Terrible experience. Tried to ignore red flags in the office because I was in so much pain but…read moreplease if you can find another place to go DO IT! 1. Charged me $400 for service and refused to explain what I was being charged for. The receptionist used a condescending tone with me. The dentist decided I shouldn't be charged instead of apologizing; the receptionist called the manager to handle the refund instead of just refunding and apologizing. 2. There were 3 dentists in the span of a few months. One told me not to have my tooth pulled, and I needed a root canal and filling. The second told me I needed 2 root canals and tried to base my service solely off of X-Rays. It wasnt until I started questioning the change in service that the dentist took time to talk to me and turns out a completely different service was needed 3. Scheduled me for a 7:00 AM appointment that didn't exist. I showed up and was told I could drive to a different location and wait until 9:00 AM when the dentist came in. (took off work and cleared meetings off my schedule to make this appointment) 4. When I came late after they messed up my appointment, I had to argue with them to be seen. There is no compassion in this office, and this is one of the most difficult dentist appointments I have ever experienced. I will never be back. They recently had a change in ownership and clearly have not gotten their bearings. I was called multiple times for appointments already scheduled, told I would get calls for referrals that never came and was left to figure out everything for myself. As someone who is in healthcare operations you all need to do better. The only answer I was given was " We just do what our boss tells us".

On September 29, 2021, I went to my very first appointment at this dental office. When I checked in…read morewith the receptionist for my 1 p.m. appointment, she asked for my Driver's License (DL) even before she gave me any paperwork to fill out. When I asked for the reason, she initially told me it was needed to verify my appointment. Then she informed me that a copy of it was needed to have on file and to verify the information on the patient forms. Before I handed her my DL, I told her that she could not make a copy of it but that she may use it to verify my appointment and the information on the forms when I fill them out. She repeated that a copy was needed on file for future references. But, I emphatically told her that she could not make a copy. I stated that government agencies advise people to exercise caution when providing personal information and to not hand over DL or Social Security Card when it is not necessary due to rising cases of identity theft. But, she insisted that it was needed for insurance purposes. Again, I told her not to make a copy. Plus, when I made the appointment, I stated that I would be paying out of pocket instead of with insurance. Despite my concern for privacy and without having my consent, the receptionist surreptitiously put my license on the scanner while I looked away at my phone. However, I caught her taking it out of the scanner just as I looked up. When I asked her if she had just made a copy, she answered--"No, I scanned it"--with a smirk. My instinct told me that this establishment could not be trusted. Despite my intense toothache, I immediately told her that I was cancelling my appointment. Better safe than sorry. She then proceeded to slide my license under the patient forms on a clipboard instead of handing it back to me and placed the clipboard behind the scanner as if I would not notice. When she realized that I was on to her game, she reached in and took out the license. Her actions and body language spoke clearly to me that this establishment could not be trusted. I asked to speak with the office manager who turns out was present the whole time I was interacting with the receptionist. I explained that my license was scanned without my consent and that I would like to have it deleted from the computer. To which, the receptionist stated that I had given her the consent--what a liar!!! What kind of place is this? Without addressing my concern, the office manager told me that a copy of the driver's license was needed for insurance purposes. However, I was not nor will ever be their client, therefore, my license was not needed. But, my concern fell on deaf ears. What are they going to do with my license? Are they going to use it for insurance fraud? Receptionist, along with the manager, is the face of this establishment. With such people, who clearly lack integrity, customer care, and professionalism, one can't but question if Duluth Dental and Dentures is a trustworthy place. If they can't show decency and respect when I first walk in to their office, how can I trust this dental office with the care of my teeth, health, and personal information? Based on the dishonest behavior of the receptionist and the lack of professionalism of the office manager, something in this establishment is very much amiss. If you are looking for a new dentist, I would think twice before visiting Duluth Dental and Dentures. Better safe than Sorry!!!

I have driven by this location multiple times but was encouraged to check it out from a family…read moremember. On first impressions, the facility was very clean with plenty of parking. Other than one front office staff, everyone is very friendly and accommodating. Andy, in particular, is one of the best dental hygienist that I have encountered. He is completely bilingual (English and Korean). He is very thorough, explains each step clearly, never rushes through his cleanings, remembers little patient details, and very kind. Dr. Kim is a man of not many words but good at what he does. I really wanted to give that one front office staff member the benefit of the doubt the first time I came but she was rude again the second time I came by. When I entered for my appointment, there was no greeting. Just a quick glance down at me and she asked for my name. Upon checkout, she was on the phone with someone arguing with them in a very belligerent tone of voice. At a certain point while still looking at her computer, she said ,"when can you next come in" and I genuinely was not sure who she was talking to. She then proceeded to rudely say ,"hello? I am talking to you" finally making eye contact with me. Maybe this is just her personality but not the best image for the clinic. In general, this is a very clean office with wonderful staff members. I have recommended this clinic to multiple friends and family.

Let's not forget about Dr. Rooh Afza she's literally a life saver. She was so caring and my experience was pain free. Then the doctor had the audacity to try and extract my left canine tooth while it wasn't numb causing me even more severe pain. She (the doctor) also admitted openly in front of me that she took off a little too much and exposed my left sinus cavity. Never again will I come back here. Also, their dental instruments are fucking filthy and gross. Last night I spiked two fevers from them putting their gross filthy dental instruments inside my mouth. This is by far the worst dental facility I've been to. I absolutely DO NOT recommend this place. This place is a joke and absolutely horrible. I have a visit with my ENT doctor This up coming week and if my left sinus cavity is compromised or damaged in anyway, I will be taking legal action. Also the doctort throughout my appointment, she kept telling her children not to watch too much television and to turn off the screen. Service: 0/10 Patient Compassion: 0/10 Patient Treatment: 0/10 Doctor Professionalism: 0/10 I 100% DO NOT Recommend this place. I recommend going elsewhere for your dental treatment needs.

Let me start by saying that this review has nothing to do with the Doctor that was treating me, my…read moreshort experience with Dr. Fabiola Palacios was amazing, she's very professional and very thorough. She was able to effectively find and treat a problem in one of my molars. My review has more to do with the office policies and the staff. So, I went for my first appointment and I was very happy, then I was referred to an endodontist and he was also very professional. I was scheduled with Gwinnett Family Dentistry (GFD) for a second appointment to finally get a crown in my molar, so they call me (GFD) and schedule my appointment, very nice lady, never mentioned any of their policies regarding changes or cancellations. On a Thursday, i receive a confirmation call from GFD and again, the nice lady never mentioned any of their policies or how long the procedure will take. So I confirm that I'm attending to my appointment, thinking that the procedure will take about an hour like in my first appointment, but what do I know??.. I'm just the patient who's never ever had a crown treatment before. So I call the day of my appointment, which was Monday, around 7:30-ish... I get Ingrid on the phone and I ask her how long is the treatment going to take? and she says "2 hours", and obviously I had no idea of the length because I was never informed. So I panic and I tell her that I can't make it because of work, I didn't know it would take 2 hours, and I have to reschedule..... I understand that I'm calling at the last minute, BUT.. Aren't they (GFD) supposed to inform you of these details before your actual appointment?? Anyways, she tells me there is a cancellation fee, and I tell her that I'm NOT cancelling, I'm rescheduling because I was not informed that the procedure would take that long. So she insists that is the same because is in the same day, less than 48 hours before my appointment. I get very upset, and I tell her that if they charge me a cancellation fee I will go to another dentists, obviously Ingrid doesn't care. She tell me that the administrator will be at their office the next day and she will call me... After a few minutes I call back and ask Ingrid how much the cancellation fee is?.... And her answer????.... " I don't know, the admin will call you tomorrow"... that never happened.... A week after, I receive a bill from them, it's only for $15, the original amount was $50 but after some credit they made I only "have" to pay $15, NOT my point... So my problem is..... Ingrid, works in that office, SHE tells me about the cancellation fee, but she doesn't know the amount.... So, how am I supposed to know about their policies if they never ever EVER mentioned them to me, the policies are not in their website and I was never informed by any of their staff, not when I scheduled my appointment and not when the nice lady called me to confirm my appointment.... But I have to know them????? Can someone please tell me what is the logic here????
