I asked, what about the other clothes - they claim they were not interested in it . When I walked in - the sales girl thought a bin of sneakers belonged to me - I said that's not mine . So to think if they are organized ? THEYRE NOT . If you donate $1000. 00 Worth of clothing - you get to write of approximately 20% . Stick to donating rather than getting $20-$30 for your items . Gift it to savacenter before giving it to an organization that makes 60-80% return on the items . Further , in order to get a decent evaluation - they want the items dry cleaned , ironed and on a hanger (new) so they can just take it , tag it and put it out to sell without any additional work for the 10-12 girls that work there . Throughout the appointment, it was…read moreclear that she did not personally think the silhouette I preferred (sheath) was well suited for me. She preferred a-line. Fine, that is a stylists job to help you find what works best for your body. I felt there was some slight body shaming inherent in her pushiness, but whatever. I chalked it up to the stylist being a bit older and perhaps of an era where curves were not as celebrated as they are now. I would not have written a review, except for this one exchange that really continues to not sit well with me. After I responded to her that I was comfortable with my curves and that my fiancé is also a fan of my body, she said: well it doesn't matter what he thinks, they always think you look nice. It is everyone else at the wedding you should be thinking about. That was just a step too far for me. I promptly left, ending up purchasing the sheath dress I liked elsewhere where I was comfortable doing business. It just left a bad taste in my mouth that she (1) was unable to read the room about my personal preferences and comfort, I wasn't looking to her to help me decide what suited me best in that moment and (2) would go so far as to stoke insecurity with that last comment. It doesn't matter, but I am a size 8-10 street, 14-16 bridal. I include that only as a reference for those who might be seeking an inclusive, supportive shopping experience -- because that is NOT what I had here. They did have some nice dresses in stock, though I did not fit into any of the samples really.

Primark is an Irish retailer of affordable fashion for men, women and children. Other locations also carry home items, but not the Danbury location. They are very popular across the British Isles as well as several countries across Europe. The Primark in Danbury is part of the Danbury Fair Mall, the good news is you can access it as its own store, no need to go through the mall. This store is massive, there were so many shoes when we first walked in. There's hair accessories, purses and other small knickknacks. The clothes aren't super organized. The hangers are marked with various sizes, but they are actually all random sizes hung on random hangers. This was everywhere, same with the shoes. I am a bit selective when it comes to clothes shopping, I prefer my items to be mostly cotton. Cotton items were difficult to find or non existent at Primark. We spent two hours here and all I found were two items. Keeping in mind that they are a fast fashion retailer, the quality isn't always there. Loose strings, uneven stitching, unavailable sizes are all a part of the gamble. The wait to access a fitting room was surprisingly fast and efficient. The line to check out was long but moved fast, due to several open registers. I'm glad I experienced Primark, while they aren't for me, they might be for you. Marshalls, Target and Amazon are more accessible for me.

It felt like we were interrupting them when we needed assistance. Their feedback about dresses that my daughter tried on felt ingenuine and sometimes pushy.
