We we were recommended By Asa from our wedding venue list of vendors. We did our research on him and searched all of the sites that may have had any reviews of him and I will say that we were not disappointed one bit! Asa was professional and precise from start to finish! He me us via virtual chat (since we are still in a pandemic) and wanted to just break the ice and go over the process and packages that we would like for our wedding. Everything was decently priced and was explained in detail by Asa. On our wedding day we went for the 2nd photographer and I am glad that we did because we wanted to capture the moments for my wife just as much as the moments of myself leading up to the ceremony. We had plenty of shots to choose from and on top of that Asa created a photo album for us with selected shots that just made you feel like you were in a movie! The pics were just so crisp and the resolution of the pictures were awesome. My wife was very please with the results and we will definitely use Asa for future events! The worst wedding photos I have ever seen in my entire life. I have spent a lot of money trying to have photos fixed so I can have them printed and hang them on my wall. If you're interested in unflattering photos and someone who is absolutely incompetent in the skill of lighting, then this is the man for you. My wife and I got married in October 2017, so this review comes late but he deserves every bit of praise we can give him. Asa was, at first meet, incredibly professional, kind, and accommodating. We knew we wanted to hire him once we took a look at his portfolios, which illustrated exactly how talented he is. I'll also note that as a same-sex couple, it's really comforting to talk to a vendor and know that we're immediately accepted and treated like any other couple. After we officially hired him, Asa continued to be just as kind and accommodating throughout the year leading up to the wedding day, and made sure to prompt us with things that needed doing (payment, list of groupings, etc.), because we obviously had a lot going on and would have forgotten. On the day of the wedding, Asa arrived early and ready to go. He asked both me and my at-the-time-fiancée if there was anything we wanted him to photograph ahead of time, before he started on his own. We loved that. Asa made a huge impact on everyone at the wedding - EVERYONE loved him. 8 months later, people STILL talk to us about our "awesome ninja photographer." Yes, ninja photographer. Asa got over 2,000 shots (way more than he initially quoted us at, which we were thrilled about) - and he did so while hardly being seen. He got some really amazing moments, both candid and otherwise, before the wedding, during the ceremony, and at the reception. We booked him for 8 hours so he could photograph us both getting ready, get the entirety of the ceremony, and have him there until just after the cake was cut. Asa got right to it during the dreaded posed pictures - you know, when you have to wrangle both your families and friends and keep everyone on track so you don't waste time. He got through the pictures in great timing, and then when it was time for portraits of my wife and me, he literally ran around, in his suit, with all of his camera gear, through fields of brush, to get the absolute perfect shots. And now that we have the pictures, I can confirm that it was well worth it, because they are stunning. Right at the end of his time, Asa came up to me and my new wife to let us know he was wrapping up and if there were any final shots he wanted us to get, which we actually did. He made himself available to us throughout the day and evening, and we could not possibly be more thrilled with our decision to go with Asa. A couple weeks after the wedding, Asa gave us a sneak preview of some of his favorite shots, and they were breathtaking. A few weeks after that, he sent us a flash drive with well over 2,000 photos - and he edited more than he said he would, which was lovely. Now, 8 months later, my wife and I became homeowners for the first time. We're making a collage of photo frames, and realized the 4x6 sizing of our wedding pictures weren't going to work. We reached out to Asa and he answered immediately saying that he'd reformat them for us, no problem. He's reliable, he's professional, he's remarkably talented, and he's so, so kind. If you want your wedding captured in the best way possible, I urge you to go with Asa. We'll certainly be coming back to him in the future, and will refer everyone we know to him. read more

We loved working with Asa since the first time that we met with him we know he was the one. He was so attentive and caring regarding our situation due to COVID-19. Asa was great. I messaged him on Sunday and we were able to take photos that Thursday. He emailed me a few days later with proofs and had my photos very quickly afterward. I have three kids, who are a handful, especially when trying to take photos. We've taken family photos before, but this was our best session yet, because we kept moving. My fiance and I are working with Asa for our wedding this May. I can't even begin to describe how amazing he is. I spent several meetings and numerous emails grilling him pretty hard and he's never been anything but perfectly professional. His photography concept was exactly what we were looking for - a little photojournalistic, a little candid, not stiff or fake. He intuitively understands what we want and has fit right into our concept. We had our engagement shoot with him this past summer, and the shoot went amazingly well. We had some ideas for venues and he had some ideas too that built upon that, so we shot at both, and some of our favorites ended up being at the venue he picked. He was so patient and took his time getting just the right shots. He was so focused and attentive on our shoot that we were actually the ones that had to end it after several hours, as we had some other things to get to that afternoon. The pictures? INCREDIBLE. We are so glad that we went with Asa for our wedding photographer! We chose him because we really like his candid shots and talking to him was very easy - he has a very relaxed personality, which definitely helped us relax more in our posed shots. And when we said candids of our guests were more important to us - he absolutely delivered! I contacted several Washington DC area photographers, in an effort to get professional headshot photos done quickly for two professional websites. Asa responded to my voicemail quickly, and was extremely professional, kind, and clear on what he would do and the charges involved. He made it extremely convenient for us because he came to our location to shoot the photos. (He brought and set up the backdrop (color we discussed by phone), lighting, seat and equipment needed to get the job down. Further, Asa went above and beyond the call of duty, in that he weathered a SNOWSTORM to get to us. Best of all, the final images are much better than I imagined they'd be (given the amount of touchup needed on one of the subjects). His pricing was extremely reasonable (much more cost effective than all of the other photographers I contacted). He formatted the jpgs to the size and resolution needed - and delivered the product in the short timeframe we requested. Communications were all clear, prompt, and product as promised (actually better). I don't know why my previous review was deleted. That makes me think Asa doesn't want anyone knowing what an unscrupulous rip-off artist he is. Very unprofessional. I had hired this guy to do my wedding. He was extremely late, confused, frumpy. Little to no personality whatsoever and he insulted my bride's mother!!! Terrible pictures!!! There were many of them not even in focus! The photography he showed me earlier (which landed the gig) must have been done by someone else. Guests were distracted by his unsightliness and general lack of social skills. I recommend him to no one. What was supposed to be our special day was ruined by this man. Hands down.
