You see, Glenn Wayne Bakery is an outstanding spot in Bohemia that you can acquire plenty of delicious baked goods. Though the focal point (other than maybe the "Oops" boxes) has to be their donuts. They will put almost any other specialty donut shop to shame (Dunkin' can't even be in the same sentence). But this review isn't about GWB. We're focusing solely on that new Selden spot that features just Glenn's Donuts. The interior of this location itself is of decent size with plenty of donut options just like at the OG bakery. You'll notice different prepackaged combinations with an assortment of tasty choices as well as some non-donut baked goods. Best part is everything is made at the Glenn Wayne Bakery in Bohemia that morning and then delivered here. Plus you get the same friendly staff you'd find over at Glenn Wayne (plus maybe you'll actually see Glenn!). If there's any negative about Glenn's Donuts it would be that you just can't make your own selections. Because they aren't made in-house that would be a tough feat to uphold, but if you consider Glenn's Donuts a satellite location of the original Glenn Wayne with the same great taste, then you can't fault them for this. Overall for me, I'm close enough to the original bakery that I actually don't see myself hitting up Glenn's Donuts as often (unless I'm by my in-laws), but if you know of Glenn Wayne and do live in the Selden area, you better get your donuts because you can't go wrong with Glenn's!

I finally ordered the 5 pack and chose these flavors: 'Cotton Candy', 'Strawberry Crumb', 'Chocolate Banana', 'American Dreamsicle' and 'Italian Rainbow Cookie'. I loved the way each donut was wrapped in plastic and placed so intentionally in its packaging - a sleek gold-colored box with a sticker bearing her logo (a 'C' for Chana that doubles as a donut with purple frosting on it and sprinkles). My boyfriend and I did a "tasting" together trying small ¼ pieces of each flavor. The 'Cotton Candy' (pink frosting with swirls of blue) had a subtle cotton candy flavor but was very sweet, the 'Strawberry Crumb' (bright red) was tart, delicious and one of my favorites. The 'Rainbow Italian Cookie' (covered in tiny green, red & white sprinkles) tasted just like the real cookie; so enjoyable with a pronounced almond flavor. The 'American Deamsicle' (covered in blue, red & white round sprinkles) tasted like orange and was pretty good. My absolute favorite was the 'Chocolate Banana' (a striking yellow with brown swirls), which had a more tolerable sweetness than the others. Overall, I enjoyed the donuts: the taste, the uniqueness and the colors. My only feedback is that I would like the donuts less sweet, so it is easier to eat a whole donut. The Cheese Claw shredded as we cut into it, and as you can see from the picture, was basically empty. The Boston Cream had the consistency of bread. All the donuts that were filled only had filling one side of the donut and were dry. They weren't tender or fresh. I'm questioning how long these donuts have been sitting on the shelf. The only thing that was fresh and delicious was the Rye with seeds. Great crust and soft, fresh bread. This used to be a great bakery but over the years the quality and consistency has really gone down.
