I moderated a panel last week and a panelist I was being introduced to said, "yes, the woman with the most amazing head shot." Yesterday morning we did our 5th(!) family mini session shoot with Stacey in a garden next to the Capitol. It's wonderful to get these beautiful shots of our children growing up -- and have some shots with me that I love that aren't selfies! Years ago Stacey took an iconic (among our family and friends) photo of my son sulking off to the left of the Washington monument when my husband and I were were standing to the right smiling while pregnant with our daughter. That same day Stacey was able to joke around with our son and get the best shots of him smiling and enjoying himself. Our daughter enjoys the shoots just as much. Thank you, Stacey!

The kids felt they were included in the process and were therefore happy to comply with her requests. She has a gentle and very effective way of working with people and I greatly appreciate that! We cannot wait to see our photos! :) and we look forward to working with Stacey again in the future!!

You should be aware that the owner (Mary) is not the photographer. She has no knowledge of, or…read morecontrol over, the photographer's work. I cannot recommend this photographer. I paid $450 for professional photography for my daughter's first birthday, a once-in-a-lifetime celebration that cost over $7,000. I trusted this photographer to capture such a special occasion, but the final gallery was extremely disappointing. Many of the photos were taken from low, unflattering angles, had poor composition, or were unnecessarily repetitive. Several important moments were either missed or not captured well. What was even more disappointing was the response afterward. When I raised my concerns, the photographer claimed that the angles had been "edited to eye level." That explanation made little sense. While editing can adjust exposure, color, and cropping, it generally cannot change the original camera angle or perspective. A photo taken from a low angle cannot realistically be transformed into an eye-level shot through editing alone. The photographer also failed to avoid obvious reflections in people's eyeglasses. Can you imagine paying $450 for professional photos, only to receive images in which bright white glare obscures people's eyes and faces? Instead of acknowledging the problems or offering a reasonable solution, Mary, the owner, refused to take responsibility or provide a refund. This was my daughter's once-in-a-lifetime first birthday, and after spending over $7,000 on the celebration, I expected professional-quality photographs that would preserve those memories. Unfortunately, both the quality of the photographs and the customer service fell far below my expectations.

We did our research on him…read moreand searched all of the sites that may have had any reviews of him and I will say that we were not disappointed one bit! Asa was professional and precise from start to finish! He me us via virtual chat (since we are still in a pandemic) and wanted to just break the ice and go over the process and packages that we would like for our wedding. Everything was decently priced and was explained in detail by Asa. On our wedding day we went for the 2nd photographer and I am glad that we did because we wanted to capture the moments for my wife just as much as the moments of myself leading up to the ceremony. We had plenty of shots to choose from and on top of that Asa created a photo album for us with selected shots that just made you feel like you were in a movie! The pics were just so crisp and the resolution of the pictures were awesome. My wife was very please with the results and we will definitely use Asa for future events! I just want to say that Asa was an AMAZING photographer for my wedding and provided great pictures and shots for us to remember the big day.

He absolutely delivered on this. He was incredibly easy to work with on all aspects; from being super responsive, to making us feel comfortable while taking the photos, to producing beautiful images. He also turned around the proofs and final photos very quickly.

She had lots of suggestions and ideas on location and the timing to optimize the sunlight during the winter that we really appreciated. Rachel also directed us on how to pose without making it seem awkward, and we loved how the pictures turned out. She is very responsive to emails and got our pictures back to us way quicker than we anticipated. I was very lucky to have Rachel recommended to me - she is quite literally the BEST professional I've ever had the pleasure to work with. I could tell from the first response from her that she was the person I wanted to work with. I'm someone who is extremely detail oriented and she still managed to blow me away - her style guide of tips and tricks for the shoot for starters - and she was extremely flexible in my pushing my shoot back a few days so I could set up hair, makeup, the right outfits etc. once I had a chance to read her guide! She truly makes sure you are the best version of prepared before the shoot. She even recommended Carolyn Thombs (and other makeup/hair stylists etc.) in her guide, she was also amazing. There was a chance of rain the day of my shoot and she proactively reached out to offer an alternative location or a rebook. Thankfully the weather cleared and we didn't need either. I was nervous when I arrived but Rachel was calm, cool, collected and fun! She walked me through all the kinds of poses, walks, facial expressions etc. She has this down to a SCIENCE!! She even managed to make Union Station look glamorous and had so many amazing ideas that I never would have thought of. When she sent me the photos I actually got tears in my eyes I loved them so much. I told everyone I know that I've found my photographer for life - I quite simply will never work with someone else. If Rachel can be your photographer for your special moment consider yourself lucky!!!
