I wonder why the rating for this park is not that high (barely 3.5 stars) even though it's a clean, spacious park with trails that are quite extensive. It's also a walking distance from two major shopping centers (Tamarac Square and Tiffany Plaza.) People who work in the nearby offices can walk over here and burn some calories from lunch if they choose to. And I'm pretty sure people who live in the neighborhood can appreciate this place so much especially if they have dogs to walk. I'm going to make it a habit to come here more often from now on. I think this will be a great place for a quick morning jog. Hence, I must give it a 4-star review.

Even on a gray, overcast day, the green holds its color and the whole place feels alive. The space-themed playground is the centerpiece for younger visitors -- and honestly, for older kids too. It's genuinely fun, not just functional, with multiple play structures, accessible rubber surfacing underfoot, and swing options for toddlers and bigger kids alike. Scattered throughout the park are standing rocks engraved with planets and space facts -- a nice touch that adds a little wonder to a walk. Some of them are showing their age from years of Colorado weather, but the idea behind them is solid and still sparks curiosity. It has great playground equipment with this foam like rubbery floor stuff under it to help cushion any severe falls. 2 different types of swings, those for little kids that are like a butt harness and those that are for bigger kids and even adults to swing on. The park has some great sheltered areas that include a table and some bbq's. In the spring, summer and fall is nearly always full of people playing football, soccer and baseball. It's got a long paved walking trail that goes around the entire park. This trail is about a mile all the way around the last time I walked it. I will have to walk it again and update this post. Not like I don't walk it all the time, I just forget how long it is:) Ample parking as well. Great place to get out and get some sun if you're in the area.

The park has two playgrounds--one for littles and one for bigger kids--but our group of toddlers had fun on both! There are swings, a tire swing, and fun spring toy cars to climb on. The big open field has soccer goals and plenty of space to run around. There's also a nice walking trail and a cute little creek nearby. We didn't check out the restroom, but it's there if you need it. The small gazebo with picnic tables was perfect for a quick snack break. Great spot for a playdate!

One thing to note is that this is meant to be more of a neighborhood type park and there is no parking lot so you'll either have to get here by walking paths or parking in the neighborhoods. The 5+ playground includes a giant slide, which makes reminds me of when I used to go to the fair as a kid and go down the slide in a burlap sack. There are also plenty of climbing opportunities, a merry-go-round, a spinning chair and even some drums. Go ahead and pack a lunch, there are two picnic tables which are covered to shelter from the sun. This is a great spot to take your kiddos and my favorite part.. there's even a little library along the walking path.

There's also a path so you can walk around the soccer field that's in the middle and it also joins onto Piney Creek Trail so if you want to walk out the bottom of the park and down the side of the road you can go for miles.

Whoa, this place rocks! They have a couple coveted pavilions if you went to sit ( I opted to have lunch here) along with a nice walking trail that will take you over to Lincoln. You can walk to Sprouts, Mad Greens and Schwab and more! Props to having street parking that makes it easy to get in and out! Only bad thing about place? You may get the Mr Belvedere theme song in your head.

Best way to unplug and enjoy the community park. Gwen is such an awesome instructor and plenty of space for yogis to stretch out and savasana. Well kept and maintained, this park is kid friendly and dog welcomed. I am a big fan of local parks and can't wait until this zip code becomes my permanent one. See you on the mat!
