I am glad that middle eastern community is realising that this city needs some authentic middle…read moreeastern restaurants. This restaurant has exceeded my expectations in the authenticity of arabic and lebanese cuisine in Birmingham. I am glad to say that I don't have to plan to go to edgware road in london to have good arabic food. It is all here now. Inside the restaurant they have ample seating space including curtained family rooms. The service is very good, the waiters are well mannered compared to some other arabic restaurants near by where they have no bloody manners. Not to mention any names. When eating out I carefully choose which restaurant to eat, especially if I am dressed up nice I don't want my clothes to stink of the food when I come out of the restaurant and this restaurant is on my top list now. You can't smell any food when you enter. Its clean and well equipped with ventilation system. Even if you are going to sit right next to the Shawarma counter, you won't smell any thing and you will come out of the restaurant still smelling nice with your aftershave of perfumes. When I ordered my food I specifically asked the waiter if the food will be as it is meant to be in middle eastern countries as I told him that I have not had any good arabic food in this city, the waiter smiled at me and said they are all fake. I kind of agree with him. Shwarma is the main dish I ordered to see if the waiter's claims were right about they having the authentic food and yes when the food arrived I was totally blown away. Nice and tender meat of lamb and chicken shawarma as it meant to be.. Lamb Tagine, Humous, Laban, Mixed Kafta they all tasted so tender and juicy with that authentic taste of middle eastern food. This restaurant has got lots of options on menu to choose from starters, side dishes, main courses, desserts, juices, ice creams, cakes, all tasting yummy. Fully recommend this place to all to try. If you are meat eater and like good food, then this is the place to be. Price is right as well, I would say mid range prices as with all the restaurants usually are. Most of the staff is arabic speaking but they do understand english, maybe won't be able to speak much english but they know what we are talking about in english. If you speak arabic then they will give you the best service ever, a bonus I guess. Parking is a problem at day time but in the evening there is plenty of parking spaces available around the restaurant on main coventry road.

I ordered the Lamb with okra and I highly recommend anyone who visits to try it. The restaurant is nice and has a relaxing atmosphere, always clean which is very important to me and the workers there a so lovely and welcoming. My freinds and I visit every Wednesday to drink their yummy milk tea which is made deliciously. It goes great along side their freshly baked pastries/breads. Thank you for always welcoming us to your wonderful restaurant

Bader Restaurant, Ladypool Road, is second branch of original Bader restaurant from Small Heath in…read moreBirmingham,. If you have read my review about that then you will be surprised to read that complete opposite of that review here. I had a chance to go to try this branch, not sure about the quality and service from previous branch... but I was totally in for surprise. What a welcome, beautiful family environment with traditional comfortable seatings. The restaurant doesn't make your cloth stink after you have left the place, this is the main factor I look for a good restaurant. Secondly I like to see how the service is, and this place has lots of good things to talk about. The service is superb compared to previous (original branch experience) experience. I went on Thursday night and the place was quiet but very peaceful. Very clean and family friendly. The price is reasonable for authentic arabian food in my opinion. I went with family so we ordered few different dishes to try out. And they were all yummy as usually arabian food is always yummy. Very healthy as they use a lot of lemon, which is very good for digestion and burning your body fat. They have good parking space on the side road at the back of the restaurant. They have good space to serve good amount of customers. I will fully recommend this place to anyone who would like to try some authentic lebanese food in Birmingham. I am so happy that so many arabian food restaurants are springing up in Birmingham and most of them are superb as they serve authentic arabian food with good standards. So in short, Anyone want good authentic arabian food, Go to BADER Restaurant on Ladypool Road, they are SUPERB.

Nice Persian restaurant offering delicious food! I thought the establishment itself was beautiful…read moreand had a charming Middle Eastern personality to it. The garden setting was my favorite area; next time, I will definitively go back there to partake in a shisha session hehe... A little indulgence here and there won't hurt anyone! My group opted to go for the Mezza to sample a variety of dishes: Hommous, Baba Ghanoujj, Salata Arabia, Warek Enab, falafel, and shawarma. The falafel and warek enab were my favorites. They also had flavorful baklava... They don't sell alcohol, but you're welcome to bring your own. We brought wine and champagne since we were celebrating a friend's PhD scholarship. Habibi simply charged a small corkage fee, and were very accommodating.

The food is awesome, particularly the range of veggie stuff on offer. It's cheap too - I usually go in with one particular friend and order far too many dishes so have to sit for hours eating, drinking and chatting. Some tables are 'proper' - you know, real seats at the proper height with backs and everything some of the areas are on the floor with huge cushions and squat tables, great for huddling around and making plans. The star of the show at Habibi's though is the huge tent at the back, with a massive charcoal barbecue in the centre, where you can sit to eat and smoke shisha. Shoes off first though! Particularly good on a rainy night - it doesnt seem that the tent should be waterproof (it appears to be made from rugs), but it is. It's BYO here and there's an off licence just opposite.

Has anyone tried Lebanese cuisine in Birmingham before? I…read moredon't think so... but now you can... this place has some great food, a pure taste of lebanese food. All the authentic middle eastern food you can get is here.. pure The price is average but you will get plates full of meat and rice or chunky chips, which I dare if you can finish all of it. I had been there three time, once with my company colleagues, once on my own and once with my friend, and on all occasions i could'nt finish my ordered dish. it is full of meaty ricy yummy plates, its so delicious that you don't want to stop eating. Good range of most of the famous lebanese cuisine choice. Upstairs place for families and couples. Downstairs is always busy with people eating those big plates full of yummy food. But one thing i was very disappointed, was the staff. There is one person in the staff, he is very rude with customers and most of the time he won't listen to you. and if you ask him to bring some water, you will get the water at the end of your meal after reminding him again and again for water. I wish they get rid of him or concentrate more on their staff manners. Its a typical arab style dealing with customers, rude style as its known in UK... otherwise if you want some good food and desserts, this is the place. The one and only middle eastern food with pure middle eastern taste.

The tables and chairs were as CLEAN as ive ever seen which was good. Will eat there again but will steer well clear of the fat n bone, oops I mean T-Bone steak.

A friend took me in here the first time I went, and I had no idea what to choose to eat. I wasn't that familiar with Lebanese food, let alone Lebanese bakery! But I'd trusted my friend's great choices in the past, and now I love this place! To this day, I'm still amazed at how fresh all the food is. Most takeaways I've experienced have been quite greasy, and I usually only go in them after drinking copious amounts at the pub. But Al Barakah's bread is a deliciously healthy option, especially when compared to the balti curry that has ended my nights all too often. The fish here is always cooked to perfection and almost melts in your mouth; There's also a wide range of vegetarian options such as their tasty falafel, which again, I highly recommend. Al Barakah's is family-run; all the staff are always welcoming, and make sure you're very happy with their service. For me, this has to be the best takeaway in Brum.

As it is, it's tucked away at the bottom of Mary Street and well on the way to the less salubrious (and distinctly less fashionable) Highgate. The location should NOT put you off, however. This is a brilliant place. The food here is fresh and tasty and amazingly cheap and is one of our favourite places for a takeaway - especially in summer months when you can get a great selection of freshly baked breads, home-made dips and the like. Add these to some of the more exotic and adventurous dishes on offer. Highly recommended!
