Donuts are good, their system and customer service is some of the worst I've experienced. Not worth it at all. Over the course of an hour in line I was only the second person to actually place an order - probably watched 30 people just give up and leave. The donuts are good but the service is terrible. Waited 15 minutes on my food while no other customers were in the store and all of the workers were just standing around. I asked for my food multiple times and the workers said they would "check on it". I come to Hilton Head all of the time but I won't be coming back to Duck Donuts. read more

Duck Donuts is a really cool take on donuts. You choose everything that goes onto the donut and then they prepare it right in front of you. We tried several of their popular flavors and were very happy. It's a little on the pricey side, but the family is super nice and the donuts taste great! We'll be back here some day. read more

Went to DDs last week on HH first time their, first one in as they opened. Ordered a dozen for myself and a dozen for a friend. One girl put the toppings on one dozen did the right job, the other girl did not get the toppings right and a poor job, had a could not care less attitude. My experience on Tuesday 5/30/17 unsatisfactory. The donuts were messy and the staff was not curteous. One of people behind the counter had no gloves on and was making the donuts. How gross. Place was very messy. I lost my appetite. The employees were cursing and very rude people. The one who appeared to be the manager in a red shirt was texting in the back for quite some time. Donuts were excellent but not warm as they usually are. I ordered on line and when I walked up there were people standing outside waiting for their order. I asked if anyone knew the process for picking up their donuts. They all said no. I saw through the door there was a table blocking the door so I knew that meant no one was allowed in so I assumed when an order was ready someone would bring an order to the table and call you out.....I saw them box up several orders and saw the person go towards the back. Assuming he was going to pick up the donuts and bring to the table. No. He went back and continued to make more donuts. I had to open the door and yell inside asking them how do you know when your order was ready. He says by the pick up time on your ticket.......I said my time had passed. He checks the orders and one was mine so he brought it to the table. There needs to be a sign telling people what the pick up process is. read more

These are difficult times and some small businesses may not be as equipped to organize and open while following the prescriptions for safety. Ducks donuts are amazing but their system is unorganized and they failed miserably from a customer service perspective. We ordered online and arrived when our order was suppose to be ready. We were gathered out front with a dozen other people you mostly did the same. A man occasionally came to the front and asked people in the crowd to yell out their name, without regard to when orders were to be finalized, and without acknowledging who he had heard. He would disappear for 5 min and return with an order. After waiting for 30 minutes after my order was due and having called my name out several times without acknowledgment I made my way directly in front and called may name out loudly. I was ignored and he came forward and asked for others to call out there name. Eventually he came back with some orders and I asked him if he heard my name and he snapped at me saying he has it. I asked that he acknowledge us so we would know and he told me to "get out of his face". I was not in his face, had a mask and was only asking that he acknowledge his customers. We have been to several Duck Donuts before and been pleased. Very disappointed with this location. There was long line and only three employees working. They were clearly short staffed. No sense of urgency with the employees working. We left and found another local donut shop. read more

Melt in your mouth warm donuts! I tried the blueberry with lemon, blueberry with Oreo and chocolate with sprinkles. The blueberry with lemon was absolutely fantastic. No artificial flavors at all. Interesting Experience. Was behind one person at the counter. Quickly it was my turn and the employee behind the counter glanced at me, the walked off. Stood there for 5 minutes before I was even acknowledged, no, "be right with you," no, "I see you there and acknowledge that you area human being." When I was waited on, the guy behaved as if I had slapped his grandmother. The guy at the other end who glazed the donuts was equally as sullen. On the positive side, the donuts were delicious. In retrospect, all of the staff (the three I observed) behaved as if they had engaged in a bitter argument just before opening. You can do better, guys, terrible customer service. read more

We were excited to try this place after looking at their website. The idea of made fresh cake Donuts with a ton of topping options sounded great. We pulled up and saw there was a small line outside which turned out to be only because they were only doing takeout from the door. I ordered 20 Donuts that had only a few repeat Donuts via their app. We placed the order at 10:18am and finally came ready at 10:53am. Meanwhile about 20 customers had placed and received their orders. There was one hard working girl running the orders from the kitchen and taking orders. This delay was frustrating, but my biggest issue was that Donuts cost $1.80 each which I thought were very expensive. When we got the order the Donuts were really small. The dozen size box was big and when I opened up the box, the Donuts' small size was exacerbated by the large box. Finally, the cake donut was quite ordinary and nothing stood out about the cake flavor. The toppings were decent, but only one donut ultimately stood out to me and it was my take on a snickers bar with chocolate frosting, peanuts, salted caramel sauce drizzle. Everyone in my group agreed that $1.80 for such a small donut was excessively high. read more

We went at 1:30pm on a Thursday, there was only one other customer in the place and the employees were to busy in their phones and talking amongst themselves to work. Out of 5 employees I only saw 2 actually work. A person that came in after us walked out. The donuts were okay- we got maple bacon, cinnamon sugar, peanut butter, and chocolate. The French Vanilla double latte was great, and the iced coffee was alright. What disappointed me was the customer service- we tried to call in advance to place an order, but no one answered. We drove there, it wasn't busy, and we received no greeting when we walked in. Based on what I've heard of other Duck Donut locations, I expected friendly conversation, customer service, and a fun atmosphere. They messed up the order when it was entered on the computer by only entering 11 donuts which completely baffled the girl making the donuts. They then expected us to remember the one that was missing and had thrown away our original order form. We picked another donut & I'm still not convinced the order was entirely accurate.
