Mathews Plumbing truly earned my five‑star rating on a significant project. Most importantly, they…read morereplaced my 13‑year‑old Kohler steam generator. During that work, they discovered that the original installer had not followed code and had made several mistakes that could have been costly--or even dangerous. Mathews Plumbing corrected all of the substandard work, including the associated wallboard and painting repairs required for the Kohler project, and successfully cleared a difficult city inspection. They also followed all the rules of our high rise condo association. They also installed new kitchen fixtures and a whole‑house water monitoring and automatic shutoff system, giving us peace of mind against potential plumbing leaks. The repairs tied to the steam generator involved wallboard, tile, and paint, and their team were true artists--matching the tile, textured wallboard, and paint flawlessly. Everyone on the team was professional, respectful, and very pleasant to work with. They took the time to educate me on the challenges involved, trained me on proper maintenance, and consistently cleaned up after their work. I have nothing but praise for Mathews Plumbing and would highly recommend them.

Feeling would be they unilaterally impose their own ideas and methods and aggressive It seems they lack services and approaches that are tailored to the customer's needs. I paid everything before thier work done, but they have not done. When we found the hot water line leak underneath the house, they took care of it immediately. After it needed to be installed drain to out our house, they are good job, but they asked us to pay for this before work is done. I was OK with the payment before they finished, but they did not say when the excavator people come, he said maybe this afternoon or tomorrow morning. Excavators came in next morning and worked to install the drain, but they did not finish the job, and we got complaints from neighborhood. Here is the picture they done. After they work done, they notice they should work more correctly, and they contacted us. On Friday, 12/19/25. 11:39 am. we had a phone call and conversation with plumber that he worked our hot water leak, and at that time he said excavator people come Saturday, but he did not mention what time, and he said he will find out what time they come in Saturday. But I have not received the update about what time excavator people come in Saturday. On Saturday, 12/20/25. 8:47 am. He called me and excavator people will be there, but we were not home because he did not update what time excavate people came on Saturday. Plumber said we will come Tuesday, Not Monday. We have nothing to do to fix or figure it out for our possible leak more than 1,696 gallons...that we received the Irregular water usage from City... Pat S. Thank you for your response. I attached the invoice and you could see the detail of our work.

started as an electric water heater (6 yrs old) making a noise. when they left I called them back…read morere: a leak in the wall. ended up a pipe under the master bathroom with water shooting up into the closet, bathroom, around vanity and into dining room. we went 2 days with the water shut off to the house. they came to repair. trenched out hole under the bathroom and fixed the pipe with the small hole in it. quoted price and set me up with financing with no interest. I had to digitally sign several times for the water clean up. the invoice I was given the plumber said he was leaving out the water restoration costs but my insurance would know and it was included in the financing. I started getting calls from restoration companies in NY, CA, San Antonio TX and Ohio. I didn't sign a thing with any of them and the company in Ohio is telling me I signed with them using a digital signature and it's the cost of my deductible. they have taken my digital signature with a local company and sold it or something to these frauds for payment. I had zero work done by any of them nor did I sign anything with them. I have the total costs financed and made my 1st payment. PLEASE DO NOT USE THEM. THEY ARE NOT TOTALLY FORTHCOMING AND SOMETHING WEIRD IS GOING ON. I will NEVER use them again and I will 100% not recommend them to anyone. I had used them a few months prior to clean out the pipes from the house to the city. I also was conned into a filter on my hot water tank. which was also said that he was leaving it off the bill but was included. because I asked him about the warranty. they took more dirt from the tunnel they made under the house than what they put back. they said they fill the hole with water then put enough dirt in to complete the fill. and that the dirt will expand over time. no it's going to settle and the dirt is gone to fill it up with. all the plumber, liaison , and the water restoration guy abandoned us when these 3rd parties got involved. the third parties have been nothing but nasty. I don't owe some lady living in Ohio anything. I asked them to cease and desist. but it's still going on.

The Leak Whisperers

Stay far away from this company!!!…read more Leak Whisperers charged my family $3,200 to repair a single slab leak, and the job was completely mishandled. They cut numerous holes in our walls and still failed to restore proper plumbing. Instead, they bypassed and canceled two manifolds, which resulted in no hot water to our kitchen and laundry room (documented). When they returned to "fix" the problem, they made things worse by creating dead‑end lines, causing hot‑water circulation issues throughout the house and leaving multiple areas with only lukewarm water. They then attempted to charge us an additional $800 for this. After multiple follow‑ups and excuses (all documented), the company ultimately stopped responding altogether. We were forced to hire a licensed plumber to correct their work by running new lines to our kitchen and laundry room. We know we were ripped off, and I'm sharing this so others don't make the same mistake. Do not consider using this company.

Folks, it's true, Jason truly is a Leak Whisperer…read more He came out the other day because I noticed my meter was running and there were no signs of water leaks at any plumbing fixtures inside. I feared a slab leak, which I've had before. Jason showed up and within 10 minutes had pinpointed where the leak was. It was on the line between my sink and tub in the master bathroom. We talked about a reroute or digging, but since I planned on renovating this bathroom in a few months anyway, he helped me out and capped off the lines which ran underground and eliminated the leak! Truly amazing how good this guy is, and quick too! Also worth noting that he is great at communicating with you and even came on a Sunday evening to cap off those lines! Pricing was excellent as well. Thank you, so much!

I came home Friday Afternoon (10APR26) to find a puddle forming in my garage. My water heater of…read moreover 16 years had finally given out. To Rescue Air's credit, they had been warning us each time they came out for HVAC Filter rotations. Thankfully, Rescue Air's ace plumbing expert Mr. Phillip Blystone was dispatched to my home to assess the situation. Within minutes he identified the issue and immediately started to work out a plan and arrangement my family could manage to cover the expense of the Water Heater replacement: the source of the leaking problem. Rescue Air has a very long history of working with my family since we've been in this home (2016), so that level of service is a given these days. But that's not the complete reason for the 5-Star rating. The next day, now with a working heater, my wife and I discovered that a leak was still present in the Garage. Upon calling Rescue Air to let them know what was going on, Mr. Blystone responded swiftly to our location to triage the leak. Using both his advanced equipment and intuition, he found that in spite of the solid repair and replace he and his team performed of the water heater, a leak was sadly missed during the initial assessment. Most other business would likely have tacked on a "not-our-problem" sort of response to this. However, Mr. Blystone and by extension Rescue Air are not your normal type of company. With careful consideration of the economic circumstance of the recent repair & purchase, balancing years of customer loyalty and being a genuinely saint, Mr. Blystone proceeded to isolate and resolve the leak (a small puncture hole in the T-pipe hot-water line leading from the heater) pro-gratis. Completely unexpected, but definitely much appreciated! It goes without saying it would be extremely foolish for my family to consider doing business with anyone else in the Dallas Metro given Rescue Air's track record with our family. The value lost would be far too great. While I hope to not need their services as often as recently, I definitely look forward to working with them and Mr. Blystone should the need arise again.

I believe the other negative reviews to be spot-on. Be very, very careful with this company…read more They came in to give an estimate for one repair, but that turned into a big, scary report of all the issues, pointing strongly at a completely new system. Ok. They had photos. Their explainations sounded reasonable, especially when coupled with the photos they quickly flashed through on their tiny phone. So, I told them that we would likely move forward, but I require two things - a copy of all of those photos, and two estimates, one for what they wanted to sell me, and a separate itemized repair list. I got two estimates - one for the original they were pushing, and another for something MORE expensive. No itemized list of repairs. No photos. When I reached out in email, they wanted a phone call. There is almost always a good reason for not wanting to leave a record via email. But, $15,000-ish for a new 5 ton unit, with no new duct work... yeah, you'd better *really* back that up. They could not (would not?) I now have to suspect that thier photos were doctored in some way, maybe even not all of my unit. Who knows? Who looks inside, like that? And, I suspect their reason for not sending me copies of those were dubious. They also pressured the sale claiming that "prices go up next week for Summer." Sha. Ok. This was in March. Good luck with these tactics. Not for me. If you want to give them enough rope to hang themselves to find out for yourself, just act ignorant and as excited for a new unit as they suddenly are to sell you on it. You'll see. It'll cost you $120 for the scammy diagnosis, though.
