I went to Dr. Desai to get some major work done and it was great because it was right down the street to where I used to work. He is friendly, very informative/knowledgeable without being too pretentious, and his two dental assistants are awesome! I went here today to get the rest of my front crown put in after a couple of months with just a temporary. I just got laid off from my job after that visit, and my benefits were no longer viable. So Dr. Desai, staying persistent and on me to finish the job up on my tooth, did not charge me for finishing it. I was truly grateful and appreciative as the crown turned out perfect. Side note: I brought all 3 of my kids to this appt. and the dental assistant helped watched them as I was getting the crown put in. It was no more than an hour. Even after the appt was done, Dr. Desai made it a point to make sure I knew to some and at least get my cleanings done even without benefits, cleanings are only $90. I definitely will come back again and since service is everything to me, I highly reccomend this dental office to anyone in the area or not. Woot, woot for Dublin Plaza Dental! read more

His direct site is http://dublinplazadental.com/ My husband and I have been going to this place for years. Dr. Desai is very nice and the staff is great. Private Practice/Family Owned. They always work with me when it comes to scheduling. I love that the office itself is above and beyond, clean and new. I know that Dr. Desai loves him work and likes to see clean teeth and gums. Floss or be flossed! I had quite a bit of work done on my teeth. A bridge, cavitiesssss, and cleanings. It was fast and not as much pain as I expected. I actually wish insurance would cover more than 2 deep cleanings a year. My last dental office rushed my work, was always in a hurry. I also brought my little sister in for dental work. She is from out of state. He's a great dentist! As I said I give this place 5 gumbo stars....Highly recommended! read more

Dr Desai came through for me in my hour of need when I couldn't find another dentist at 2PM on a Friday before a 3-day holiday weekend. He took me on referral from my dentist and was able to schedule me a same-day last-minute appointment to extract an infected tooth that was extremely painful. That in itself was worth five stars for me, but it doesn't end there. Dr Desai ensured I was comfortable and informed throughout the entire procedure. He performed the surgery exceptionally well, Extracting my crumbling tooth whole and performing the bone graft and closing me up expertly. Everything I could have wanted from a routine surgery, with the gold lining of accommodating a last minute, Friday night emergency. I wholeheartedly recommend Dr Desai and Dublin Plaza Dental. read more

I was referred to Dr. Desai by a co-worker who tried many many dentist in the area before finding Dr. Desai. I am always a little nervous to try out new doctors/dentist, but Dr. Desai was VERY through and explained everything and anything about my teeth. He explained to me in detail where I had old cavities, new cavities, and areas of concern to continually watch. He even showed me on the x-rays which were a great visuals. Personally, I like to be very active in my heath care and understand and check everything, and Dr Desai made it very easy to understand. Making appointments is very easy and the office is very flexible. I had a dental emergency (cracked crown) and they were able to squeeze me in that day...which was fantastic/nice because it was the day before Thanksgiving. Everyone in the office is super sweet and they all remember there patients on a personal level. I have moved to San Francisco and still make the hour drive to see Dr. Desai...he is the BEST!!! read more

This is my first ever review on Yelp! I was so impressed with Dr.Desai and his team that I had to share it!! I was referred to Dr.Tejas Desai from a close friend of mine and I must thank her for doing that. This has been my first experience with a dentist in the US. I have to mention that Dr. Desai is extremely patient in explaining to you in full detail about the problem with the tooth/ teeth. He goes out of his way to make you understand what the issue is and how best it can be resolved. He is very gentle and is a master at his job! makes the procedure absolutely painless! His staff is very friendly and accommodating be it with the appointments or taking x-rays. In all, a great place - clean and modern. Dr.Desai advises on dental hygiene practices like flossing and cleaning regularly and it's only wise to follow it coming from a knowledgeable person like him!. Dr. Desai- I'd like to appreciate you & your staff for the interest you take in the well being of your patients. I'd definitely recommend Dublin Dental Plaza! read more

I typically visit Dublin Plaza Dental for cleanings and an occasional filling. But I really like that Dr. Desi has new equipment and low dosage radiation for X-ray. This is one of the main reasons I chose to Dublin plaza dental. Dr. Desi is also very good at explaining your dental health, what your options are in case you need fillings or other work ( have been talking to him about invisalign). He and his staff are easy to get along with. read more

My wife and I have been going to Dr. Desai for years since he first opened his office in Dublin Plaza. Although we live in Hayward, we decided to continue with Dr. Desai as our Dentist primarily because of his commitment to his patients. He has an imaculate office with state of the art equipment and great assistents. He spends quite a bit of time explaing procedures in detail and shares his knowledge about any issue without even you knowing which question to ask. We have also started taking my son and daughter (age 3 & 5) to Dr. Desai for teeth cleanings and consultation. My daughter, who is typcially terrified of going to the dentist, always ask when she can go back and get her teeth cleaned. Because of her confidance, my son is also now brave enough to sit in the big chair and have Dr. Desai clean and inspect his teeth. Since my wife and I both work, Dr.Desai is also always willing to be very flexible with his schedule. We can call his office any time and schedule or re-schedule appoitments if an emergancy arises. Overall, I highly recommend Dr.Desai for any type of dental treatment. I believe driving 30 minutes to just to see a dentist should say a lot about Dr.Desai's expertise and the quality of his office. read more

I was recently traveling to Pleasanton for business and my temporary crown fell out. It was almost 6pm and I ran in the front door as they were finishing their last patient for the day Dr. Desai was very friendly and stayed after hours to reglue the crown. I was very grateful for his kindness. I was also very impressed with his attention to detail, meticulous work and wealth of knowledge as a dentist. read more

5 stars hands down for Dr. Desai and his team! Dr. Desai is very knowledgable and caring. He takes his time and treats every patient as an individual. He explains his plan of care and his rationale in detail and in words I can actually understand. His office is always clean and his equipment is state of the art. His dental assistants and administrative staff is very friendly and helpful at all times. I have had a variety of procedures done at this office, teeth cleaning, a root canal, chipped tooth and a year and a half long Invisalign treatment and have had nothing but exceptional experiences. I can highly recommend Dublin Plaza Dental! read more

Dr. Desai is a very accomodating dentist, always ready to talk on the phone about a problem, and he explains everything he's doing in great detail... often many times. However, my experience here has sometimes been like buying a used car; before I got in the chair, I was already hearing about teeth whitening, Invisalign, mouthguards... and the spiel is repeated each time, regardless of whether I've explained that I don't want these procedures or not. It got to the point where I wasn't sure what I needed or what I didn't. I don't know if this was just the doctor being overly helpful, or an attempt to 'gold plate' my treatment. Also, avoid the first appointment of the morning; I've been stuck sitting in my car for 15 minutes after my appointment was about to start waiting for someone to show up. The experience is mostly pleasant, but not perfect. read more

I first went to Dr Desai over a year ago when I had an emergency situation. I always had a fear of dentist appointments and went many years without seeing a dentist. A filling from my childhood had fallen out a few years prior and I didn't have it looked at since there was no pain and didn't seem like a problem... after all that time the tooth eventually became very painful and felt like it deteriorated to the point that I honestly felt like the tooth was a goner. I finally bit the bullet and went in to Dr Desai when the pain was no longer manageable. He performed a root canal on the tooth, and also performed a procedure that included a titanium rod (if I recall correctly) and filling to save the tooth. Otherwise it would've needed to be pulled since it had zero structural integrity by that time. The tooth has held up great with no problems over a year now. In general my teeth and gums were in bad shape from many years of avoiding dentist visits, and Dr Desai has helped me to improve my situation over this time through frequent checkups and monitoring. He has been very good at communicating during my visits so I can understand any procedures he's performed and know the condition of my teeth / gums, pointing out problem areas to focus on at home. Overall I've been very happy with the results. The staff have been very friendly and accomodating. Would highly recommend. read more

When I first contacted Dr. Desai's office / Dublin Plaza Dental I left a brief message with my contact info... Within a few minutes I received a return phone call from Dr. Desai. Personal call back? Hm... This was a very good first impression. He thoroughly interviewed me and was very engaged in the conversation listening to every history detail offered, concern I may have had and desired outcome I had hoped to achieve. I have been around the block a few times with dentists, not naive, so there was a voice inside saying, "beware, it could all be talk". Thankfully those experiences hadn't hardened me completely. I followed through with an open mind and a fresh attitude. At this point I have been through the evaluation, the cleanings, and have now had the problem that I had originally contacted him for resolved. Each step of the way it was a positive experience. Every expectation was exceeded; from the service to the explanation of my financial options. (of which I found to be very reasonable) Cannot say enough in regard to this practice. I couldn't be happier. Very sweet assistant too. :) Highly recommended. read more

My family and I have been using the services of Dublin Plaza Dental, since we moved to the area 12 years ago. Since that time, we have had lots of work done, from routine cleaning to tooth extraction to complicated bridge, crown, implants and partial replacement. Our experiences have been excellent! Dr. Desai and his team - my apologies to those members whose names I don't know- are fantastic. Everyone is caring, technically proficient, friendly, and knowledgeable. Dr. Desai is technically superb and has a very comforting, calm, caring, and pleasant demeanor. He worked on root canals, implants, replaced bridge, and crowns that were all 15 + years old and had outlived their usefulness. Everything was a very complicated, unusual and ambitious procedure and required several visits, each lasting 1 to 3 hours. From the beginning and throughout each visit, Dr. Desai took the time to explain, in detail, what the plan was and what to expect each step of the way, which made me feel very comfortable. He worked closely with the lab to ensure quality products that fit and worked well together and looked great. His technique for giving the required shots was excellent, resulting in painless delivery (something that I had never experienced before). His perfectionism, planning, attention to detail, and calm, efficient technical execution turned something that could have been somewhat harrowing into more of a routine, not even unpleasant, dental experience. I couldn't be happier with the results. Not only does everything fit and perform well, my smile has been significantly improved. His assistants also deserve special mention. They are calm and friendly personality along with their technical knowledge and always make me feel assured that I am getting the best care available. Additionally, it's clear that the office is well run with heavy emphasis on communication. Every time that I call the office or interact with anyone on staff, they are always familiar with the status of my current plan. This can only be achieved by a concerted effort to communicate by a dedicated and caring staff who consider themselves to be part of a united team. I feel very fortunate to have found Dublin Plaza Dental, Dr. Desai and his team and have no reservations in highly recommending their services. read more

My girls and i have been patients of Dr. Desai for years now, and we are very happy with his service...I love the fact that he takes time and explains everything to each of us of what we need and what he's going to do, and how to prevent it. I've had a root canal, wisdom tooth pulled and both have not been as bad as I had been told. He is a great dentist! His staff is friendly and make you feel comfortable. I recommend his Practice to anyone, (and I have and she's very happy with the service too). read more
