I called to make an appointment as a new patient and new referral from my current dentist. She was very frazzled on the phone responding very rudely when I was giving her my information. I felt like a huge inconvenience to her the whole conversation. They have a no scent/fragrance policy and she was basically practically yelling at me saying that you must follow these instructions because everybody keeps not following them .And then she told me that they do their own x-rays there. She stated that if I had any x-rays previously done that they wouldn't accept them because they will only take their own .And I told her I just had X-rays done a week ago and they were high-quality 3-D x-rays mind you. She said no that if the dentist needs a particular picture of a certain area, then he would have to take them .I then asked her if he will need to take further x-rays, will I be able to decline ?and she said no. If this is true this place is a ripoff.I canceled my appointment because of her rude responses her rude the way that she spoke to me was so unprofessional and I will never refer people to this establishment. .

Cash payment He did xrays and gave us a huge estimate for an extraction which was the diagnosis he came up with. He preferred cash and landed with us on half the price for a cash deal. We venmoed him the money and he assured that he'll do a excellent write up so we can recuperate our payment. So when it came time for an extraction, I went into flight mode but avoidance was just causing more pain. Luckily, Dr Anderson had such a calming demeanor, and they offered sedation, that I was okay. After a kind assistant named Kelly, held my hand (don't judge) I drifted off to sleep only to awake to a sore mouth but the infected tooth gone. Before finding Dr. Kissoondial, I had consulted with two other doctors closer to home and left feeling unheard and discouraged. I ultimately decided to travel four hours to Oakland Oral Surgery, and it was one of the best healthcare decisions I've ever made. From my very first consultation, Dr. Kissoondial took the time to truly listen to my concerns, answer my questions, and thoroughly explain the procedure. His genuine compassion, patience, and kindness immediately put me at ease. To me, a doctor's bedside manner is just as important as their clinical skill, and Dr. Kissoondial excels at both. Because I have several autoimmune conditions that impact my health and healing, I was understandably anxious. Dr. Kissoondial carefully took my medical history into account and treated me as a whole person, not just a patient. That level of care meant more to me than words can express. From the initial phone call to schedule an urgent appointment, to my consultation, procedure, and follow-up care, every experience was exceptional. The office staff was incredibly kind, accommodating, and compassionate, making sure I was seen quickly when I needed help. For the first time in a long time, I truly feel like I am on the road to recovery, and I am so grateful. Thank you, Dr. Kissoondial, and thank you to the entire staff at Oakland Oral Surgery for your outstanding care, professionalism, and kindness. I would call and try to set up an appointment and he acts annoyed that I called. Reminding me that I am a nurse (which I don't know what that has to do with anything) and I should go to see someone else wherever I am. Wow! And to think it's his work I need redone. My bridge came out and a front tooth he did, and charged me $1700, for (which I paid after I had to convince him that he could do it) broke again. Fast forward to today, I needed a crown over the work he had me go to the endodontist for (he used to do them hisself) and then his wife talked to me as if I would present a paying problem. Saying some people don't pay. And telling me the price of $1700 in a way that made me feel like she was insinuating I didn't have it. Huh?! How insulting! What does that have to do with me? I've NEVER not paid him up front. I actually pay out of pocket mostly because I work for myself. And he knows this and had never had a problem with it. Nevertheless, I thought he was a pretty good dentist and I bragged about him constantly over the years because people loved my teeth but now they are all breaking for some reason and he doesn't want to see me anymore. Really!? So nah, I'm good. I'll find another one who still has respect for his long time clients. The old Dr Grodin would've received 5 stars from me but this new person nah. He wasn't even confident in his work as he used to be.
