I have had Ducks perform some trimming and invited them back to take a tree down. First let me say they respond to texts quickly. Secondly my first call to them was done quickly because we needed to get a well drilling truck in place a Ducks came out quickly and for a great price. I had him give me a price on a tree next to my home at that time. A couple months later I texted him and asked to get it done. No hurry just get us on the schedule. 1 week later that tree is down. Cannot recommend Ducks enough. Called them on Thursday for a quote to remove a wind damaged tree in a tricky spot for removal. Came for the estimate on Friday and told us he would come Monday or Tuesday. On Saturday morning he sent a text asking if we would be open to him getting it done Saturday morning, we agreed. Carlos and the whole crew are awesome! We had our own five (huge) trees, and three neighbor's trees trimmed. Our trees had several really big branches removed, several medium size branches removed, and then general trimming up of the trees. From our neighbor's trees we had one large, one medium, and 2-3 smaller branches removed that overhung our yard. The crew work like a well oiled machine. They cleaned up everything. They moved the swing set to get at the neighbor's tree and then moved it back into place. The whole crew were personable. A few of the guys had really good senses of humor making jokes about how hard they were working and such. They even rehung our tire swing! We asked if they'd rehang the swing if we got the rope. Go to an arborist supplier to get the right kind of rope!! There's a store near O'hare that has the right rope for tire swings and such. It's worth the drive and expense to do it right. Carlos' bid came in a few hundred higher than the other company we were considering. But these guys were the better choice. Carlos is honest and straight forward. We have a tree that has a natural crease that makes a path for rain to drain down. That area gives the impression that the tree may be unhealthy or weak. It's not. We had an arborist out to asses our trees when we bought the property. They told us that the tree is fine and healthy (but our neighbor's tree was not). We always ask about that tree when having tree work done. Scammers or those who don't know their business tell us the tree needs to come down. The honest guys who know their stuff tell us exactly what the arborist said, that the tree is fine and the moisture is from a natural drainage path along the trunk. Carlos passed the test with flying colors. Duck tree trimming is our new go-to company for all things tree related! read more

Same as another reviewer that their prices were far less (in some cases half) of what other companies quoted. They are licensed and bonded and carry insurance as well. Quoted on a Wednesday for one tree and two days later the had the tree down, made into mulch and stump grinned within the hour. They were careful but quick and falling the tree and cleaned up any traces of a mess before leaving. They also left me with the wood chips as I requested and dropped them in my driveway carefully. Would recommend Carlos and his crew to anyone that asked for tree removal services! read more

Great company! Very reasonable. Crew showed up on time and got started right away. Got rid of a nasty dirty pear tree in a small yard. God love that crew because they had to deal with not just half rotted stanky pears but lots of wasps but also a very "pleasant" (insert sarcasm) next door neighbor yelling racial slurs about their citizenship. I had called to see about a tree removal since I had two trees that were all dried up. So I requested a quote. I got a call back about 15 mins later and he physically showed up same day and gave me a quote. His prices were the BEST I had recv'd!!!!! We went ahead and approved for them to come and they came and did the job with stump removal TWO days later. They showed up 1-2 hours ahead of the scheduled time. And left everything CLEAN! I don't know where to start, Carlos and his crew do AMAZING work at a VERY reasonable price. I have already referred his company to several friends and family members. I did quote this job out to several competitive companies who quoted double, some triple! They went above and beyond and we couldn't be happier. I work full time and it's hard to make personal calls but Carlos replied to my texts in a timely fashion. I will be using his company for years and years to come. I HIGHLY recommend him. I called Duck's Tree and Stump Service on 6/29/16 to verify if they did tree/shrub pruning and to see if they worked in the Geneva area as my mother needed some help. The same day that I called they came out and provided a very competitive bid compared to some of the other companies. They stated they would do the trimming, clean up and haul all of the debris away so my mother decided to go with Duck's. The night before they were to do the job they called my mother to verify that she would be home. Two people showed up the next day at 8 am and completed the job in a prompt & professional manner and my mother was very pleased with their service and will definitely call Duck's again in the future for other landscaping needs. I found this co on Yelp, sent them photos and a description and they were able to give me a quote over email. I was nervous Bc their cost was less than half what others wanted to charge, 225 vs others at 600, for a large crabapple tree and a tree leaning into a fence, both stumps removed as well. So glad I went with them! Showed up on time, no surprise costs, friendly workers, and cleaned up beautifully. They were careful around my neighbors fences, and did such a great job. I called Ducks Tree & Stump Service based upon the previous reviews to remove dead trees around our commercial property. Carlos responded quickly to my call, sent a very reasonable quote within a few hours and scheduled the work to be done within a few days! The men arrived early in the morning on the scheduled day and made fast work of cutting down all the trees, some not so easy to get to. They were careful to block off any areas necessary for the safety of our employees and did a wonderful job cleaning up the site.
