Twin Cities Furnace Cleaning

Twin Cities Furnace Cleaning

(30 reviews)

We were experiencing very poor air quality in the home, which felt stuffy and heavy. We had to…read moreconstantly replace air filters and frequently encountered dust on items. We looked around and read many reviews. We decided to contact Twin Cities Furnace Cleaning. They did not answer the phone right away but I received a call very quickly. I explained the situation and how we have some allergies, and they took the time to listen and go over all the details. They then recommended Steve who is the go-to guy when it comes to allergies as well as other things related. We set up an appointment with Steve, and Steve arrived early. He set up his equipment and was very mindful about making a mess as well as getting things dirty and wet. He took his time to explain as well as show me what was going on and answer all my questions. Because of allergies Steve took his time and made sure each vent was cleaned as best as possible. The things I saw in the ductwork were scary, which had built up over the years of this property. After he was done, we swapped the air filter and within 20 minutes of running, I could smell the difference in the air. The air felt lighter and did not have a heavy feel. Also, my air purifiers were not reading off the charts anymore. Steve did a fantastic job and I would highly recommend him as well as Twin Cities Furnace Cleaning. I ended up getting their Ultimate cleaning or whatever the highest one was, and compared to other places, it was cheap. The price you pay for what you get is a bargain. It ended up being $541.00 with tax and worth every penny.

My claim was declined. The insurance company required unrealistic things like a photo of the space prior to incident showing the hose in place. Who takes pictures of their furnace? This resulted in a costly last-minute repair to my ceiling.

The tech arrived on time, but only spent about 5 minutes looking at the furnace. Told us it was too old for him to work on, we need it replaced. Charged us full price for a service call anyway. I could have told them how old the furnace was before they came out, and they have worked on our furnace a few years ago. I think they should have at least given us a discount because he was only there a few minutes. He was also supposed to send a quote for replacement, never received it.

My husband and I very much recommend Howell Heating! Zack was very professional. I called at 8:00…read morea.m., explaining that our air conditioning unit had just gone out. Of course, the next few days were going to hit 88-degrees! Zack mentioned he had a cancellation for an install and came out that afternoon for a Friday install of both the air conditioning unit and our furnace (which was needed). We live in a townhome, and the utility room is extremely small, making it a difficult install, but Zack handled it like a champ! Everything works great, and we are so thankful! Great work, Howell Heating!!

He came out the next day after my furnace was red-tagged. I had an HVAC technician from a competitor perform to a tune-up on my 30-year-old furnace. Unfortunately, my furnace was red-tagged because it was a safety hazard to operate after several of cracks were found. This could lead to carbon monoxide poisoning. In addition, the flame rolled out from a block heat exchanger, which it was not supposed to do. I received a quote to replace the furnace from a competitor. I called my in-law for help because we are first-time homeowners, my husband was at work, and neither of us knew anything about the HVAC system. My in-law called Howell Heating and explained the situation. Zack gave us a quote, which is more affordable by $2000 and includes removal and disposal of old equipment, rehooking of existing electrical/ductwork, equipment, labor, and materials, and includes a 1-year labor/10-year part warranty, as well as 20-year heat exchanger warranty. Zack was also patient in explaining the differences between a single and two-stage furnace. We have a rambler that is 1500 sqft. Zack replaced a unit similar to what we had. He did not upsell or push products. Overall, I did not feel obligated to lock into a sale compared to other competitors who may be pushy salesmen. On the day of the installation, Zack arrived promptly. He had several large cloth rags to protect my floors. He got right to work. Within two hours, I have heat again. He cleaned up his work area. I will definitely call Zack next time we have a heating or AC issue.
