Yay!!! We are returning in July 2023. We plan on relaxing, visiting the military museum, and enjoying the July 4th parade. We can't wait. This is our favorite KOA !!!

We stopped here on our way through and again on our way back. The campground is clean & quiet. The spots are either great (by the river) or terrible (along side of the bathroom). We had a very nice spot on our first stay - 5 stars. Unfortunately, I think we had the worst spot on the second trip. We have a 30amp RV and were given a 50 amp spot. When I asked about this at the office, I was handed a converter. The woman working kind of chuckled when I asked about a better spot. We were closed in on both sides by sage (hello allergies) close enough that the slide barely had room to extend. Would I stay there again? Not sure. Only if we could reserve one of the nicer spaces.

This has been my favorite KOA I've stayed at so far. We didn't get to stay in a site on the river but our site was still great. Very roomy and quite. The sites on the river are gorgeous. Staff was very nice as well as the other travelers we met.

What an awesome place. We are KOA members and have stayed at many across the country. This was top notch. Cindy & Howard were the best hosts that a traveling family could have asked for. Not only did they map out our Yellowstone route for us, they explained details that only locals would know. Super helpful and friendly! Everything about this KOA was perfect. Clean, fun for the kiddos, awesome staff- cannot say enough about our positive experience! We hope to return again sometime!

Everything about our stay was just wonderful. We stayed at 3 other spots during our trip and this was hands down the best experience of the 4 (which I expected, because I love KOAs!). The staff was so friendly and helpful- even helped us figure out how to make sure my husband's CPAP machine could be plugged in although we were staying in a teepee. Great price and everything was super clean. Our kids loved the playground and indoor pool/arcade. KOAs for the win once again.

A quaint little campground tucked away in a really small city. Came here for one night and we were able to enjoy the silence which was a nice treat after coming straight from Yellowstone and the Tetons which were packed. The employees were all very nice and our site was level and spacious. The views of the river were really nice. The pool was indoors and very large and there was a nice playground next to it. Would have been really nice for kids. It was a little boring on a Sunday night but what else can one expect in the middle of Wyoming. Showers were clean but the doors were really short which made it awkward when someone else came into the bathroom. Would stay again if in the area!

I only wish we had more time to spend relaxing here, as we spent our days in Yellowstone & Grand Tetons.

AMAZING!!!! This has to be one of the best campgrounds…read moreI've ever seen. Beautiful campsites, beautiful location, the showers are very clean and are individual rooms which include a sink and toilet. They're even have nice light wood plank paneling. The campground includes tent sites and RV sites with cabins available. It's beautifully wooded with lots of shade and a stream runs along the back of the property. (The view from the stream is breathtaking.). The young woman at the office was so nice and very helpful. There's a nice gift store that offers very unique jewelry and other items that you don't find in most campground gift stores. They also sell ice. We highly recommend checking it out.

Awesome. We got a lodge room. It is much bigger than it looks from the outside. There is a front…read moreand back door to the room. The front is where you park and unload. The back door has a bench facing the mountains for watching wildlife and the beautiful scenery. It's more like a small cabin with a vaulted ceiling, two queen beds, a very large wood table (for bags, boxes and other supplies), microwave, refrigerator, a leather chair and a small kitchen table for two ( which my man is using as a desk. The bathroom is HUGE. The sink area is smaller than those hotel rooms that have that large flat area outside the bathroom where the sink and mirror are located. There is about 5 feet of open space so you don't have to put you face near the toilet when you dry yourself off. The beds are super clean and super comfortable. The Ranch Brand is all over the room. On the headboards, back of the chairs, and even on the mirror. Everything is made from wood, no plastic, cloth or pleather chairs and tables. We checked in late, so we haven't yet taken advantage of the rest of the property. There are some 'trails' or walk around the property. The Walkabout Loop goes around the whole property, which is right next to the Wind River. There is a playground and firepit. They have 10 tent sites and 55 RV sites. You can pull through, pull in, back out your RV. They even have some spaces for 'big rigs'. There are also 4 cabins as well, so they have whatever level of comfort you're looking for. Can't wait to come back, maybe stay in a cabin and take a horse ride.

Paid $12 per adult (prices went up slightly this year but WELL worth it in my opinion). The gentleman who runs the place was incredibly kind and lent me his personal towel as I forgot to pack my own. The water temperature was 92 degrees. The pool was quiet, only a few families and couples. Probably the most unique thing we did on our vacation. Tips: - the last 10 miles of the road is unpaved through a mountain and quite bumpy - I get motion sickness so we drove quite slowly - bring your own towel

You'll travel south from Jackson to the Hoback Junction, traffic circle 3/4 turn. Take US 191 12 miles until you reach gravel/dirt Granite Creek Road taking a left. Do not go by the Yelp address listed as it's incorrect, and I haven't been able to find the specific address. Be prepared for an 11 mile bumpy ride while viewing gorgeous Granite Creek running through the Gros Ventura Mountains in the Bridger Teton National Forest. At the end of the road Granite Springs pool awaits you. Check for current pricing before you go, only open in summer (by car) and winter (by snowmobile, skis or dog sled). Also, important to note, you'll have no cell service within this area. Soak your cares away while enjoying the gorgeous Mountain View and the evergreen forest.

This creek is a scenic pornfest. Looking at these visuals will release surplus surges of…read moreendorphins beyond the receptive range of most city folks. In other words, this creek is gorgeous--you must see it. I came to Jackson for a retreat over the weekend with Junior League CARE Fair directors and chairpersons. Every time we left and returned to our cabin, we got to enjoy this view. We even had the opportunity to walk alongside the creek. It was very easy and the view will vanish every worry you have. There are several well made bridges that you can walk/drive over as well. Area is very clean with crisp blue water. It didn't look too deep, but it was so perfect that to even dip my feet in the water seemed offensive to mother nature. Not to say I wasn't tempted. Overall, I probably wouldn't drive 5 hours just for this one creek, but the surrounding contains so many scenic opportunities that you have to hit up this place if you're in the area. You just have to. Happy travels, my Yelpers!

Situated deep within the Gros Ventre Mountains east of Jackson and Hoback Junction, Granite Creek -…read morethe campground, the waterfall, and the hot springs - are pure Wyoming outdoors magic. Sure, the mountains here don't captivate you with their granite-tipped titillation, and there aren't the glacial lakes that you'll be mesmerized by in Grand Teton National Park, nor will you mistake this area for the magnificent Wind River Mountains, the Bighorns, or the Snowy Range, but my oh my, Granite Creek is one pretty, pretty piece of nature. The USFS campground is one of the best I've found in the northern Rockies, with great sites overlooking the creek and sheltered by pines and awash in wildflowers from mid-June to August. The Granite Creek Falls are powerful to behold: not ethereal like Yosemite or awesome like Niagra or Multnomah, but what they lack in vertical elevation and volume they make up for in up-close-and-personal intimacy. You can literally dip your toes in the raging white torrents that fall from above into a creek that is so pure and clean that moose, elk, bear, and cranes simply love to stay here. You'll also find a superb CCC hot springs up the road, where you and your friends/family can soak in bliss while enjoying easy access to the Gros Ventre wilderness a mere mile or so up the main trail that follows the creek to its source. If you are in the Jackson Hole area, a side trip to Granite Creek - on dirt and gravel roads well maintained by the Forest Service - offers you another glance at Wyoming's wild lands that you won't find at Grand Teton. The falls are a great side trip, as are the hot springs, and the campground is well suited for car campers and RVers alike. All in all, this is a part of the Cowboy State that I never tire of seeing, season in, season out. Who needs to stay in Jackson for hundreds of bucks when affordable, adorable places like this are so close and enticing?
