The move required a lot of stairs at both places, heavy furniture, boxes and lots of packed items as well. they were fast, efficient and the absolute nicest guys who worked their butts off. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for movers who care about your stuff and are great at their jobs.

Moving sucks, Mambo makes it easy…read more You have countless options of movers to choose from in Philadelphia, Mambo Movers is the clear winner. I've moved with them twice now, both within the city. Their team is friendly, careful, and fairly priced. They moved me out of my 1 bedroom apartment within a couple hours with no issues. They are cash only and price is dependent on how much stuff you have, oversized items, distance and what floor you are moving from and to. Next time I move, I'll be using Mambo again.

He came to our apartment the night before the big move to wrap as much furniture as he could and it was a HUGE help. He worked fast and wrapped almost everything! When he and his team came over the next day, they loaded everything in an assembly line fashion, one guy taking stuff to the hallway, another putting it on the elevator, and a third guy taking it off the elevator, then they all loaded the truck. It took much less time than other movers and was so efficient. He charged us a flat rate and it was so much less than other movers I have used before, even for far less furniture/boxes to be moved. They were all so nice and friendly. They are the best!

They have dispelled the myth that movers have to be big, bulky, loud, clumsy, oafs. I was pleasantly surprised. Mother had to pay a $500.00 up front insurance fee to ensure that any scratches, dinks, or dents would paid for. I am happy to report that she received her insurance deposit back, in full! I have already hired them for another upcoming job. I will always call October Ocean, LLC, first for any moving requirements I may have. They are the prototype of what a Moving Company should be!

I tipped sideways, and my bed broke with me in it! I called to ask if they would be willing to not replace the (PRICEY!!!) bed, but to just come fix it with some 2X4s I'd gotten, but I'm not that handy. Since it's the internal structure, I don't care how pretty is the place where I lay my mattress. Crickets. I spent A.LOT.OF.MONEY on this move. I will rehire these guys for my next move (even though I hope it's not anytime soon lmao)!…read more I hired them for an unload-only job. They called me when they were 45 minutes away and arrived promptly. When they arrived, they were organized, professional, and fast. With 3 guys, it took under 2 hours to unload a 15 foot U-Haul. My final total plus processing fee was actually lower than quote range they gave me. The best bit: my front door was sliiiiiiightly too small to fit my couch through. I was mentally over everything to do with moving at that point and was going to say we could put it back on the truck and donate it. But what did the Old City guys do? They tried to take it through the window, which was also slightly too small! They had to disassemble the window, bring my couch in, then put the window back together! I'm honestly still impressed at the dedication. Other stuff: They responded to my quote request through their website in less than 1.5 hours. Their email communications were very thorough about guidelines and policies, which I appreciated a lot during a hectic move.

We did the loading end but the Sultans of Schlep sent 3 smart, funny, hipster artists to unload, which they did in 3 hours. I don't plan to move anytime soon but I would hire them again in a minute.
