Recently my washing machine stopped working and I called a repairman recommended to me by an acquaintance. Unfortunately the repairman informed me that it would cost about the same as buying a new washer to repair my old washer. He gave me the number for DT's Used Appliances and recommended I give them a call if I wanted to save some money. I called DT's Used Appliance and spoke with Kelly. She was very pleasant and seemed helpful. I explained to her that I was an in-home oxygen patient so rarely went out. I asked her about the washers that were available and she offered to snap some photos and send them to me via text. The next day I received several photos of washers that appeared to be in good condition. I selected a Samsung top loader which was priced at $375.00. I asked when the washer could be delivered and was told it would be Monday (I was calling on Thursday) and since I REALLY needed to get some laundry done I asked if I could have a friend bring the $375.00 and pick up the washer that day. My friend went to the location on Old Lebanon Road and met with Kelly. He came to my house with the washer I had selected and hooked the washer up and took my old washer away for me. I started to wash the floor to ceiling pile of dirty clothes that had accumulated over the course of a week and the very first load the washer failed to spin the water out of the clothes. In short, I was sold a washer that didn't work as advertised. I called the next day to report that the washer I had purchased the day before did not work. That is when the whole picture of how this business operates came into focus. I was told that I had purchased the appliance "as-is". I was then told if I wanted DT's Used Appliances to repair the washer I needed to bring it to them since they did not deliver it to my home. I pointed out just how difficult it and expensive it would be for me to take the broken washer back to the purchase location given that I am disabled and on constant oxygen. I also pointed out that in Tennessee there is an implied warranty of merchantability and that selling me a washer that did not work was a breach of that warranty. After some back and forth with Kelly she told me that they might be able to get someone to come look at it the following Monday which was 3 more days I would spend without a washer. I insisted that it be repaired and made to work immediately and I guess I got my point across because I was told a repairman would come later that same day. At approximately 6:30 pm a repairman showed up and looked at the washer. I described the situation to him and he replaced a part that was completely worn out and left. I attempted to do a load of laundry and when it came time to spin the water out on the final cycle it was the same as before. The washer would not spin the water out of the clothes. I ended up wringing the water out by hand. I followed up the next day to let DT's Used Appliances know the repair didn't fix the problem. I was told they would send another repairman out "sometime next week". I gave up and decided to start trying again on Monday. On Monday I called and got the same story that I had purchased the washer "as is" and that the "warranty" DT's Used Appliances claims in their marketing material didn't guarantee any time frame for repairs. I then started reading the reviews on DT's Used Appliances and found that many, many consumers had been subjected to the same sort of situation I was dealing with. When I was unable to pin down a date and time to have a repairman fix the broken machine I informed DT's Used Appliances that I would be having my friend bring back their broken washer and I expected a full refund of the $375.00 case I had paid to them. My friend took the machine back and they refused to refund my money. He left the broken washer in the front of the building. My calls and text to Kelly the next day culminated in me being told not to send any more texts and that I was harassing them and to stop calling. I honored that and am in the process of filing a lawsuit in small claims. I have filed a consumer complaint with the appropriate authorities and referred DT's Used Appliances to the Tennessee Department of Revenue for investigation of likely violating the sales tax laws since they quoted me a higher price if I used a credit card and a lower price for cash which indicates cash sales are probably not reported or being under-reported. If you are considering doing business with these people my personal advice is DO NOT give them a dime. Run, don't walk, away from this place. And a note to Will and Kelly Muncey, I'll see you in court and it will not be a good look for you and your business. You should have refunded my money when you had the chance! read more

Save yourself some stress and stay from this business. Bought a washer and dryer from DT in Donelson. Was told he would deliver it in two days in the morning. So I took off work in the morning for the delivery, no call no show. After multiple calls to him, he finally answered the phone; said I'd be next . An hour later I called again to tell him I didn't have time for him to deliver as I had to get to work. Washer didn't work. Called several times for him to fix it/stopped in the store, etc. I was told 4-5 times he'd be over to fix and left me hanging with no call, no text and of course, no show. I called my credit card company to dispute and they took off the charges. I bought another set, but have their set in my garage because he won't come and get it. In my last communication with him to pick up the units, he texted that since I was no longer a customer, he had to take care of his customers first and didn't want to leave them hanging. We bought a washer from this place two months ago. Within just a couple of weeks it stopped working. It took them a week to come and look at it. He LITERALLY was in and out in LESS than 5 minutes. Said to elevate the hose. Ok we did and it STILL didn't work. We called them back. Four different times they told us they were coming and NEVER showed or called to say they weren't coming. Finally after almost 3 weeks later they came I had to call three times in the same day but they finally came out and again was back there for LESS than 5 minutes. It is full of MILDEW and smells awful! I would NOT recommend this place. We even have a 3 month warranty. They just need to take this piece of junk back and give a refund. We bought a washer here, and it came when they said it would, and was set up properly and it works great. So when it came time to get a refrigerator for our garage, we went back and found a used Kenmore that seemed to be what we were looking for. The same installers came but seemed to be in a hurry and ruined the hook up for the ice maker. I've been calling for months and they kept promising to come back and fix it, but never came. Update as promised. I agree it is frustrating to get vm message "mailbox full" and to not be called when promised. However in this case, things are working for now. I just have to remember to use hot for cold and cold for hot -something about a left handed plumber. Ruined a few clothes due to cold was really hot and you know what that causes. We have been customers for over 2 years buying multiple products from them never had an issue. I sent a family member there and the customer service and delivery were awful. They promised delivery then didn't deliver, no phone call stating sorry pushing to another day nothing. Then again and again! Finally got a hold of them four days later we wanted a refund if not delivered. They even hung up on us after talking on the phone. We finally received products 2.5 hrs after stated delivery time. Don't go here. I got my washer and dryer back in April. My dryer broke 3 weeks ago, is supposed to be under warranty, and I've called weekly about it and still they have not scheduled an appointment with me to come and fix their product under their warranty. It took them over a week to properly install my dryer and took me going and yelling in person to get something done. Guess I'll be up yelling again on Tuesday. Went to DTs to get a new used dryer on Saturday 2/16/19. Found a great whirlpool for $150. On 2/19/19 the dryer stopped drying clothes. It came with a 4month warranty so i called the store an arranged for a tech to come look at it. Heard from a tech on 2/20/19 and he informed me that because I picked up the dryer (instead of paying for delivery) that a tech would not come out to my house and that i would have to take the dryer all the way to their warehouse in Lebanon. You would think being a smaller buisness they wouldnt care about the fine print and focus more on the fact that i have only had the product THEY SOLD for only 4 DAYS BEFORE IT BROKE. But the laundry has to get done so i loaded it up and took it to the warehouse. The tech i was dealing with was amazing. Very thorough and new what he was doing. I watched him take the dryer apart only to see piles of built up lent (some of it was burnt from the heating element) exposed wires, buttons and pennies everywhere. This dryer was clearly not cleaned or inspected before sold. The tech ended up replacing the heating element, correctly sealed and attached the exposed wires, vacuumed the inside of the dryer and had to replace the drum itself. So after 5 days of purchasing a dryer from this company, i had to spend $150 on it, have it break, load it and travel all the way to Lebanon just to get it fixed only to find out that the reason it broke was due to their negligence. Only thing this company has going for it is the tech that ACTUALLY repaired my dryer. The lack of compassion, understanding, dependability and customer service is the reason you should not purchase from this company. read more

Absolutely horrible experience! Do not buy here whatever you do. I bought a stove that worked for almost one hour. Then there was a loud pop and smoke. The stove died and has not worked since. I just bought it 4 days ago. I've called twice and I've been told that a technician will call me to service it. NO CALL - NO WORKING STOVE - NOTHING! And the idiot who answers the phone doesn't seem to understand why I'm upset. No idea of when or if the mystery service technician will ever call. AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE!!! Only giving 1 star because 0 stars wasnt an option. Beware of DT's Appliances! Purchased a "gently used" dryer for a discounted price which come with a 4 month warranty. Less than 2 weeks later the heating element has gone out completely. Their tech will come fix it for a $90 trip fee, or we can haul it out to Lebanon to their warehouse to have it fixed. The warehouse is only open from 9-3 Tues-Friday. So....we can either pay $90 to have someone come fix the piece of crap they sold us or take a day off of work, load it up, drive to BFLebanon and wait who knows how long for them to fix it. Hindsight is 20/20, but you can learn from our mistake! Either buy new or DON'T go to DT's in Donelson. read more

I would have given them zero stars if that was an option. They claim to be a Christian company but are just Devils in disguise. I put a deposit on a washer and due to circumstances with my landlord I will be moving and no longer need one. So they took $50 from my deposit for doing absolutely nothing. I never completed the sale so they knew their all sales are final wouldn't hold up, so they enacted a 20% restock fee on the spot that is in no way outlined in the paperwork or in the store. I came in to purchase a used washer. My husband put the dolly under the front of the washer and moved it out because there was no one available to load it. When he got it he saw that it was broken. They refused to give us a refund. The owner was contacted by phone and says my husband broke it! He wanted us to take it to him in Lebanon for repair. I just want my money back. Just bought a washer and dryer from these people. The adsaid $350. We get there and it's got Sharpie writing all over it, probably from one of the employees on accident because it seemed to have number written on it. The manager who was selling it said that it is $350 but it would be $400 to install and delivered. We were slightly hesitant because the add said $350 with all that included. But we were reassured that we did not need to worry about anything and did not need anything because they would take care of it. It was two days and the instillation people informed my wife that she needed to by a dryer hose and had to buy one from Lowe's. They left the job half done at the house so I called to complain. I am out of state on Business and the asshole who did he owned the place asked me "What you want me to do? Pay for your water bill as well." I guess if they can get you to sign on the dotted line they don't care what they say to you... Like a used car salesmen.
