic "You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet", a fitting kickoff for what would become one of South Florida's premier concert destinations. Overall, iTHINK Financial Amphitheatre remains one of the best live music venues in South Florida and a place I always look forward to seeing a show.

I read "World Performance Arts Center" and thought it seemed a bit presumptuous for what I figured would be a small college theater. It is actually "Wold" in honor of the major donors haha, my bad. The theater is not small at 750 seats. The venue still looks new inside and out, and it is almost 20 years old. The lobby is amazingly airy and spacious with a reception area and stunning contemporary chandeliers. The theater itself is modern, with warm woods and bathed in red...red curtains and seats. It is a beautiful performance arrangement with good sightlines and excellent acoustics, with fine sound system (based on the mics the actors wore, I could hear almost every word). No wonder it was selected for the final televised 2012 US Presidential Debate between Obama and Romney. Rest rooms are huge and clean. One minor note is the box office can be slow to purchase tickets and there could be wait. In this day and age, when purchasing with a credit card, why do they need to manually type in billing address, etc.? Update the system so the ticket buyer only has to insert the card and be on their way.

I found the movie schedule and times on line -- as it seems they hadn't updated the marquee signs yet. But they are obviously short staffed. The same guy who opened the doors and sold the tickets, he also made the popcorn. The theater where the movie we were seeing was shown was small with one center aisle and rows with four seats on either side of the aisle. As we were there early, there were only a few other folks in our movie showing. It was like having a private theater. The seats do go back, but they aren't automated. You have to "push" to get them to recline. The amazing part is the price. All movies are only $6 per person. Add in a combo of a drink and a small popcorn for only $7. They have first run as well as some limited and artsy films. We'd definitely come here again if in the area. Such an inexpensive opportunity for date night or daytime entertainment.

The Alabama Shakes crowd is a chill one, so a lot of people had blankets and were sitting on the outdoor lawn. We got a nice standing spot up front and caught a vibe all night. Some people brought lawn chairs but it seems like the venue has different dates or events where lawn chairs or acceptable or not, this was not that night. Parking is not too far away so they put them back and came back with blankets to sit on. There are a variety of food and beverage vendors. Pizza, sandwiches, hot dogs, empanadas, fries, cocktails, beer, lemonade, water-- there is something for everyone here.

There is no formal seating it's all lawn seating. Nice Amphitheater with a view of a lake and they have restrooms. There are food vendors so there's plenty to eat. And there is plenty of free parking which is a bonus these days since most venues charge $ 20 plus to park
