When I was checking out the cashier told me this is the biggest store Dunham's has ever had. I also noticed that every section and offering was the same size if not bigger of the same corresponding section at the New Dicks House of Sports right down the road! The customer service is also way better than Dicks. I'm greeted upon entering I'm asked if I need help finding things and if I do I'm walked to the item I'm looking for! Not just told it's over in that general area behind said equipment.

He even explained why he personally liked a few of the products. I had done a little research before coming in and his recommendations lined up perfectly with what I was looking for. I stopped in looking for a pair of athletic shoes and spent quite a while trying to find someone who could help me. There were employees around, but nobody seemed particularly interested in assisting customers. When I finally managed to get someone's attention, the interaction felt rushed, and I got the impression that I was bothering them simply by asking a question. The selection was another disappointment. Several shoes on display weren't available in common sizes, and the employee couldn't tell me whether they had more in the back. I understand that stores run out of inventory, but the lack of helpfulness made an already frustrating experience worse. To top it off, the checkout line moved incredibly slowly despite there being only a handful of customers ahead of me. I don't mind paying a little more to shop locally instead of ordering everything online, but there needs to be some benefit to doing so. If I'm paying full retail prices, I expect decent service and a reasonably organized shopping experience. Overall, a frustrating visit from beginning to end. These shoes and inserts are designed for runners and walkers. They have a machine that is able to measure your foot size in width and length and height of arch as well as pressure points. I am not able to bend over enough to tie shoes so the Sketcher type of slip on shoe is what I was interested in. However they have a slim selection of this type of shoe. Our salesman was very patient and helpful and came up with a solution.

Some nice tactical jackets, but not a wide selection. There was a lot less here than we had seen in the past. We bought some awesome backpacks with metal frames a couple years ago. We have bought tactical gear, clothes, hats, patches, etc. in the past. Always had friendly service too. Just seems like it's changed a lot.
