As soon as I saw Knead Some Love NY's gulab jamun donuts while walking around Smorgasburg, I was so excited and had to try them. I also got a mango lassi donut since my son loves mango lassi. We both LOVED our donuts. They are packed with flavor and a unique twist on popular desserts. My son loved how much mango flavor he could taste in his donut, and the gulab jamun donut was perfect. I loved the consistency of the fresh-baked donut, the gulab jamun on top and the frosting. Plus they are beautifully baked and pretty to look at. I will say as I was looking at their dessert displayed, I noticed a blueberry cheesecake that had gone bad and had mold. For the remainder of the time I was there, I didn't notice her take it away especially because more people came in and she got busy. Hopefully it was removed. Not sure if I'd try this place again. I've been getting this sandwich for years. I'm not sure if they forgot to put butter on it but the sandwich is typically never dry. Not sure what happened there. 3rd attempt- At store. The new employees seemed frazzled and you need to repeat your order to them about 10 times because they keep forgetting what you just told them one minute ago. I love this place and I'm only giving this review so that it doesn't go downhill. There are a lot of new cafés opening up in the area and I would hate for them to be left in the dust. The owner is very kind and cares about her customers, so I know she will care about this review and do something about it.
