Her dad, who I have referred to as my baby daddy here on yelp, was laying on the floor after a long day at work out there flipping meat on the BBQ at Fircrest. He's really old, so he's a whiner. He creaks and cracks with every movement. So needless to say when our very large three-year-old did the cannon ball on his chest he was hurt. And many woman out there, Y'all know what I'm talking about. Men are winners when they are sick or hurt. ***That being said I just spent 2 1/2 hours on the phone no exaggeration trying to find a primary care doctor. He went to the ER a couple weeks ago but he is still walking around holding his abdomen like a wuss. Big surprise. No joke I spent 2 1/2 hours on this phone trying to find a primary care doctor. And yes we have insurance - we have excellent insurance. I had conversations with some of the rudest effing people I've ever talked to in my life. And I know I can be abrasive but i usually try and keep it light. Everybody hates their job these days I guess. Rude after another rude. All right I'm trying not to swear so I hope you get my point. ***I was just about to give up. When suddenly this ANGEL answered the phone. I shit you not she was a freaking angel. Not only did I not have to repeat myself 20 times. I gave her the same two minute run down I gave every other person of the details. Not only did I not have to repeat myself, which I despise doing, she did not ask me to re-spell our last name seven times. I couldn't believe how smart she was I offered her a job. She of course just laughed at me. And I was I ok with that. ***She booked my baby daddy an appointment for a week and a half out and she put us on the cancellation list. I was willing to let my baby daddy suffer for the next week and a half to get a decent doctor. Within 10 minutes of hanging up with this young lady - I was literally in the middle of writing this review. She calls me back to tell me that there's an opening for tomorrow at 10. COULD IT GET ANY BETTER!! ***Megan. If every business had one of you. The world would be a better place. I hope your doctor appreciates you. If it wasn't for you I would probably have no hair because I would be pulling it all out by now. Thank you. You are definitely an angel in disguise *******As always thank you for reading and have a peachy day*******

Two years ago I had crippling (literally, I couldn't walk...) pain in my left leg for 7 months…read more(technically "lateral cutaneous nerve irritation", ) until, quite by chance, at the Far West Furniture and Tea Company Christmas open house I discovered Bruno Rowell offering free chair massages. As soon as he started to work on me I could feel that he might be able to help me. (BrunoRowell@gmail.com) 707-291-7333. He has an intuitive approach, is very knowledgeable about anatomy, and has a rather unusual presence, which might contribute to his good cure rate. Who knows why ???? He's just good. His office is upstairs in the newish mustard yellow building on Hwy 116 near Hwy 12 with Community Bank on the ground floor. Two Chiropractors, One Sports Medicine practitioner, one massage therapist and one medical doctor had failed to cure me prior to my fortuitous discovery of Bruno. He successfully knocked out the 7 months of pain in 2 bodywork sessions. I have continued to see him, first for prevention, and now just for fun. I have sent many friends and some of my yoga students to him (Friends drive up from SF!!! hard to believe....) and they have mostly been as amazed as I am. Bruno charges $80 for a 1 hour appointment (which is a generous hour...) and $120 for 90 minutes. I recommend him for a good massage, - but most importantly I recommend him if you have pain. I have been a student and practitioner of holistic psychology for three decades so have been fortunate to have been 'treated' by some really talented and lovely bodywork practitioners. Bruno is unusual. We are lucky to have him in Sebastopol.

Like many other reviewers have said, he is intuitive in his work, but that "intuitive feel" is backed by thousands of hours of study on his part. He didn't just get his massage certification and quit there, he is a constant student of the human body. Through my years of seeing him I have talked with him about his study in many different styles of massage, energy work, chiropractic, sports medicine, and more. Bruno has helped me maneuver through all manner of things, bike crashes, running injuries, a terrible car accident, child birth (x2), stress, sadness, happiness, huge life changes, well... life! He starts by taking a look at your alignment, then more or less straightens your bones out on the table before he starts work on your soft tissue - it makes a big difference because it helps the soft tissue release much better when your body is in basic alignment. He is more than generous with his time and I hate getting massages anywhere else because they are never as good as his, and I always feel like I should just save my money to get a massage from him when I get home!

Now that I got the comedy out of the way, lets get onto he good stuff. I've worked with Ken several times. He has tried to prevent his colleagues for doing surgery by trying his level best with non-interventional therapies. It is unfortunate that I had to have several but he was wildly successful on one shot that he has earned his place in my Orthopedic hall of fame book. He tried to prevent surgery or fix the pain on a couple of occasion in my much worked on right shoulder. That damage was too great to be fixed by Prp. He did the best he could but you aren't going to spin out enough growth factors from the blood of a man in his 60's but he did his best and he has a VERY skilled hand at injections. After my third shoulder surgery, I found a tear in my forearm tendons. it was not complete but very deep and very long. He wanted to do another round of PRP but I brought up a different approach. One of the stem cell therapies. I've been in Big Pharma for 30 years and while I am not a Doctor, I know my way around data. Doc was open to the discussion... which was funny as hell with the banter that went between us like two top tennis players volleying back and forth. He decided that I made a decent enough case to give it a shot. Doc decided on Whartons Jelly. I won't go into specifics but Insurance doesn't cover the product and I paid out of pocket. The $1,500 I paid was cheap as hell for the results we had. Six weeks post surgery and with zero PT (my fault) I went back for an eval. It was completely resolved. We both looked and almost shat ourslevess at the results. It was completely resolved. Totally and completely resolved. As I am having deterioration in my left ankle from a previous surgery that was no the surgeon's fault, I am planning on calling Ken next week to get him to inject my left ankle. It hasn't split yet and this might just keep that from happening. You can't go wrong with Dr. Honsik. He will listen and he will achieve by doing his level best to prevent his colleagues from having to cut me open yet again. You? ... You could you do worse for sure. Could you do better? NO. He is the man.
