Big Foot sighting?
A pot of gold at the end of a rainbow??
A short, shy Dutchie who doesn't eat cheese and slices of bread for breakfast and lunch?!?
How about one of the best ravioli dishes you've had in a looooong time?!
Yes folks. In this super unassuming gym center, there is a café where you can get awesome food! When I initially was told to meet some friends at this café, I wasn't sure if I was going to be eating Chocolate Chunk Power Bars with a side of lean Vanilla Protein Shake or having a bland saltless combination of steamed broccoli and baked chicken breast sure to help rebuild torn muscle tissues after a hard work out. What I didn't know, was that I would be eating some delish food!
The menu is a typical dutch menu: kip sate, pastas, broodjes... yeah, if you've been to one, you've been to them all. So when faced with a menu that seems to be fairly normal, I stick with things you can't go wrong with like pasta. And it was for sure the right choice!!!
I had something like truffle oil ravioli stuffed with cheese and spinach. Sounds pretty normal, right? I'm telling you, I haven't had ravioli that tasted that good in a LONG ass time! In order to validate this deliciousness, I passed the plate around to the other members of my feasting table and they agreed that it was one of the best they've had! On top of that, we were giving friets in the middle of our table that put all those "best fries in all of Amsterdam" places to shame. I'm taking fresh, hot, crispy, gut filling fries. LEKKER! The food portion was HUGE so I unfortunately could only eat 62% of my plate and what a 62% it was!!! The other dishes looked equally as good and everyone liked their meals, but I for sure wasn't going to waste valuable stomach space for their shizzle.
So, if you are in this area or just got done with a long work out, and you are looking to completely negate what physical efforts you have put forth with this calorie intense café, GO! Besides, for something that tastes so good, you can always go to the gym later and work it off. If I'm in the area, I WILL be back to rav some more violi!!!
