Embarrassingly bad flowers. I have never been more disappointed in a florists presentation. The flowers that arrived did not look anything like the photo, and the flower quality is sad and wilted. I would understand if the flowers were fresh, and the arrangement not exactly like the photo. But to not look like the online photo and have bad-quality flowers. that says a lot. Compare the photo online, and what was delivered. If you would like flowers delivered, go anywhere else. read more

My daughter recently got a job in the Solon area, so I wanted to send her flowers for her birthday. I like using local businesses as much as possible, so I looked up florists in the area and went directly to Duffy's website to order. I should also note that I ordered a week in advance so timing should not have been a factor. The arrangement that was delivered was nowhere near the picture on the website! I understand that there are going to be slight variations, but the arrangement really does look like something a child would put together. Very disappointed with the arrangement sent from this flower shop via Teleflora and my follow up conversation with this flower shop. They should not be working with Teleflora if they are unable to send the arrangements chosen and ordered on the Teleflora website! When I found out the arrangement that I paid $90 for was not anywhere close to what I ordered, I called Duffy's to find out what happened. I was told Teleflora does not provide Duffy's with enough money to complete the chosen arrangement (although I had to upgrade my order on Teleflora due to the cost of flowers in this area, which I did). I was never contacted by Teleflora that Duffy's was unable to fulfill my order and they would send a substitution, Duffy's told me they received confirmation from Teleflora that the customer was ok with a substitution. What arrived is shown in my photo, two peach roses, a couple of carnations and some filler flowers. My recipient loves the color purple and that's what I thought was going to be sent. I have never experienced this issue before using any of the online flower companies and was certainly shocked and disappointed to see what arrived... I've attached a photo of what was sent. Maybe my experience isn't typical -- I see there are plenty of other good reviews for Duffy's, and I don't like to be overly negative especially with small businesses. But I must say: both my aunt and I were disappointed. I online-ordered an arrangement for my aunt's 93rd birthday. Although it was indeed delivered on time (which I appreciate), it was nothing like the picture or description -- which showed/stated a few different types of small succulents (water once every 2-3 weeks) in a pretty, low-profile square planter box. Instead, my aunt got a couple of depressingly officey-looking nondescript plants in a relatively tall planter that didn't fit the space and would require weekly watering-- and nary a succulent in sight. read more

There are two other reviews for Duffy's that are pretty negative and I just don't understand where they're coming from or what they're seeing! Yesterday was the 3rd special occasion bouquet I have purchased directly from Duffy's. The staff, as always, were busy but friendly, cheerful, and knowledgeable - we even had a good time joking and laughing during my flower pickup. And as for the flowers themselves - beautiful in quality and expertly arranged (see the photos I posted). Are you negative reviewers talking about the right florist? 3 times I have tried to buy roses for special occasions 2 times they had none. One time they had red , I wanted white. On short notice ok. I have been buying flowers from Duffy's for 18 years... Alway paid the over $100 for 2 dozen. I was shocked when I called a flower shop in Maple heights... $52 for 25 wrapped white roses.. even on Valentine's Day. Duffy's you are a rip-off. I would give this place ZERO stars if it allowed me to. I went to Duffy's back in January. My friend and I planned a dinner party for a friend and I wanted to add the extra touch of center pieces to the table. I wanted to make these center pieces myself - I was there for supplies. This very nice woman was helping me pick out the flowers, greens, and correct glassware to use. I wanted squares opposed to vases. I wanted light pink roses with some sort of small muted flower and greens. Nothing too outlandish and she was trying to get it all in order for me she let me know she was not into floral arranging so she would ask the "master". Or whatever. Sure. This so called "master" was AWFUL. She came over completely discredited her co-worker who was doing a fine job helping me. Put my squares back, told me my flowers would not look good. She told me I did not have proper training to assemble anything that would look remotely good and suggested I buy something she had already put together from their case. She offered me some wild flower looking things in baskets. I told her that's not what I wanted. She then told me I should get orange-ish pink-ish color tulips I again told her that is not what I wanted. If she would have listened to me or her co-worker she would have known that. After she continued on her condescending tirade - I interrupted her to tell her she was "very rude and condescending." and informed her I would be taking my business elsewhere. I will NEVER go back. I went to Heinen's in Bainbridge bought 70 dollars worth of flowers and made GORGEOUS center pieces despite my "lack of training" in flower assembly. read more

Sandy from Duffy's Flowers took care of so much more than flowers for my wedding last June. I'm not a big "flower" person. It was a part of my wedding I cared about but I had no idea where to even start when it came to floral arrangements, types of flowers, color schemes, or amount of flowers. I was at a lost and basically just put everything in Sandy's hands to take care of. What she came up with was 1. Reasonably priced and 2. Absolutely gorgeous. She did so much more with my "I have no idea what kinds of flowers I want I like purple ones and baby's breath" than I could have ever hoped for. That's just what she did with the flowers. She also stayed with me and my bridal party while we got ready after spending so much time setting up the flowers in church. She made gorgeous flower crowns for my flower girls and when I mentioned I wanted to add a gem to my bouquet she didn't bat and eye, she just made it happen. Then she held my train as I walked up stairs and stayed with me, my train in her hand, reminding me to "take it slow and take in this moment because it's a big one" all the way until I took my first step on the aisle. She seemlessly became a beautiful part of my day from the flowers she brought to the gentleness in which she handled more than I could have ever asked for. Duffy's Flowers is a great company with a beautiful selection of flowers (and cute soaps!) and it's also a placed filled with wonderful people. read more

The only reason they got one star is because I could not give them lower. Hands down the worse customer service. They got my order wrong two separate times. The first order it wasn't delivered on the expected day. The second time I went through an online site not knowing that they would use Duffy. Well they messed the order up that time by not delivering the teddy bear that was apart of the order. The worse part is that they are very nonchalant about the mistakes they make. I am so disappointed in Duffy's flowers. They did not deliver the flowers to my mother on her birthday as promised. The excuses were rain, prom and no one was home. They could've left them at the front door, where it was covered from the rain. They never called to let me know about this. I had to find out by asking my mother if she received them. Sadly, she said no. When I told them about my disappointment they acted like it was no big deal and they would get the flowers delivered at their convenience the next day. Lovely shop. They have the best selection of silk arrangements, gift items, fresh flowers and gorgeous houseplants/tropical... I bought a beautiful peace lily for myself... so healthy and huge!!! Sent a Xmas arrangement to sister, when received it was nothing like I had originally ordered. After I saw the photo I was upset and embarrassed for the quality of service and product. The very next day the few roses were dead and the pines were equally dried. I called and they said they would send roses out to replace the ones that died rather than just sending a new FRESH arrangement. The driver came and handed 6 roses to my sister in tissue. They looked like those you would cut from your yard. I once again called Duffy florist and they just out and out refused to accept responsibility for their error. I called Avas florist who farmed this order to Duffy and up to this point NO ONE will make good on a gift that was expensive and also upgraded. WHERE IS QUALITY ad THE CUSTOMER SATISFATION!!!!!!!!! Never order from these two companies again. Take my money and never return my call or fix the issue. It would literally take a few minutes to make a fresh display and deliver or ask that they pick it up at your store. If I could give them a minus I would. One star is too high of a rating for Duffy's Flowers. If the flowers from Duffy were in the top shape and what I ordered for a Funeral, why would I waste my time complaining? I don't make it a habbit of going online and complaining about good service. These flowers were just as I described them in my prior post. When my wife received the arrangement she couldn't have been happier. The flowers looked fresh when they arrived and, in fact, lasted a week and a half. Duffy's - Solon, Ohio. Today, the clerk was rude and short tempered. I went to Duffy's as I have for many years. A friend's husband died and I wanted to send a planter or/flowers. When I could not make a decision the clerk was dismissive. I get that there may be other things to do however, I was the only customer in the store. After purchasing flowers with my credit card (~$70.00), I gave her the recepient's address. The clerk asked me for the individual's telephone number. When I mentioned that " I did not have the number on me", the clerk slammed her hands on the desk and gasped as she stated, " THIS IS AN APARTMENT." I responded that there is a manager's office at the apartment building if assistance is required. Was it necessary to be rude? - I don't think so. I had a great experience with Duffy's. I called fromNaples Florida to order a big bouquet of flowers for my Mom's best friend's 70th Birthday. They were great with me on the phone and did exactly as i asked. Duffy's delivered an amazing bouquet in 3 hours. My mother and I were in hospice with my dad and under a lot of stress. We needed the delivery to be easy and right the first time. They sent us an email with a beautiful photo of the bouquet. as soon as it arrived.
