We got into Dubois late and didn't have a reservation. We were able to get a room at the Trails End. The rooms are rustic-quaint and spotless! The gentleman who checked me in took the time to explain how everything worked and pointed out quirky features that could have been frustrating (door lock) had I not known. They have everything in the room you need, and for the first time ever, I needed a mending kit, and there was one in the amenities basket in the bathroom. Thanks Trails End! read more

We stayed here on our way to camping in the (incredible) Wind Rivers Range. The rooms are adorable, clean, cozy cabins with very thoughtful provided toiletries and additions (USB chargers near bed, razor/shave cream, fan, etc). The bed was BEYOND soft and comfortable. We called and reserved our room over the phone night-of, after a long delirious drive trying to find forest service camping near Jackson which had proved way too busy and packed with humans. The owner Scott was hilarious on the phone, quick to crack jokes. TO DO: 1. Go crack some beers on their riverside deck, it was so peaceful listening to the Wind River and sitting under the stars with the fairy lights. 2. Pet sweet boy BLUE in the lobby (many times), while staring at the cool arrowheads and decor 3. Grab a Cowboy Benedict for breakfast at the Cowboy Cafe, just down the street mmmm 4. Get into the Wind Rivers Range I want to come back and see more of the town. Would easily stay at Trail's End again. Don't sell it!!! read more

We loved (almost) everything about this quaint, throwback motel. Knotty pine paneling. Super clean rooms, smaller than what most people like today, but comfortable. The owner was super friendly and helpful, welcoming us with a smile and a visit from their hound dog! Coffees in room, water, good TV. THANKFULLY it wasn't until the last minute of our stay that I saw the sign on the Gun Shop expressing their political viewpoint and that any Biden supporter should walk away, "too stupid to own a gun. " I just read the Trip Advisor review depicting the scary views of the owners. Sad. read more

One of the cleanest hotels/motels on this earth. No-nonsense room- spotless, comfortable, strong WiFi. Scott was kind enough to stay up to welcome us for a late (11PM) check-in. The perfect stop in Dubois en route to Jackson, WY and Grand Tetons. Pleasant motel terrace area sits right on the river. Check out the giant Jackalope at the Exxon across the street. read more

Had to change plans as a result of military duty and owners retained deposit after initially stating they would return the deposit.

When I found this place, I had originally been looking for a cabin to rent. I mean, what's a trip to the mountains without a cabin? When I couldn't find what I wanted in a cabin, I started looking for alternatives. This place came up as highly recommended PLUS I liked that people were saying that it was family-owned/ran. We arrived to a very pristine, cozy property. True, the place was built decades ago, but everything is updated/ renovated and CLEAN! They had a nice-sized flat screen TV with satellite; free WiFi,(important for our techy family); in-room coffee; mini-fridge; microwave and even bath robes!! I was impressed, to say the least, as I wasn't expecting so many tiny details. The property was immaculate, along with the deck area that sat next to the river. The scenery was fantastic too! The couple who runs the place is so very nice too -- made me feel good that our family could support their family business! I'm giving this a 5 rating, because, I can't think of anything that they could do to improve. A person simply cannot go to Dubois, WY and expect a Marriot -- this is cowboy country and if you're going to embrace the area and culture, this is an excellent place to do that! read more

Nice setting, but expensive rooms, zero amenities, poor WiFi, paper thin walls. Equivalent, more reasonably priced lodging nearby. Watch Out for bait 'n switch here! We paid as instructed using PayPal, but $165/night is for the cheapest room (No View). Ended up paying $100 more/night for room overlooking deck and stream. Property hasn't been updated, is currently for sale; no wonder it had rooms available when most places in town had No Vacancy. Avoid this place. read more

Regardless of what other reviewers said, the price was very affordable - we got a two bedroom suite with a river view for much less than anywhere else. Owners are incredibly friendly and helpful. Views were amazing - we were right on the river, there's a patio area with plenty of seating, and you can walk right down to the river. Dubois is a unique little town too, we really enjoyed our stay here! read more

This sweet little rustic motel located in Dubois WY is my go-go place when I visit. It's exceptionally clean and well appointed. Scott and Tammy take pride in making sure guests are comfortable. I wouldn't think of staying anywhere else. I love it!!!! read more

Mediocre at best. Rooms are "rustic" and cramped, mainly because they've crammed in some modern items like big tvs and a fridge and microwave. We got a "suite" because we are my mom, myself, my teen and my two littles traveling together. The rooms adjoin through the bathroom, which was awkward to say the least. Shower was iffy: hot and cold, pressure, no pressure. Wifi didn't work in our room. Beware their cancellation policy on reservations. They are serious about the 5 days. They'll charge your card. read more

I had made reservations for August 7th-9th on August 2nd at around 8pm. When I made the reservations I was charged through PayPal for the entirety of what would have been my stay, which I thought was odd because no other time have I ever paid in full before even checking into a lodging establishment. Not even 36 hours later, August 4th at 10:30am, I called to cancel the reservation. The man did not start by telling me his name so unfortunately I can't say who he was, did not inform me of the cancellation policy only or what it entailed. My bad for not checking on the website while booking. He didn't even ask about my stay- the dates, confirmation number, not even my name. He told me he knew who I was because his caller ID showed him. Today I noticed that I still had no email stating my cancellation was successful and I was not refunded at all. I called this afternoon at 3:30pm and talked to Tammy, I explained my situation and she said she would call back after looking into it. She called me at 3:57pm explaining that I would have had to cancel the reservation seven days prior to booking to be eligible for a refund. I asked why that would apply to my situation since I hadn't even booked the reservation seven days prior to the stay. She told me she needed to look into things more and call me back. I get a phone call from Tammy at 4:17pm only to have her tell me that there was no record of me ever cancelling. I do not understand why that information wouldn't be caught the first time she looked up my information or why there were different reasons each time I talked to Tammy for me not being refunded for the nights and days I did not stay at the Trails End. What a disappointment this experience was. read more

LOVED this place! It's absolutely beautiful, spotless, completely restored -- a vintage motel on the river. We had seven people in two rooms, with a bathroom in the middle. Made for some tricky bathroom situations, but it was worth it to be in such a lovely location. We went to sleep listening to the river just outside our window, and enjoyed beautiful views. We will definitely stay here again. Owners were friendly and helpful. Kids had a great time here. read more

We very much enjoyed our stay. The room was clean, had everything we needed, the decor was appealing with a western theme, and the bathroom was renovated. The staff was especially helpful. I had forgotten my wedding band on the night table, and only realized it after we left and we were a few hours away. I called the hotel in a panic, but the person I spoke with found the ring and promptly mailed it back to me. My ring was waiting for me when I got home. I highly recommend this place for the room and the people. Thank you! read more
