They are a broker company with uneducated people working the phones. Scheduled the delivery of a dumpster. They delivered a day late. Had to put our job on hold. I called and asked for a service fee to be waived. Customer service was rude and arrogant. I really don't like people from the east coast. read more

DO NOT USE THEM RIPP OFF. I will have to sue in small claims court to get back my money. Credit card companies are just about worthless in dealing with these jerks. Do NOT sign any agreement with them. They delivered the container 7 hours late. Lied 3 times on the arrival time. Blocked a garage so the car could not get out for 36 hours. They tried to Say I used it because they left one piece of paper in it. I wish I had read this review page before I contacted them. They LIE. Calling to cancel is worthless. Calling to find out details worthless. Need EVERYTHING in writing or they deny it happened. read more

I scheduled a dumpster rental two days out and told the rep in needed to be here in the morning. never showed up. Just kept blowing smoke up my ass. Rude staff, super unprofessional. Then I call to get a refund, they wanted to charge me 250$ despite not showing up !! DO NOT USE THESE GUYS! read more

Shysters. Believe me you'll end up paying more than you planned with them. Don't say you weren't warned. AVOID!!

Customer service is horrible. Called to get the dumpster swapped out and they said someone would call with the ETA. I had to call them several times and it took two days to get an answer. Not good when you are paying employees to wait around . No communication and they ask you to hold and hang up, happened about five times. New Dumpster showed up and it should be in a dumpster full of holes. read more

If you want to be treated like garbage, this place in the national leader! I cannot believe a company this horrible manages to stay in business. They took $695 for credit card payment, confirmed they would deliver a dumpster for a public lands cleanup. Without calling us or any notice, they went behind our backs, refunded the credit card and never showed up with the dumpster. We had 117 people show up to a cleanup with no dumpster because this company couldn't do their job and their employees care so little, they didn't have the decency to call us and tell us they wouldn't honor their commitment. We had to pile 7.95 tons of trash (15,900 pounds) and contract a different company to come out and help us load a dumpster. Dumpster Rental Inc likely couldn't contract anyone local for the price they quoted me, so they just cancelled everything and washed their hands of it. No one could give me any answers when I called wanting an explanation. I was told by several people a supervisor would call me to go over what happened and no one ever calls. David Ross was one of the rudest people I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with. Save yourself a lot of headache and do not do business with this company. They may quote you a cheaper price, but trust me, it will cost you far more in the long run if you try to do business with them. Pay someone else, even if it's a litter more expensive because you will be deeply disappointed if you work with Dumpster Rental Inc. read more

OMG, i wish i read the reviews before i used this company. What a headache!! Such horrible, horrible customer service and sales basically lies to you to get the sales. Terms and condition is vague so they can get out of being accountable. When i tried to work with them to get it fixed, customer service rep argued with me and accused me of lying. It is unbelievable how they are still in business. The sales person told me it was going to be delivered on one day, and i confirmed as i had help coming over. Dumpster never showed up. I called the next day to complain and they said whoops, but if you cancel they'll charge you $250 (which is outrageous). I told them not to deliver it, and so what do they do? Of course they delivered it! I've never been so aggravated dealing with a company before. Save yourself a headache and don't use them, they are a big "dumpster fire"!! read more

Scammers!!! They will charge your credit card on file after they're done. The agreement was for 7 days. I was done with the dumpster on the 2nd day and I called them 5 times to pick it up. They didn't show up till 9 days after and charged my card for 2 days extra! Rude manager failed to even listed to what the issue is. Horrible experience Professional scammers! read more

Haven't received my dumpster yet, and I'm still giving them a terrible review. 1. The price quoted on the phone was not what we were invoiced. 2. The dumpster is now 8 hours late 3. When I call to find out about the dumpster, I either get their answering service, which can't offer any info, or I get a message saying that the mailbox I've called hasn't been setup yet. 4. We called yesterday to confirm, and there was "no problem" 5. There's a big problem. Do not use these guys. Just terrible service and reliability. read more

Please don't use these people unless you WANT to get ripped off. Horrible customer service. Horrible. I tried 8 times over a period of a week to phone them in order to call off their dumpster and their phone system hung up on me every time. And you HAVE to phone them in order to call off the dumpster. Sounds like a good way to rack up the overage charges, huh? My emails also went completely unanswered. When I finally got through by phone, the first-level customer dis-service agent couldn't actually help me with anything at all, but she said she would have her manager Tony call me back the next day at 10 AM. No call. They have charged my credit card for the extra days, I disputed the charge and they denied the refund (reading the other recent Yelp reviews I guess they have some experience with this issue). My only recourse will be to waste more time and money taking them to court. Please learn from my experience and DON'T USE THEM. read more

Such horrible horrible customer service. Save yourself a headache and go with someone else. Unreliable people. Was told one time for delivery of the dumpster and they arrived hours later. When I called early on to inquire as to where the dumpster was, they said they were busy and would get there when they can. I asked them why no one communicated this and they said they left a message (they didn't---I even checked which number they had on file). So they lied about that. I called the same day (Saturday) and asked them when the earliest they could pick up the dumpster. She said Monday morning. I said fine. Monday came and went and the dumpster was still in the yard. I called to ask them when their eta was. She said they need two to three days notice so they can't come until the next day (Tuesday). I told her I made the request Saturday which is a full two days ahead of time. She told me I was speaking to the answering service and they are not authorized to schedule pick ups. How am I supposed to know that? If someone says "you're all set, the dumpster will be picked up Monday" you don't assume that that person is not authorized to pick it up. The reason we were so eager to get he dumpster out is because we need pictures taken to sell the house. This company pushed that timeline back and was silent on their end. I'm sure when the dumpster is actually picked up, we'll be charged crazy unreasonable fees "just because." So frustrated with this company and their horrible service. Also, their dispatch is not open on Saturday and the whole company is not open Sunday. You would think that people needing dumpsters may need to talk to people on the weekends too. We'll need another dumpster in a few months but will definitely be choosing a different company. Never again. read more

I lost $1425 in dumpster charges they claim was for not returning their dumpster which was a lie and I have proof . I disputed with my bank sent in pictures and proof and the merchant denied the refund so I'm stuck with only taking them to court for this. Nothing the bank can do if the merchant denies the claim. I had to cancel my card so they stop charging me reoccurring charges. We need to get together and file a lawsuit and have this business shut down for more people get scammed . They know the loop hole . Please contact me if you have been a victim and want to help have them shut down for all the fraud. read more

If I could give this place a negative 10 If i could. They have the rudest staff answering the phone, putting me on hold and never returning or transferring me to an answering machine that is full, saying they will call me back and never do. They never answer there emails. So here is my story.......I called and set up a delivery of a 30 ton roll-off dumpster to my home clean-up project at my Fathers. Ask many times how many times I could get it dumped for the price I was paying and was informed "as many as I need", asked would this cost "No". Was glad to get such a good price for 30 days and as many dumps as I needed so I signed the contract. No where does the contract say, 1 time dump for this price. I called when it was full to have it dumped and it took them 4 days to finally pick it up. She asked if I wanted it returned and of course I did. They came and took it and never returned it. I called MULTIPLE times trying to get it returned, had workers with no where to put anything, and no one EVER told me that it was a 1 time thing. Finally finally got a hold of a supervisor and he told me the whole story .......that it says this in my contract.....no it does not, would of never paid this much for having it for 4 days and one dump. I am going to dispute the charges with my bank. THIS PLACE SUCKS, THEY ARE DISHONEST AND RUDE. DO NOT USE THEM....THEY WILL SCAM YOU TOO !!!!! read more

These people are SCAMMERS. They will tell you one thing when you call to order and then add on all kinds of fees when it's time to pick up. If you call them out on it they will deny everything and call you a liar. Everyone I spoke with was incredibly rude, and the "sales rep" actually insulted my mother! STAY AWAY AT ALL COST!! I wish I'd have checked the reviews here first but I had called so many places and was desperate for a dumpster ASAP. It does not suprise me one bit to find out they also have an "F" rating with the BBB. read more

Go to any other company than this one. This company is a Scam. Dumpster Rental conducts business under Discount Dumpster Rental Nationwide. They are the same company. We found this out after filing a complaint with BBB. Beware, there are hidden fees: We placed an order over the phone for a 10-yard dumpster for $495. Moments later, a $618 charge was deducted from our account. Immediately after calling the sales rep, we were told of associated additional fees (taxes and delivery charge). Deadlines are not met and customer service reps/manager should be fired. We called on Monday to request pick up and were advised by Nicole Ross (self-identified manager) that it would be picked up on Tuesday. Two days, 9 calls, and multiple representatives later, we spoke with Nicole again - who sounded like she was answering a personal call instead of a business line - and to our surprise, Nicole became argumentative and rudely stated that instead of next day pick up confirmation, it takes 2-3 business days. 4 days later, the dumpster is still on the city's parkway. According to their website, they boast of "On time delivery and pick ups" and "Friendly reliable service." Both statements are misrepresentations. Dealing with this company is a nightmare. The prices are outrageous, the representatives have zero customer service training, and deadlines are not met. Want better service with better prices in the Chicagoland area? Go with Waste Management. We rented three dumpsters with them and no problems, yet. Do yourself a favor and avoid this nightmare. Better yet, let's hold this company accountable and file a complaint with BBB. read more

I would not recommend this company. Horrible customer service. Josh in sales stated we would have our dumpster that same day but it didn't show until the next day. This is after I called them to see where it was. After asking for a refund, they told me customer service would get back to me. No call from customer service in 2 days. I finally get in touch with Tina Brooks, the accounting manager. Tina goes on to tell me they do not offer same day delivery? Hmmmm...so did Josh lie to get the sale? When asked to speak to someone above her, Tina basically tells me the buck stops at her and the owner doesn't return calls or talk with customers? Great business concept. In the end Tina says I can only be refunded $20 of my $468 bill! Thanks for the great service....we only gave them a 1 because we couldn't give them a ZERO!! read more

I would rate it Negative stars if that was an option! I ordered a 40 yard dumpster for misc. house/yard clean-up and was told it would be delivered on Friday 5/4/18. On Friday I was contacted and asked if it could be delivered on Saturday Morning because they were unable to make it on Friday, I agreed as long as it would be delivered first thing in the morning, I was assured it would be delivered between 7AM-9AM. Saturday 9:20am I get a call saying the dumpster was still not there and the people I was paying to do major tree work had no place to put the branches etc. I called and left several messages but never received a return call, finally I got hold of a live person that informed me the dumpster would be delivered around Noon! I told him that was unacceptable that they were voiding our agreement and asked to speak to a supervisor, he told me he was the only one there with any authority and repeated the dumpster would be delivered around Noon. In the meantime my husband was also trying to get hold of someone and when he got a live body that person told him the dumpster would not be delivered until between 1pm & 3pm, he too asked to speak to a supervisor and was given the same line I was! They finally delivered the dumpster around 12:30pm But they delivered a recycle Dumpster that we could only put in Green Waste!! Which is not what I requested!! Because of their ineptness it cost me over $1000. extra to have the cleanup crew come back on Sunday to finish the job since the dumpster was delivered a day and a half LATE! I called off the dumpster yesterday, really curious how long it will take them to remove it from my property. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND CALL A DIFFERENT COMPANY! Worst dumpster company I have ever come across. I ordered a 40 yard dumpster for next day delivery. That morning i get a call that a 20 yard dumpster was en route..i called back Josh Stevenson, the sales rep who helped me rent the dumpster and he said that they actually do not even sell 40 yarders. So, he said he would refund the difference and have a 30 yard dumpster out immediately. Well, that dumpster never came and when trying to call for my money back, i got transferred to 3 different people only to get hung up on. Can't believe they are still in business. I called the company 4/28 and schedule a delivery to be made on 5/2 speaking to a David Ross at 888-445-3867 ext 210. He said that they had no Monday deliveries and the earliest was Tuesday. I called them on Monday morning and cancelled the dumpster due to the bad weather that was in the forecast and re-scheduled the delivery for two weeks time. He confirmed that the delivery was cancelled and that I would be refunded the money. Well, 5 hours later the homeowner calls me and is complaining that a dumpster is sitting in the middle of his driveway, blocking both garages and that he can't get out of his own house and goto work. I called the company and was passed back and forth, people hangin up the phone, people putting me into voicemail system or just leaving me on hold music. I finally speak to a Maria, she says that the dispatcher for the deliveries is the manager Nicole. I spend the rest of the day trying to get a hold of her but to no avail. I left a voicemail message and my call was never returned. I begin the process again the following day and after trying for almost two hours, I finally speak to "Nicole". She tells me that they will arrange the pick up and will refund me the money for their error. May 4th, I call and ask about my refund, they tell me that the dumpster had trash in it and that no refund will be issued. How does the dumpster have any trash in it, when the homeowner was out of town, the project was cancelled for two more weeks and I personally saw the dumpster and it was empty. This has been the WORST experience of my life and one that I wouldn't wish on anyone. Dumpster Rental Inc are nothing but scoundrels, crooked, dishonest, rude and thieves. read more

Worst customer service ever. No one answers their phones. You sign a contract for an amount of time and then need to call for pickup but you can't get through and are put into a call system with bad music and then either get "voice mailbox has not been set up" or you have to leave a message and no one calls you back. When I finally did get a sales person on the phone they were extremely rude and could not help me avoid additional fees for additional days. She transferred me to a VM box that hadn't been set up. At first I was so impressed with the sales guy that I spoke to, Albert. He was friendly and helpful, and made me feel as if I had made a great choice for my dumpster needs. Reserving the dumpster and deliver of it went perfectly. Dumpster was delivered on a Friday, we did our clean out on a Sunday, and then I called on Tuesday to have it picked up. The ignorant girl in their "customer service" area was quick to get me off the phone. But she had said that she would schedule the pick up for that Thursday, so I didn't think much more of it. Fast forward to today, a whole week later, and the dumpster is still there!!! I don't live at the property, or else I would have called back sooner. I called them yet again to have schedule the pick up. First call got disconnected after selecting 1. 2nd call was answered by a guy that answered the phone as if it he was talking to one of his buddies. 3rd call eventually got transferred to "customer service" where the same girl answered the phone. I tell her the situation, to which she tells me she will schedule the pick up. I proceed to tell her that I will not be paying for the extra days the dumpster sat in my driveway, as I had called last week to have it picked up. Her response, "well we don't have any record of you calling." NO $HIT you idiot cause you didn't actually schedule the pick up! I told her that I would be disputing any additional charges with my credit card company, and her smart ass, ignorant response, "well you signed a contract". Yes, I signed a contract, and fulfilled my end of it by calling you to have it hauled away, before the week was even up. I swear, I wanted to slap this girl through the phone. Even though their prices may be good, please don't do business with these people. It will cause you more headaches than it's worth! read more

I ordered a 15 yd container, I signed an invoice for $400.40. When the dumpster arrived it was only a 10 yd. My contractor called them immediately and said it was not what we ordered. The salesman Albert Pagen said he would send another 10 yd container and give us a super deal. We said no because we only needed one dumpster to fill our needs. Since we did not get a response, we filled the 10 yd and called to have it removed. The dumpster sat there so we called the actual owner of the container and he said he would call them. He could not pick it up until they released it back to him. He called them 5 times before he got to speak to a person. A new 10 yd was delivered and the filled one was picked up. The delivery man said that he only had 10 and 15 yd containers and he did not have any 15's available. The invoice for the second dumpster was sent to me for my signature. It was for a 10 yd but the same price $400.40. They also charged me $180 in late fees (9 days @ $20). I did not sign the invoice. We called and complained about the overage and Albert transferred me to the billing department. The girl we talked to said she would reverse the $180 but would have to get authorization to correct the billing on the second dumpster. The credit and correction never happened. We called Albert who transferred me to the billing department and I left a message. She never returned my call. I called Albert to have the second dumpster picked up and he said I had to sign the invoice before he would authorize the pickup. Then I was billed for another 6 days ($120) overage. We called and complained again and they opened up a ticket to handle the issues (T-33953). That is where we stand today. I do not understand how a company can still be in business with such a pitiful track record. I guess the BBB has zero clout. read more
